Damn. I ordered a rDNA 30 on 10/10 for $189.00....It is still "processing" and hasn't shipped yet. I see on the VS website that the price has dropped to $169.00. This ticks me off...I'd be alright with it if it had already shipped, but I'm still waiting for it to ship and the price has dropped $20.00.

:glare:

I ordered the rDNA 30 on 10/10 and turned around and ordered a dna 30 on 10/15 for $119.00. Both have shipped...the rDNA 30 shipped priority mail and will be here Monday. The DNA 30 shipped at the same time and shipped 1st class mail and is scheduled to be here Tuesday.

I thought about pre-ordering a DNA 40 but figured I'll wait a little while and see what folks impressions are of them. I also ordered an eleaf istick that is showing up today. It is for my girlfriend to try out...she still smokes the analogs. If she likes it I'll probably let her have the little DNA 30. I think using these with an aspire nautilus mini or something similar will be easy enough to get her started.

She has been reluctant because she sees me wrapping coils and using rebulidable stuff. The carto tanks were too involved for her...a simple clearomizer might do the trick.

sweet!

Yes, a nautilus mini would be best.. thats what my wife uses, happily. I keep her filled and shes good to go. I wanted to get her a eLeaf, but she like a tube look, so I bought her a itaste V V for the mini, and shes gtg.

Just the same, Im interested in a iStick for the additional Nautiluses I carry, I like to have a few flavors on hand. I keep my best flavor machine, the Erlkonigin, on my VS, now. I would go the original DNA 30 LiPo way too for these nautilus.. but.. if the iStick serves the same purpose, albeit slightly larger, but significantly cheaper, then, ya, thats the path.

I think that is people's hang up is that they say it's safe... So do drug companies about their drugs until it starts killing people... To be fair tho we have nickel in our blood all the time and it doesn't seem that nickel is transferred to the vape as people with nickel sensitivity can use it

I don't have any real concrete evidence, however I just tend to think that the nicotine in the juice won't be acidic enough to degrade the wire and that we shouldn't get anywhere near high enough temperatures to degrade it (especially with the temp limiting of the chip). I could be completely wrong, but that's my best guess...

Once again, concrete evidence is the only way

Unfortunately there isn't any concrete evidence, in any of this really. For a chance at no burnt wick/burnt taste, I'm gonna test it out...

Edit: I don't really care either way about the temp limiting, but I do think it will be fun to play with. I have a ton of kanthal that I don't intend to just throw away. I just really wanted the reverse battery protection and down-step ability... Anything else is a bonus!

Agreed about the edit those two things are a huge payoff

I sent them an email about the same thing yesterday because I was concerned that the Shark Skin I ordered wouldn't work. They told me it would fit but snugly. They also said that I would need to cancel my entire order and reorder if I wanted the Shark Skin specifically for the 40.

I don't see any way that the rDNA40 would be 1.3" but I do wonder if it is a smidge bigger if it is going to have its own Shark Skin? I also don't see a Shark Skin on their site that is specifically for the rDNA40. I'm hopelessly confused.

When I talked to them on the phone they told me they were not going to have a skin specifically for the 40 cause their current skins fit both.

If you heat liquid way past its boiling point, it degrades and has bad chemical reactions...Inhaling burnt wicking is nasty. Temperature control allows us to get lots of clouds and not scorch the hell out of the liquid or the wicking.

Thanks Bass. I do not need a 40watt device but I now want one. I wish they made it without the internal wireless charging. The size is why I bought the rDNA, either way, I will wait to see what those that purchased say about any size difference when they arrive.

How often do you change 'em?

LOL...well we shall see. I got a Black, Blue and Purple...could be with wardrobe...could be with moods. You know how unpredictable we are. But this is my first rDNA, not sure how hard they are to change. They are rubber after all. Could be a PITA, in which case the answer would be...not all that often.

XPV arrives Monday...no skins to think about there....very excited!

It is negligible...the same skins from the 30 fit the 40...
