Thinking about trying one out. Just like the looks of it.
and thats why I got it,and use it. Purely aesthetics! and thus far, minimum to zero sacrifice in the arena I'm normally pretty passionate about; Function before fashion. But in this case, its a fashion thing

Its close enough to my VS functionally, its earned a spot in my ADV rotation. The only annoyance being the 18500 battery, and having to carry an extra to swap in when it dies.

but dammmnnnn.. It does look like the perfect throne for my Erlkonigin!

Absolutely, that was IDonn0's point.
We're old fashioned, like to tinker, and try to fix things instead of sending them in :D

I'd try a couple of drip tip o-rings first though since they are less likely to short.

Here's what I'd recommend
  1. remove battery cover
  2. remove electronics cover
  3. the - (minus) button will practically fall out
  4. put a washer or o-ring around it
  5. re-assemble
  6. shake the living daylights out of it

If the rattle is reduced by 1/2, then repeat for the other button.

The + button will be a little more difficult to get to though.
A split ring washer (circlip) or cut o-ring should fit down in there without having to tear the thing to shreds.

If you have any questions let us know, and if need be I'll tear mine down completely and take pictures. :vapor:

Wow thanks Jake, your help is much apreciated! I will try it this week, honestly im exited

It's aluminum with a stainless tube right? So reasonably light?

I am sure this has been asked a 1000 times over, whats the battery life on these? It is an internal battery correct?
yep the value of the rDNA over the original VS DNA is the "r" stands for replaceable! so.. its rechargeable.. but also, battery swappable..I have vtc5 in mine generally..

The battery life is very good. I have been chain vaping rootbeer float all day. I just plug it in on the rare times I am not vaping and I have a full charge. I love having the option to swap the battery out, but I have never need to. Still think the RDNA is the way to go.

Yeah the more I read this thread the more I have already convinced myself I am ordering one. I held a buddies VS DNA 30 today and HOLY CRAP I never realized that there that small it made my Hana look like goliath. I might save the $20 and just get the original DNA 30 VS ... I can't stand devices that rattle and I know I am not going to shake it while I'm vaping it's just more less I know they rattle and that will bug the crap out of me just knowing that. I might contact VS and see if they have a solution for the rattling buttons.

Canada eh!
The other thing to think about 're rattling buttons is if they are made to to tight a tolerance, eventually they will stick. Add a drop of juice or two and some dust over time and bam, everyone starts complaining about the buttons sticking. I think VS have designed them this way for a reason. Also don't forget, the vs power up and down buttons are just pieces sitting on top of evolves fancy little French buttons, so it's not like there is room to put a spring in between the parts to keep things tighter. I think if the tolerances were any closer we would be running into other issues down the road.

Yep. The vs dna is so small! How often do you guys REALLY swap out batteries? My vs dna last all day. Vaping like crazy at 15-20 watts. Did I mention it's significantly smaller than the RDNA? Like hide in the hand small. 22 mm attys fit perfectly with a sharkskin on it.
I've got my Hana mini for when I want something big!!!! Lol.

I definitely got jerked around on my order and still wish it was black like I ordered. So,if there was something to gripe about I guess I could be first in line. I hadn't taken the sharkskin off since I got it, and just did to check for you. At least on mine I can't even see the buttons move when I shake it to hear the rattle people were talking about. I couldn't even tell if it was inside or outside with the rattle. I can tell you the issue has been way over hyped. Probably because PBusardo mentioned it in his review. I think he is great and he is very thorough. I really hate stuff that is not right. That being said this is a real non issue. It never ever ever bothers me the buttons on mine have been fine.

Send it back for black ...... If that's what you ordered. Be happy.
