Thanks Bass. I do not need a 40watt device but I now want one. I wish they made it without the internal wireless charging. The size is why I bought the rDNA, either way, I will wait to see what those that purchased say about any size difference when they arrive.

The bump in watts to 40 is the least attractive feature of the new dna 40 for me.

Don't discount the wireless charging. I didn't really think much of it either as I've seen the first ones from Palm and they didn't work so well and when they did, it was slow. I picked up a Nexus 7 that had built-in wireless charging so I bought a Qi charger. It was so good I bought a wireless coil for my S3 phone. One of the main reasons I got the LG G2 was because it has integrated wireless charging. I have a Tylt Vu charger which is like a cradle and it makes charging some much more convenient.

Here's a pic of the Tylt Vu:

Yeah I read that but do not want to give up my device. Lord knows how long they will have it. I have a few Mech's that will get me buy but I love this little thing.

Meh, I do not really care for the wireless charging. BUT, who knows later down the road...

I can see the wireless being nice for in the car. I need to find a way to run a qi charger to the key center console where I usually set my vape down. I don't like using corded things while driving.

I went with two shark skins for the rDna40., blue and green. I've got two for my little vs dna30 also, orang and black. I didn't think I'd use the colored skins much, I bought the orange originally to use instead of the black occasionally to make it easier to find. I really like the orange though, it breaks up the monotony of colors in my my vape set ups. Everything else is SS or aluminum bronze.

I've seen these (cup holder qi chargers) online. Doesn't look like this one will fit the rDNA, but there might be one out there that does.

$70?!? ouch!

I got this one @ $22

Yeah, it's not cheap. I got it from T-mobile with a discount for just under $50 shipped. Still not cheap but works really well. It has dual coils so you can charge in portrait or landscape. My Nexus 7 only charges in landscape since it wasn't really designed to charge tablets. I just throw my tablet or phone on it and it starts charging. The small pucks are a little tricky with the tablet so this makes it much easier to find the sweet spot.

A wireless "charger" just supplies power to whatever charging circuit is in your phone or your mod. It's up to the charging circuit in your phone or mod to decide when to stop charging 'cause the battery is full. No different than plugging it in, really.

It is different though. There is noticeably more heat produced during wireless charging. I love wireless charging, but I'm concerned what all that extra heat will do to battery longevity.

I guess I'd worry about that too -- if the battery weren't replaceable. ;)

You still don't want to burn through batteries and increase the cost of owning the device. Especially if you really like VTCs, which have seen a marked increase in the cost of obtaining new ones. I really think the technology is cool, but still have my reservations.

You do not need to do wireless charging...it is an option, not a requirement.

I never said it was, but it intrigues me. The convenience of it is cool, although if the extra heat causes it to shorten the life of the battery then that would be something that would need to be considered when getting one. I am trying to decide if I should purchase one or not currently.

Ah...I see...are you deciding on DNA40 overall or specifically the rDNA40?

I have a DNA 30 and a rDNA 30. Not buying another device from them, but have wondered about the pros and cons of the wireless charging. The technology hasn't been adapted by any other ecig manufacture that I know of, so all I have to go on is real users experiences. When someone talks about heat that worries me a bit due to (a) the possibility of reduced life of the battery and (b) the possibility of increased heat to the battery when it is taken off the charger and vaped.
