Vaping isn't exciting anymore

It used to be exciting thinking about all the new stuff out there, with the buzz you get opening a new box and figuring out how to work it. Like vaping would get better and better. Now I've got gear I like and know how to operate. There might be something out there I would enjoy slightly more but I can't be bothered to go looking for it. Occasionally doing wicks and coils seems like a chore, but I'm retired with plenty of time and mostly I enjoy doing it.

So it's sort of not exciting but still fun. That tends to happen with any hobby. But vaping is a little different because it's not just done for fun, it has an important purpose so even if it became just a chore I would still do it.

Occasionally? It got real old (coil/wicking) on me fast. 3 Sandstorms, 4 Nanos, 4 Paranormals, 6 Primo minis, 3 Primo mini SEs (still unopened, but great price, great deeming scare), G-Priv 2 Lux, H-Priv 2, 4 various clone KF V5, 3 various clone KF Prime, 8 Sirene V2 (many unopened, great price), 3 Beserkers (1 unopened), 1 Nautilus, 4 Nautilis clones, 1 Ulton Tiafun GT IV (think fine Cuban cigar) and a EVOD Pro in a pear tree.

Count myself fortunate I have no draw towards Dicodes. I have become totally bored, shinyitis no more. Next juice mix one in rotation will be nic free to see how much I really care. I now dislike cigarettes, 42 years 3 to 4 packs a day, I'll never smoke again.

Has anyone of you gotten bored from vaping yet? The excitement of buying new fancy stuff and trying flavors etc has been long gone for me.

Exciting? Nope. Enjoyable? Oh hell yeah. All my stuff if from 4 or 5 years ago and I've long ago settled into one flavor I love even if I do tweak it from time to time.

but was smoking exciting?

Yeah. Especially at family events when I would practice flicking butts into grandmas beer can and then running away from her as she chased me with a butchers knife. She had a lot of moxy but not much speed what with the gout and all.

LOL .. yeah smoking is quite subjective just like vaping is …. I know scores of folks who LOVE smoking and don't plan on quitting (until it kills them) … I used to LOVE smoking and I would still be smoking to this very day if I didn't have that nagging thought in the back of my mind that told me I will get lung cancer if I keep smoking...

I would not exactly call smoking "exciting" but there must be something to it otherwise I wouldn't have smoked for 40 years along with loads of other people … Aside from the addiction, many folks find smoking pleasurable (same with vaping) ….

I think you are probably dead on here. While I am extremely grateful I didn’t come into vaping that far back I read the older threads and envy the comaraderie you all shared breaking new ground.

A few years back, Vendors would spend their evenings on their own ECF threads chatting with their customers. Maybe that still happens, and I am just too set in my ways with my dinosaur gear. But there were little communities within the vaping community, such as Provarinati and the Allusion crowd.

Have you ever tried Vaping whilst walking a tightrope across the Grand Canyon?

Just standing on the clear platform on the Grand Canyon Skywalk gave me the willies! There were young people shinnying over the side and getting their picture taken with their head just above the edge. I was old enough to realize that an 800' drop was a high loss, no gain activity.

I won't stand and look over the edge on anything higher than 3 stories. Above that, I won't look over the edge unless I'm laying flat on my stomach. That way I don't have to worry about worn out railings, being hypnotized and leaning too far, or anyone giving me a shove.

When I was a kid my dad wouldn't spend the money for an antenna rotater. He kept an aluminum extension ladder on the back patio and I'd climb it to loosen the lock nut on the antenna and rotate it. My sister would stand at the window and tell me when the picture was good! It's a wonder I never slipped off the roof onto the concrete patio! These days I'm much more concerned about safety. I pay people to do stuff that requires that sort of work!

You can bring back the excitement by converting smokers. A lot of them just don't know much about vaping other than what they have seen or heard in the media. I find that I get a kick from showing old stuff to new people. And you're really helping them in the long run.

When I was a kid, no problem!

We used to climb my aunt's pecan tree, walk the huge lower branch to the edge of her garage, then take turns jumping off the other side into a field with a long, thin concrete curb running alongside (right where you would normally land). Luckily, we always managed to miss the concrete!

When I was really little, I loved to climb trees. I just wasn't very good about getting back down! I have a picture somewhere showing me stuck up a tree when I was about 5 or 6 years old. (Apparently my parents thought it was funny enough to take a picture instead of just helping me down.)

hm... bored? Yes and No.. more a kind of tired.

Startet back in 2012. Tanks, tubes first coils. Then drilling ACF and Chimneys until i ended up with squonker, rdas and direct lung. After 2 years squonking and "clouds bro - clouds" i decided to reduce back to MTL. This is where i am now. Problem is that i had to start all over again. Spend the last 3-4 month enough money with the new fancy stuff and searched MTL capable rdas, tanks and pods. Drove me mad i have to say. One one to little vape or to strict the other to open and now flavour. Took me 3 weeks to mix my DIY liquids in the right way.

I thought going back to MTL would be easy. No it is not! Still getting headaches about my vape stuff. Place and cancel orders.. reorder, try..

I do really hope that this will soon come to an end. I am tired..
