20140519_164815.jpg20140519_164850.jpg20140519_164728.jpgI just got my Shark Skin today. Its perfect and fits like a glove. So happy I didn't waste my money on a wrap. It gives it a great comfortable grip. I'm pretty sure it'll be a dust magnet but I can live with that. It makes it more stable when standing upright , its not as wobbly anymore. I wish they had made them available sooner. The only thing that is showing wear on my VS is the fire button and this would have prevented that. The buttons feel even better through the skin.:D All in all solid skin for a solid device.

Exchanged emails with Michele from VS to ask if the warranty covers the firing button, which in my case has a lot of scratches already. She said its not covered but they can replace it for $25. Just an fyi for someone with a banged up firing button (still works perfectly though) like me who's bothered by how it looks.

I dunno man, I really like how this tiny beast looks like. I also dont want to hide the vinyl piece I placed on one side :) Guess I'll just send it in if it really really bothers me at some point

I kind of like the scuffs and scratches it picks up. Gives it that pocket worn look, like an old Zippo!

I have to say I was hesitant in spending $170 on a mod, it was my most expensive to date (though I do have an XPV on order!) But I love the small but mighty VS. I generally have it at about 10 watts, and can chain vape all night on it.

I finally got my VS DNA, Ordered: 04/10/2014, Received: 05/28/2014.

Two weeks not knowing where my Money Transfer was, couldn't use credit card on their website, didn't accept Canadian cards.

Four weeks in lockup, seized by Canada Customs but they eventually had to release it as it was only an electronic device and contained no nicotine.

The actual cost of my VaporShark DNA when I finally had it in my hands with all the extra costs incurred, US$245 (give or take a few cents here or there, exchange rates change..)

What a pain in the ahss..., but at least I got it.

As someone following your plight from the sidelines Im so relieved for you Griff. Stoked it worked out. I guess you need to try to forget about the money aspect and just know that if it works for you for years to come and it was an enjoyable device then I would say its worth that amount even knowing the mark up from what we pay here in the states. Its just one of those unfortunate things I guess.

FYI: I contacted VaporShark, wanting them to work with me in some way so that I could purchase a Shark Skin for my new unit. I would have ordered one with my DNA at the time but they weren't available when I ordered mine. After a few emails back and forth they indicated that they've repaired or fixed creditcard billing for international customers.

I was indeed able to order from the website this time with my credit card, though paying 23 dollars shipping for a 7 dollar item is kind of a p!ss off. I ordered two skins and drip tips but the cost still wasn't as much of the cost of shipping.. LOL... Anyway

All who posted thank you for your advice. Made it an easy descion to purchase this tic tac box with a kick! Love this device! Thought I would return the favor and post some pics with the black shark skin.

I got the shark skin after seeing in this thread that they where available. While trying to get it added to my order Michelle informed me that my DNA30 was shipping over the phone! Was a nice suprise! She valiantly tired but didnt manage to get the shark skin to ship with my vaporshark. It didn't matter despite shipping the next day the holiday weekend allowed USPS to take a blazing week and a day to deliver them both! (They should change thier name back to the pony express!)

The shark skin adds at least a few mm to the width! I like it a lot! My only complaint is if your Atomic overflows from a few extra drops it goes right down the inside of the skin. This makes the skin slide off way to easily if you have a tight dripper like my Patroit and you try to take the top cap off! Not such a big deal with the atomic as it easy to get the cap off!

Some pictures to show how some toppers look with the skin.

Well I can't believe how delicate the finish is on the fire button. I've had it like a week now and have only used it for two or three full days, only my fingers have touched the button. I've not dropped it, it's not tipped over. I've been very careful waiting for my Shark Skin to arrive (should be tomorrow) and already the button is showing signs of being scuffed up with only my fingers touching the button (don't have calluses or rough skin, nothing like that). I guess this is just a comment, based on other people talking about their buttons getting scratched up while reading this thread..

Thanks for this information...that really isn't expected to happen on something that's costing this much...the Fire button has gotta be up to a brutal job imho...I was on the fence but maybe I'll wait for the next revision. Too bad cause I was really liking this...was on the fence regarding the non user replaceable battery and the screen on the bottom, too though. Also, 1100mahs?...possibly too small for me.

Anyhow, I'm waiting for the hana mod dna30 clone so, I should be set on the dna30 thing....maybe....probably not.
