Knowing now that the shark skin for the rDNA30 will fit the 40 I ordered two. Unfortunately I also had to order several other things to get the free shipping. When did they stop doing free shipping?!
I ordered my vaporshark DNA30 before the shark skins were available for it and was able to order one after they were released and there was no shipping. That was June, what happened? You'd think with all the bad customer service nonsense being brought up in forums and on social media that they'd not cut back on something like this. So in order to get free shipping I went ahead and ordered a few things I knew I'd be buying anyway(which might be why they do it this way now, sneaky .......s). I added a wireless charger for my little 30, and a few vtc4's to bring me over 50$. It'll be interesting to see if I get the vtc4 that I ordered or whatever new battery they've been shipping with the rDNA.

Shipping was free when I ordered mine also, all orders over 50$ get free shipping. It used to be that all orders received free shipping, regardless of the total$. Which made it a non issue that they tend to release accessories for their devices after they've released the devices.
Example, I ordered a dna30(the little guy) when they came out. A few weeks later, but before my order of the vs dna30 had shipped, they announced and released the shark skins. So I called them to inquire about adding the sharkskin to my order and was told to just place a new order. No big deal because shipping was free.
This time I ordered, but there was no word yet about if the rDNA skins would fit the 40 with it's added width. Once they clarified that it did I called to add some to my order, but was told they couldn't do that. If I wanted to save on shipping I'd have to cancel the first order, and place a new one with the skin added to it. Which would then also put me back of the line of orders to be shipped, instead of near the front since I ordered early.
Why did their free shipping go away? If they're going to do it like this with a shipping charge under a certain amount, then maybe they should have added the skin to a drop down menu like they did with the charger.
It's the little things that get them negative exposure on forums and social media. This is just another. The products are awesome, I love mine, but little things like this will make me choose someone else next time.

I was pretty sure that over $50 was free shipping...yeah it is on the bottom of the home page.
Yes, but they used to ship everything for free. Regardless of the total of the order. I bought a single sharkskin in June, free shipping.
Pre-ordered Tuesday night. Really hope that will put me in the first batch to go out on the 28th! If it ships then I should receive it before my birthday! Also, I really hope I get a good one! Sounds like they've had some QC issues. However, the rDNA is everything I've been looking for in a mod! I was about to pull the trigger on shark week, but knew the new evolv chip would be coming soon. Glad I waited, and can't wait to get it FINALLY! Already ordered some Ni200 and Koga!
nichrome is available from many B&M and online vape outlets. and I'm fairly confident, nichrome is at least as safe as kanthal. Evolv's focus is safety. I just can't imagine they would make this move without some research into the safety.
still loving and using my rDNA 30, every day. its my absolute go to mod. I haven't yet ordered a DNA 40.. but I'm wanting it badly. despite the sketchy customer service many have had, I was lucky, had great CS, and the product has exceeded expectations. when Im ready to purchase a DNA 40, it will be a VS

What tank is that?
This link is in fact Nickel 200 aka Ni200. Trust me inspite of the description since this Nickel wire does have resistence and the best price starts at 100 feet. Great service and pricing plus free shipping:

Although I do not have my DNA40 device yet (grrrr soon!) I suggest you use this calculator and start with 30 gauge. My first ball park build will be:

All in a dripper till I nail it. Scientific study's for Vapers have yet to be completed. Dr. F in my sig /lol will answer the safety question as I'm unaware of any completed scientific studys using Ni200. Some vapers have reported "tasting" the Nickel in a vape but I can't quantify it with percents or numbers. I'm happy to be your ginnie pig /lol

I ordered mine 10/14 at noon central time... Mine will probably arrive 11/1 or at least I hope bc that's my bday !

Not sure of health implications, but Evolv an Pbusardo say it's ok. Im just going to play around with it at first but still mainly use kanthal. I get all my wire from temco industrial power. I got 100ft of ni200 for $8 and free shipping...
I think that is people's hang up is that they say it's safe... So do drug companies about their drugs until it starts killing people... To be fair tho we have nickel in our blood all the time and it doesn't seem that nickel is transferred to the vape as people with nickel sensitivity can use it
