Yeah, right. Now get my damn mod built!!! lol

Can't beleive VS didn't have these made already. Hana and Flask already had them and in Phil's video Brandon was using a VS???

Yeah I also ordered a Protovapor XPV DNA 40...it arrives on Monday. So that will ease my Jones while I circle the shark tank...

LOL :) Exactly! Me to! I have removed my "skin" on my VS rDNA30 about 5 times to rotate my vct5 bats. It's NEOPRINE so it stretches ever so slightly. You want a tight fit so the "skin" doesn't flap around /lol I would not worry about it. Just make sure the device is OFF via 5 clicks just to be sure. Should be fine on the 40 from the small size difference.

EDIT: Given my thoughts I would not hold my breath for a new size of the "skin" for the 40. Financially that makes no sense and I'm reasonably sure someone on planet earth who works for VS has already tested the fit for the 40.

:)

One can only hope they did, haha. Took us four pages on this forum to figure out the size...

On a positive note, they are supposedly shipping me a Sony VTC4. Took a lot of back and forth with these people. Still no word about why my device was not sealed and what they are doing about the issues on my device. Oh, VaporShark, I hope you get your stuff together.

Are the prices online the same as in their stores? There's one not too far away from me and I wouldn't mind the drive to pick one up. I guess I could just call them.

Could you post here what comes out of your inquiry?
I will be in the States end of the month and am planing to stop a couple of days in Miami on my way back... just to pick up a VS rDNA :p

We still don't know the exact size.

The facebook page still has the picture with the 1.3" depth. 2 hours ago someone asked if that was the correct dimensions and VS responded, YES
The other photo on there web page was changed to .9" which is thinner than what the 30 is advertised as.
If you ask VS how thick it is, they respond back about 3mm thicker.
The height and width have 2 decimal places the depth only one???

I am beginning to think that they don't have one to measure and are waiting for the shipment to arrive.

I called the NJ store and they said the pricing in the store is the same as the website. They said they should start getting the rDNA 40 when it starts shipping at the end of the month.

I wonder if they will continue to make the 30 after the 40 is released...don't care much for the wireless charging or the extra 10 watts...

Really that's one of the lower selling points for me.

That temperature management is revolutionary. Never taste a burnt wick again.

Of course there are improvements with the new one, but depends on one's usage...
Doesn't the temp management only work with a certain wire...?
I am relatively new to vaping, and pretty much just use nautilus bvc on the VS...

Yeah it only works with nickel wire.

But I mean, your next upgrade (in all likelihood) will be to a RTA. In which case you'd definitely get use out of the temp management settings. If you already recently dropped ~200 on a VS device, I probably wouldn't buy the new DNA40 either. But as someone with a bunch of regulated boxes, none of which have this awesome temp management feature,

I want it. I want it bad.

Yes but it still works with your current setup. Your VS can't step down the voltage so you're vaping at a minimum of 4v. If (when) you start using rebuildables, you'll want the temp features so use Ni200 instead of Kanthal A1 wire.

Meh....all I really care about re: size is that the skin fits...this may just be that one universal condition where size does not actually matter....hehehe

(sent from Mars, it's not as red as I imagined.)

According to Evolv, there will be replacement coils for clearomizers that will work with temp control.

So, the temperature control, what is the big deal? I guess I am not understanding it. Do we not want the coil/coils to heat up to produce vapor? Also, are there any devices now that require nickel wire coils? I have not researched it just want an easy answer.

If you heat liquid way past its boiling point, it degrades and has bad chemical reactions...Inhaling burnt wicking is nasty. Temperature control allows us to get lots of clouds and not scorch the hell out of the liquid or the wicking.

There was a comment a month or so ago in the Aspire Mini BVC thread noting that Aspire had posted on FB (not on FB myself) new low ohm coils were in the making. No mention if it was silver or kanthal though. I've looked through Aspire's site and couldn't find a mention. Should be interesting.
