now im getting deeper into the world of vaping and learning every day. im noticing that nearly help and info is coming from over the seas from the USA.
i know its taking off over here in the UK but it seems we are a bit behind you guys.
even with the smaller ego set ups people would give you strange looks. but they are all starting to recognise them and seen as normal.
but now im carrying my Vamo and kayfun i get some proper odd looks not to mention stranger looks when i kick out a mushroom cloud of smoke in the local bars.

went off on a tangent there..
my question is how is vaping seen where you come from?
its slowly getting banned in places round here as each shop store or place puts up the no ecigs allowed due to our policies i have started emailing them asking to see their policy on this and why they are banning them.
it wont be long in the UK until vaping will be banned every where just as smoking is now.

Slowly being banned in some areas of the US and we are about to see what happens with an FDA regulation that could potentialy destroy all small juice makers, amd even end our ability to get equipment. Funny how this is going on here and the UK despite good studies here on the benefit and phenomenal statistics being generated by the UK government and organizations on its success in reducing cigarette consumption.

Wish us luck we have until august 8 when the comment period closes and our regulations go into review... we shall see if they listen to the people rather than big pharmaceutical companies and fear mongers. I have my doubts they will do the right thing.

You know a government agency has gone power hungry when the refer to themselves without "the" in front of their name, always indicative of a God complex. Lol

Thanks for checking in from the other side of the pond.

I'm from the USA. My city recently banned vaping from all restaurants just like smoking. The news report said it appeared to be healthy and safe. There wasn't much reason as to why they banned it. It's upsetting because vaping has become big in my city. We even have a few really big b&ms solely for vaping with vape lounges and flavor bars. It used to be just smoke shops that you could get an ego and ce4 at.

the reason the governments are trying to regulate it in the UK is they are getting sweet FA profit from it.
and they are loosing money on the tax they get on death sticks.
they are broadcasting on the news they want to take control of it by 2016 to make it safer for people, to ensure we get the right mg mixtures. Also anything above 18mg mixtures will only be available from chemists and rumours of it been via prescription from the doctor.

I have to give props to the owner of my b&m. He was shown in the news saying how ignorance is the only reason that it is banned.

My county (Los Angeles) unanimously banned e-cigs because it'll "attract new smokers" or something, and the many flavors attract children, because everyone knows that adults hate things that taste like fruit or chocolate or whatever.

I actually just looked this up now; fortunately, the few times I've vaped in public haven't been met with any hostility at all!

Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
I'm hoping that it catches on faster than they can ban it. The power of the collective smokers' dollar will be the ultimate decider. With each smoker realizing the benefits of vaping over the other horrendously difficult to beat habit comes another mouthpiece for information to spread from.

We're seeing vaping in the wild FAR more often than even just a year ago.

It's a race, I think. Our best course is to keep moving forward and introducing new people to the effectiveness of vaping to quitting.

Yeah, I live in Vista too.

I strongly suggest you don't read this, because it will piss you off...
Del Mar bans e-cigarettes - Del Mar Times | Del Mar Times

“We’re just really excited about you extending the language or description of tobacco products to include e-cigarettes and vape pens,” said Judi Strang, executive director of San Dieguito Alliance for Drug Free Youth. “You’re part of a vanguard of cities.”
Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Poway, Solana Beach and Vista have also passed similar regulations. El Cajon, La Mesa, Lemon Grove and San Diego are currently developing new regulations or policies.

I know that La Mesa has since banned them as well.

While the government is in the process of creating more unjust laws, the vape industry is booming in St. Louis. Just a year ago, I was one of very few people who owned an e-cig, especially one which wasn't a cig-a-like. Now I see about an equal number of vapers and smokers, spread out amongst all age groups. In that same year, 15+ vape shops popped up within a 30 mile radius. Vaping is a train, and no amount of regulations can stop it now.
