I'm old and that may affect some of my (possibly grumpy) opinions....... and for the record, I do not hide or flaunt my vaping. if wallmat makes me wait in line too long I'll steal a vape or two, but generally if it's a non smoking place I don't vape (I am capable of going an hour without a cig or vape.)
I figure that my rights end where another persons rights start. I'ts just a matter of common courtesy.
I don't feel that way anymore since smokers started getting persecuted and treated like trashy second class citizens. I don't like screaming, smelly, undisciplined kids, but parents think it's ok to invade my rights. I don't like perfumes, but people think it's ok to invade my rights. etc, etc, etc..... in fact that saying seems to come from antz.......
Yup , considerate people are considerate people , others think it's their God given right to force their views and vapor on all .
the antz are forcing their views on me
Very well said. It expresses my feelings pretty darn well. Not to be an extremist, to have basic courtesy and respect, but not to cater to other people's irrational phobias while making myself into a second class citizen. That's the way I feel it should be !!
it seems like it is only smokers/vapors who are concerned about being courteous. one of the things I miss about the "good old days" - people were courteous, regardless of your activities. the antz are the least courteous people I know.
I always ask in restaurants, bars, etc. If told no, I'm very polite, put it away and never return. No fuss, no muss.
Not to argue but this is what i don't get , you'd never return , you're punishing that establishment for trying to make "everyones" dining experience enjoyable . What if 1/2 the place was vaping and clouds were forming while you were trying to eat etc. Surely it wouldn't hurt to pop in the john or wherever for a quick vape .
I think if I want to not give my business to a place that doesn't agree with my beliefs, etc, that is absolutely my right. and you should stand up for your rights and beliefs!
I refuse to buy any Scott (garden products) items because last I heard even their employee's familys can't smoke at home. really? lost my business. I refuse to shop at lowes because they ban smoking in the parking lot (among other things I don't like about them). really? lost my business....
