Polaroid, if you do not care to vape, that is your business, just like it is my business to vape. You need to let this go! I have no respect, or confidence in the fda whatsoever. After all, that is the same orginization that approved chantix. Chantix was not for everyone either. Just watch the news, the fda cannot keep up with peanuts, let alone anything else. But when there is a death, they give the impression that everything is under control. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but it is just fine for me.

For me (not directed at you Polaroid in any way), I am not at all concerned about the use of PG as the FDA already apporved it as the media used in the NRT nicotine inhaler.
Hi Sun. Did you mean nebulizers, rather than the inhaler? I'm not aware of or finding info on PG being in the inhaler... for instance:

Nicotrol Official FDA information, side effects and uses.
Nicotine is the active ingredient; inactive components of the product are menthol and a porous plug which are pharmacologically inactive.

I understand everyone's concern about the FDA not approving the e-cigarette and I was very skeptical at first also. I purchased the NJOY e-cigarette three months ago and started off with high cartridges....I am now on my second week of using lows!! Even though they say this product is not a "quit smoking" product.....it is! Im proof, I just worked my way down to using lows. It was easy because when you start you may puff a lot on the cigarette but overall you are smoking way less than you would because your not smoking a full cigarette like you would have. A few puffs from the e-cig is EQUAL TO A WHOLE REGULAR CIGARETTE. And it feels like it too. Within two weeks I felt sooo much better health wise. About a month ago I ran out of my cartridges and was about 6 hours without....during the six hours I was desperate and purchased a pack of regular cigarettes....WELL I ALMOST DIED! I could only smoke about a third of it and I HAD TO put it out. It hit my lungs like a brick and made me feel sick! That was the end of that! Im tellling you the truth, I have been a smoker for twenty years and was up to a little over a pack a day.....AND I CAN NO LONGER GO BACK TO SMOKING, I actually despise it! I am looking forward switching to "blanks" now and will do it by switching back and forth from lows to blanks and then eventually all blanks and by then I should be done with the product. I find myself now going a few hours without e-cig and then realizing OMG! I HAVE'NT EVEN THOUGHT OF USING IT! You know what that means right? That means I am mentally and physically done with the addicting factors of nicotine..at least I am almost there! If you are undecided about this product, buy it anyway...he for the money arent you worth trying? About the FDA...hey look at what they are selling us in regular cigarettes? Are they approved by the FDA? THEY ARE KILLING PEOPLE EVERY DAY SO THE FDA CAN KISS MY @&*%!!!! I feel so much better, I could run a mile right now without being slightly winded....does that sound like the e-cig is hurting me in anyway? Please first try it for yourself...dont listen to others negative stories...like anything, there are always the few that have side effects, but for the majority of the population, this product works!

Polaroid, I'm a newbie or a going to be newbie. I say that because I have not received my 901 yet, and I am anxiously awaiting it. I question if you were ever a smoker. You started this post off saying you were a smoker you started vaping to help you quit. In another thread you said we all needed to just quit smoking. Why would you have made that remark if you were a smoker and you needed to find some way to help you quit. Any smoker will tell you they had some type of reaction to smoking in their past. Changing brands, long nights out and over smoking.(slight nicotine poisoning )sore throats, coughing, so on and so on. If you were a smoker you have had reactions like these and that did not make you give up smoking. you have one bad reaction, that you don't even know is due to vaping and you are condemning it. Something does not add up here. I know when I start vaping I might have some reactions that I'm not use to, but I am not going to give up. because the alternative will be go back to smoking tobacco. That is not an option. vaping does not add anything different to the equation but it does remove a lot of toxins that tobacco smoking adds. Nicotine is nicotine. now if you have never smoked and you just took up vaping to be cool then yes you could very well be having those reactions due to the fact you would be adding nicotine to your body and is not use to it. I'm going to get off my soapbox now. I just felt that a true smoker would not have given up so easily to go back to smoking if you truly wanted to quit and try to gain some your health back.

you know I thought this guy was just a troll with no life yanking some peoples chain but after reading his posts I believe he really is this stupid.

I mean who in the hell has a problem with something and thousands of others don't and all of a sudden he is an expert on the matter and claims he knows for sure it is worse than cigarettes? This idiot could be getting sick or allergic to the juice (or just eating paint chips) and he knows for sure that ecigs are carcinogens.

Sometimes it's nice to be educated about life by a 21 year old, with the literacy of an 8 year old, and the debating skills to match.

It reminds me how lucky I am to be older and wiser, and glad that I have the ability to LEARN and make reasoned decisions. Also that I can spell too.

Plus as a bonus, when I meet those people that told me I was the worlds biggest ..... when I was 21. I can now prove that I wasn't.

As was said above, there is a village somewhere missing it's Idiot. Please go back there ?!

As long as I can vape, I will never ever touch something that is certain to be doing me harm. I think vaping can be made safer and I would like it to be FDA approved but I have some common sense as well telling me it is better than smoking analogs. I am even one with some side effects I am trying to figure out, still worth it! VP next pay check here I come! LOL

The trolls are getting more clever - this one joined a while ago - posed - and now the evil comes out....

He DIDN'T get whatever it was he was after - whatever it was? Thus the anger... the "hope you enjoy your cancers" line, the "just quit" line.

This, more than anything, convinced me that this was someone trying to get a story out by pretending to be a smoker....when in actuallity just one more, rabidly angry anti-smoker trying to shove their agenda down our throats.

Note that our OP hasn't been back to defend himself for several pages of this post....

I wouldn't suggest banning him, though.... Just education for the genuine members of the forum to NOT entertain him when he does post his poison - and the notification to the mods when he does to delete the threads.

Hello everyone,

It's sad but it is true. At least for me. I bought a Njoy NPRO last saturday because I really wanted to quit smoking. The first few days I really liked it. I had not smoked an analog since saturday and I was very happy until yesterday.

Before I went to bed last time I felt my throath as if it was tight and a certain discomfort right below my throat, as if it was pulsing. Now this morning I didn't even go to class because I felt extremely tired and coughing all the time (I'm a 21 year-old college student).

I was smoking regular strengh cartridges that had been purchased from NJOY.

This is just not good for me. I have spent aprroximetely $90 on a product that is certainly doing harm to me.

I have never had any of these symptons when I stopped smoking for a week or more. So my conclusion is that the only thing that could be hurting my throath and lungs is the e-cig.

I advise everyone one to stop. I know there will be people saying that it is healthier than cigarrets and etc. It may be, but IT MAY BE NOT. There are no sufficient tests to say that this is safe. That is one reason why the FDA has not approven the product, because IT HAS NOT BEEN TESTED.

There might several things hidden in the vapor and little you guys know. So please, I know that there we are addicted to nicotine, but just don't put something in your lungs that might cause you harm. At least the side effects of cigarrets are know.

The government and the FDA are not my dad nor are they my mom. You are quite the representative of a Statist droid.

You have a future in government.

Stop acting like little children and grow up and FACE THE FACTS. The FDA is created to regulate food and drugs. They need way more than a petition to approve something. THEY NEED SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCES that these products are actually safe. And please, don't show those amateur toxicology tests from New Zealand because they are BS and not reliable.

I definitely want to quit, but my days of vaping are over.

You left out the one other thing the FDA needs, the most important one. That is to know which lobbyist group is donating the most money to the most senators who in turn are fighting against or in favor of a product. The FDA has approved countless dozens of products that ended up killing people. Product safety is not their sharpest knife, nor do they even really care.

Think using logic for a second. Cigarettes are a nicotine delivery device just like an e-cig. It is a well known and documented fact that they are dangerous to the person smoking them and in all likelihood, it will result in their early demise/death. Yet, they are legal, they can be imported, they contain hundreds of dangerous chemicals, they are highly addictive and DESIGNED to be that way, they aren’t marketed for any real purpose, they can be made in China and they can also be taxed to hell and back. The main difference in e-cigs and real cigs from the governments point of view is that the extremely wealthy and lobbyist laden tobacco companies want cigarettes on the shelves and they want e-cigs removed. They see the huge attraction to the e-cig and it scares them to death because it WILL eventually lead to THEIR early demise.
Call me crazy if you like, but this isn't about 100 mpg carburetors that never existed, this is how it really works in the US government. The FDA is using technicalities. Anyone with half a brain can see they apply the rules selectively… how they select is the hidden secret. Money and power influence. It’s always been like that and I doubt we will ever see it change.

Links are not related to e-cig stuff, but if you read closely, you can easily see how the FDA is pretty much funded by new product applications and heavily influenced by government officials who are in large part, lobbyists themselves. Simply follow the money

I’ll slow it up a bit, some googling on your own will scare you enough. We will, in all likelihood, lose our e-cigs and never see them again in the US.

And finally, if I may add... I do think you need to quit vaping and go back to cigarettes. You are more afraid of an unknown than you are of the obvious and proven danger before you. Not that I'm trying to knock you, you are just obviously uncomfortable not knowing. I'm convinced vaping instead of smoking is a positive move for me based on how I feel, so I think I will stay here with the children and keep vaping for as long as I am allowed to. After they ban it, I'll still figure out a way to get the stuff from the Ukraine or something.

Even if they are banned in the U.S. it won't stop the influx. I can't tell you how many cartons of analogs that I purchased from oversees suppliers and had mailed to me even though they were "banned" because of lack of tax stamps. While I agree that any U.S. based suppliers may be S.O.L. you will still be able to get supplies direct from China. Just check how many Canadians still get ecigs even with them being "banned"
