Anyone ever have any issues with vaping at a walmart?

After just buying my eleaf i decided I was going to vape it at walmart like I have several times over. This time how ever the greeter guy decided to tell me that i wasn't allowed to use the device in the store as I walked out to grab my wallet from in my car. Talking to the store manager however, He said there was nothing in the store polices about vaping and I could do so as I wished. No one ever said a word to me when I had my Spinner or my Vamo, but now that I actually have a box people start speaking up.
I work at Walmart. I read the policy recently, electronic cigarettes are considered tobacco products by Walmart, with the same rules. The greeter decided to tell you that because he was doing his job. Store managers aren't always in the know, and customer soothing is on the top of their priority list :)

You

You're talking
like this
it doesn't make any
sense
It's just really annoying
Why do you do that?

It looks a bit like poetry,
Except it doesn't rhyme,
Most of the tyme.

Hey did you see that.
My God I'm a Poet,
And I never even knowed it.

If you think that's all the recent bill(group of bills) that just passed out of a committee does, you're in for a surprise.

No. I don't think that's all that the recent bill does. But if ONE of those would protect my privacy, protect my personal space, and preserve my personal choice of not being clouded, and not to be forced to breathe second hand vapor of flavors like cheesecake, peanut butter, cactus cooler, red vines, etc., then I will surely support a bill as such because of the replies and responses to this thread, like "I'll vape where I want to because it's not illegal" does not protect my privacy, protect my personal space, and preserve my personal choice.

These are the six bills introduced in the recent special session in CA:
  • SB 5 & AB 6, regulating electronic cigarettes to meet existing tobacco laws;
  • SB 6 & AB 7, adding hotel lobbies, small businesses, break rooms and tobacco retailers to the list of smoke-free workplaces;
  • SB 7 & AB 8, changing the legal smoking age from 18 to 21;
  • SB 8 & AB 9, requiring schools to be tobacco-free;
  • SB 9 & AB 10, allowing local jurisdictions to tax tobacco; and
  • SB 10 & AB 11, creating an annual Board of Equalization tobacco licensing fee program
(some of these bills I don't approve of, but...)

Aren't there times where you just don't want to vape in there because it's just not appropriate?
Isn't there a time where you just want to eat peacefully at a restaurant and not have a cloud of vapor in your face when taking a bite?
Are there not moments where you just want to walk through aisles at the supermarket not worrying about ducking and weaving through clouds of peanut butter or custard flavored vapor?

I think this, "it's my right to vape wherever and whenever I want to" is getting out of hand. Common etiquette is nonexistent.

You're projecting this conversation into an alternate reality.

I have never been put in the situations you speak of.

Nor am I aware of any instance where I've caused one.

I suspect those stats are unanimous in this discussion.

You're not speaking to children here.

This is true. One day after I vehemently complained about the price of their Scotts fertilizer, I got a prostate massage from Ulga the Ukrainian girl working in the yard department. She could have taken off the Mechanix gloves first but still it was nice.

I think ^^^THIS^^^ is taking very much of what many here have posted in a very unfair and biased manor. That is the very type of attitude from many non-anything self right persons that makes everything worse for everyone. It is the eptimy of the beginning of
I DON'T LIKE (...) SO IT SHOULD NOT BE!

A single puff/Draw/Toot or whatever does not indicate in any way BLOWING Clouds of Rancid Fragrances in anyone's face.
A drizzle is NOT a Monsoon
An Empty store Isle is not a Restaurant.

I am not saying there are not OBNOXIOUS SELF RIGHTEOUS Vapers that think they can do anything they please. Those type will do whatever, Vaping or not. Bad Apples are Bad apples irregardless of the Basket they come in.

Pretty sure that's a typical Walmart experience many of us have had, but more importantly, did you vape?

One time when I was outside, I saw a vaper blow his stuff in a person's face. And another time, I saw the wind carry the exhaled vapor over to some innocent person's face.

For this reason, I've determined that it is simply rude to vape everywhere indoors and outdoors where people might be present. This includes my own home and yard. I think only addicts need to vape outdoors where people might be present. They obviously don't care about humanity at all.

Sometimes I'll stealth vape (shhhh, don't tell anyone) in my basement, but only when the lights are off and I know no one will be in that location for awhile. But when I want to vape and not offend anyone, I'll take a trip to the north pole and take a few puffs, cause that's all I ever really need. I'm very considerate and I wish all the rest of you were like me. Your vaping outdoors in public is what is going to bring us all down. If I see you doing it there, I may just report you myself, cause I'm a very considerate person.

My ANTZ friends think I'm a great person too.

I like threads like this cause it tells me how much more righteous I am than most other vapers who can't seem to go 10 days without needing a puff. Some of you have big problems if you can't wait that long and think of vaping as something for your own personal enjoyment. If my kids are ever playing outdoors and I see you vaping in your car, I will get your license plate number and hope they arrest you for having the nerve to harm my kids like that. If I can do it in my own basement (shhh don't tell anyone that I do), then surely you can too.

You too? You got lucky. My masseuse was wearing those BBQ King oven mitts. It was awful.

Common etiquette/courtesy does not require legislation. Those bills you highlighted do much more than their titles suggest. Consider that vape shops and e-liquid manufacturer labs are "workplaces", what SB6 & AB7 are specifically doing, is removing the exemptions for those places. So not only can you not use a vaporizer in a vape shop, for any reason, the person coming up with new recipes can't test them in their own lab.

If you want people to be courteous, that is one thing, if you're going to cry for legislation because someone may hypothetically offend you, that is something totally different.
