Is the one in the vid a v2 cause I believe they're shipping the v2 now. I'm gonna get 1 after I save the funds. I had one of the first black Provari"s and I treated it with kid gloves, paint peeled/chipped off around the top. Easy fix, jwrap and new v2 board. Looks real pretty and it still functions perfectly :):vapor:

Hi buddies, I would buy it, but a lot of money and so I have many doubts.
Is not it disturbing that the black paint is peeling and is an ugly mod?
I have read problems with the button on some people. Is this common?

I do not know what to do ...

The paint peeling one shown in the video was made back in November 2013. I think Vapor Shark changed several things around the first of year to address all of the pervious concerns. I purchased the VS DNA at the beginning of May and it has been thrown into the truck, carried in my pocket with keys and loose change, and it has held up extremely well.

I've read one complaint about a button on the Vapor Sharks and the company seems to take care of them quickly.

You say a lot of money - how much is that in terms on what you spent on tobacco? For me it was less than a months worth of cigarette money, and that money would have just gone up in smoke!

I'd like to agree, but I think it's time to stop price/cost comparisons to analogs. Cigarettes aren't exactly priced reasonably themselves.

From an electronics manufacturing standpoint it is quite pricey for what it is. Less so compared to similar mods, but ain't chump change, nonetheless.

If they extend the warranty to 1 year, then I'll say it's fairly priced. I mean, they don't even make the boards themselves.

Would love to see a pic when it arrives. That's the exact color combo I'm looking at :D

not sure where j3sus is coming from.. but it almost feels "troll-ish"

Ive had mine a few weeks now. I love it more every day! my black sharkskin should arrive today.. I'm excited about that! mine goes in the pocket, etc. no wear. the only scratch its has now.. is near the 510.. from user error.. the bottom fill screw on my Russian did it, I wasn't paying attention. lesson learned! But I expect it to get beaten some. Its not a museum piece.. its the main player in my ADV!

pricing? people pay 2.. 3.. 4.. 5x clone pricing for "authentic s". this is a Authentic VS rDNA 30. Its reasonable. people pay more.. for mech mods that are simple metal tubes.. but have some fancy engraving...

I couldn't be happier with this purchase, in all honesty! and no.. Im not paid to say that.. Im just a happy customer.

I just ordered mine last night and got my tracking number this morning - gunmetal w/ orange skin (matches my tractor!).

I had debated buying one for some time and finally came to my senses and order it. I have a Hana mini clone from FT, which has been awesome but is currently broken (my fault - dropped it while plugged in and broke USB port). I was leaving town on business in a couple days and knew I would never get a replacement board in time, so I got the cold-water wake up to the need to have a back-up mod. A local dealer sold me his personal cloupor clone, but it autofired and started smoking while I was driving the very next day. Fortunately he was willing to buy it back from me and rebuild it but I was still mod-less.

I checked out some local shops in the state I travelled to, and almost bit on a couple mechs and an overpriced but updated cloupor, but decided that the hassle of the last one was a teachable moment - I like the DNA, I need a backup, and I travel a lot, so I should bite the bullet and buy something authentic.

If I end up liking it as much as I hope to, I may buy a second one to throw in the backpack for doomsday and be done buying mods.

GunMonkeyINTL, why don't you get a rDNA vs DNA. With the rDNA you have 2100mah battery which is field replaceable with a small Philips screwdriver. Additionally you can go with higher mah batteries so the rDNA lasts even longer on a single charge.

I can see wanting a backup DNA, but with a rDNA all you really need for backup is a spare battery.

If I were to buy a backup, I'd want 1 DNA and 1 rDNA. Use the rDNA as my main mod, and when it's battery dies, switch to the DNA while the rDNA is charging.

I understand and respect "budgets" and cost of device concerns for the rDNA. Along with paying for a warranty and the assurance that they will continue to support and fix the device, your also "paying" for what I consider outstanding support based on my story:

On 8/4/2014 I accidentally ordered a Gun Metal Gray. Today I woke up and sent a request for a Black one. Boom, at the same time I got my shipping notice for the color I did not want. Brian in support responded like a hot knife through butter and that means FAST. My Gun Metal had already shipped as per the emails. In our world they were waiting for pick up. He was nice enough and dare I say smart enough to fish out my package from what I assume is a large stack and pull it and cancel my original order. THAT action costs money and is quite rare today. Bingo, faster than my ex-wife left me, /lol I got a charge Card credit notice and of course I placed a new order for a Black rDNA since I'm not in a rush.

great story man! yes, they have always responded fairly quickly, shipped fast, and sent what I ordered. as a company, they seem pretty square! Im in FL, so is VS, but they are Miami and Im Tampa.. about 300 mi. one of these weekends, probably make the road trip down, spend the day on South Beach, and stop at VS!

... Cigarettes aren't exactly priced reasonably themselves.
Move south of the border and you'll find them a lot more reasonably priced. Move south across the border one more time you'll find them even less expensive! Hmmmm, I wonder what the cost of vape gear is in Mexico?

Towards the more serious side (but not quite) -
What is reasonably priced? I don't even want to go to McDonalds any more, get a lot better meal for less at one local Robertos fast food Mexican food places or one of their copycatters to include Albertos, Alibertos, Filibertos, Gualbertos, Adalbertos, Rubertos, Rolbertos, etc...

On the serious side - a good deal is when the seller gets what they think is reasonable and the buyer gets what they thought was worthy of their money.

For you if that includes a 1 year warranty, there are only two AV/AW I know of that have that. A Provari or the soon to be released iPV 50w Box Mod by Pioneer4you.
