Has anyone of you gotten bored from vaping yet? The excitement of buying new fancy stuff and trying flavors etc has been long gone for me.
Tsss.... learn some tricks to impress the ladies. Nothing beats a flexing bedroom pose combined with a slowly moving erotic vapor tornado climbing up from your mouth to your nose...

Im not sure if vaping ever excited me. I was excited to be able to stop smoking after 42 years. I do enjoy flavors though and unflavored would be boring to me.
42yrs for me also.
Any excitement I have experienced from vaping stemmed from trepidation and uncertainty more than feelings of "yeehaa giddyup yahoo "
I was disappointed when I couldn't use flavors as much anymore but after awhile of vaping flavorless flavours became a bit samey and kinda yuck for me. I'm actually quite glad flavours aren't really a part of my vape habit and for a few different reasons.

I guess the reasons for vaping are all over the place, but many of us didn't really want to quit smoking. We used smoking as a relaxation tool and it became an addictive hobby that we knew would be hard to quit. Even knowing that it would/could shorten our lives we continued smoking because that was easier than going the cold turkey route.

Vaping for me was a breath of fresh air that turned a tobacco addiction into a more controllable and safer activity. I don't worry about vaping affecting my health or shortening my life. The 4000 chemicals in cigarette smoke are distilled out and the important aspects are retained. I get my nic and I get to inhale and exhale vapor that my brain accepts as a "smoke substitute". It's all good.

Is vaping supposed to be exciting?

Maybe it is for a 15 year old kid trying their friend's Juul, but not me.

That's not why I began vaping at least.

I'd been smoking the same kind of cigs for decades, that certainly wasn't exciting. I was very excited when I finally quit though and moved to vaping.

I don't want to spend too much time getting excited by vaping. It's now a routine for me, I don't think too much about it and that's how I like things.

I'm happy with my hardware and I'm happy with my juice. When I'm running low on something, I order more. It took a while, but I finally have found what I like, so I'm not searching or looking for the "newest best thing" anymore. When and if my current mod breaks, I'll get a new one at that time.

I'm pretty sure that my wife is still super excited about me not stinking up the house with nasty tobacco smoke. And while I might not be excited, my body is probably excited and thanks me for vaping.

Get a backup. Now :)

I don't keep backups, because I have been tested before, and I managed without one.

About 6 months ago my last mod was becoming problematic and the tank wasn't firing anymore, so I simply ordered a new mod with tank and about 5 days later it arrived.

I managed to survive for 5 days without vaping, and I actually think that's a good thing, because it proved that I wasn't as addicted to the Nic as I was before.

If my current mod were to break tomorrow, I'll do the same thing. Go a few days without vaping while I wait for the newest mod to come in the mail.

I'm excited about the diet and exercise stuff I'm doing today that would never have happened without switching to vaping. Then, for the last 3 of the 4 years I've been vaping I've used one style of mod and one rda exclusively, stockpiled those two and tried to ignore the new things coming to market. A few weeks ago I noticed an RTA for MTL that checked the boxes for me and suddenly I have a second atomizer I enjoy. That was a little bit exciting. A few days ago I got 2 pods, Aspire AIO and the Origin. The AIO finally makes it practical to have a backup for out and about. The Origin let's me learn about Replay and it's a conversation peice.

I'm excited for the possibility of ending the Tobacco Age and try to help with that. I'm especially excited about the better pods. They are far better accepted by newbies which should mean more smokers switching to vaping. Right now the pods are outragiously over priced compared to cost of production. When the pricing excesses are reduced by competition trying vaping will get really easy. More and more vapers are the best protection for the rest of us.

It's cool that you can do that. But not everyone can. If all vape-stuff disappeared from the face of the earth while I was sleeping tonight, I fear I'd be at the local Stop & Rob buying smokes before noon tomorrow. Hence I have plenty of back-ups.

After almost 10 years, you bet your axx vaping still excites me. The first thing is the over $4K I save every year, then how much better I feel healthwise. My house, cars, clothes, and I don't stink of stale tobacco. Yes the thrill of having to have the newest and latest device has faded. I may get one new device a year now and I like to play around with DIY, flavoring is the largest expense in my vaping budget. But what really excites me is that, I feel if I had continued on lighting up, I may not have been alive to write this post today, so how much more excitement can an old guy take, lol.

I started vaping in 2014 after 34 years of the nasties and was doing really well until i had a year long blip 16-2017 but back to the vaping for good now. I've never had too much of the shinyitus thing and don't think I could ever spend some of these ridiculous prices that some of these high end mods go for....but I do still buy new stuff and get quite a buzz just not all the time...and it has to be at a good price :)

I think one of the great things about vaping is that you can put a little bit of effort into doing it which really helps break the old smoking habits and gives you something to aim for ...if that makes sense....Congrats to the others who have made it for ages longer than me :D

If something happened and vaping stuff became unavailable I have this horrible feeling that I would smoke again....that's exciting in a negative kind of way

It's been a year and a half for me, and vaping is still exciting. Not in that 'OMG all the new things!" kind of way. I buy less than I used to but I do buy stuff.

My Rose V3 atomizer just showed up in my mailbox. I'm excited to try it. With that said, I do still have that touch of wonderment like, what will this DIY mix end up like? What will this new thing do?

Without a bit of new every now and again, I sort of get meh etc. I still love vaping, it just becomes more routine, like fill that atomizer, fix that one kind of thing. But, I still am totally excited to be done with cigarettes! Really. So adding some new things every now and again, I am totally fine with. It beats smoking by a country mile.

Seems to me you either accept the "routine" now, or you try some new things and either is your choice I guess.

I don't want vaping to ever get boring and I'm pretty sure it won't. There is always the FDA to entertain me.

And a belated congrats @Rossum ! Thank you for all the wonderful ECF stuff you do!

It's not the vape that excites us; it's the context. I wrote…

…It's nice, especially this time of year, to not be banished to the outdoors for 5-7 minute intervals.

…and not to be treated like a criminal. Yes, freedom.

Addiction, like prejudice and slavery is something we are subjected to.

The opposite of addiction is connection. What we had and which has been horribly suppressed.

Resist dehumanization. Encourage community with our own and all around you.

Good luck and Merry Christmas all. :)

Well, if we're going to go that route, COPD meds and laryngeal cancer scares were very, very exciting. Super much so.

Vaping? Quite boring. I mean, I've had the odd dry hit or two, and flavors I didn't like.....

I think I kind of get it though, there is something exciting about being part of the forefront of something new and vaping has gone pretty mainstream. I wasn't around for that part, so I can live with it and I like the plethora of options before me, but yeh, maybe it's that.

Or the time I was vacuuming with one hand and holding the cathetor bag in the other near steps and dining room chairs....and the cord of the bag snagged a chair that went flying down the stairs with me chasing after it while the vacuum followed..
Boy was I glad when that cathetor was gone.
