Should I cancel my order? Y'all have me seriously doubting this here

To tell the truth, I like the device. I am just a picky person and I am not very mechanically inclined. The VS dna 30 has served me well, so my expectations on this was rather high. The button rattle could just be nothing but a sound. The looks are cool and the ability to change the battery is definitely a plus. Anyone else have some input for him?

Oh crap, seemed to be as durable as the DNA when I saw one in person. It's at least as durable as the hcigar which is fine. Plan is to use the provari for those times I need the durability -ie outdoor activities - and the Edna for normal everyday use.
The DNA has taken some fairly serious falls and she's fine a vamo or a sigelei would be doa by now. I realize the provape is almost indestructible and not expecting that level of durability. I ran over that mod not once but 4 times and it's fallen in the pool.... hardly a scratch on it. It's just that hydrogen Great for a tank; but I don't vape with a tank much anymore and the form factor + power of the VS is perfect for me.

As long as you have a good backup the rDNA should be ok. It looks cool, good form factor, good board but cheap buttons, not a durable 510 and some are put together poorly. I wouldn't trust it as my only device when going out and about.

The button rattle doesn't concern me in the least. The buttons are not the actual switch, but are simply a plastic button that pushed the buttons that are mounted on the board. This is the same thing that many pieces of consumer electronics do. -you just don't notice it on your $1200 flat panel TV, because you don't carry it with you and have a chance to obsess over it. I honestly do not believe that this will ever cause any problems. I would personally rather have a little minor button rattle than have a button bind up and stay pressed. IIRC, all of the ProVaris that I have owned (and now sold), would show button rattle, as would the button on my Reo.

There is no button rattle on my ProVari's or my REO's(the REO's have a slight bottle and/or battery rattle once a while.

There was a guy in this thread that had his rDNA button bind up. So they rattle, the coating comes off and they get stuck, I guess. Mine hasn't gotten stuck yet but it rattles and the coating is worn off. It still functions fine.

I've had my rDNA for over a month with no issues. I've knocked it over and dropped it a few times. (I have a SharkSkin.) I don't shake it so haven't noticed a button rattle. No coating has come off my firing button. My 510 is fine. I've used this device as my main device since it arrived. I don't know if I'm lucky, they have a QC problem, or you guys are just rough on your devices compared to myself.

Zero issues for me with the button rattle and my "skin" is always installed. Just a thought and I have never done this with an rDNA but on my REO we put dental floss under the larger (cost extra) fire button when installed (press fit) on top of the standard little guy. Sounds funky BUT it holds it in place very very very securily.

HTH

I love my RDNA. it's my all day vape. Build quality great, with zero problems. I use my shark skin and have no rattles of any kind. No 510 problems or scratches anywhere.

Some have had issues, but the vast majority are very happy with the rDNA.

So, people are not getting button rattle with the sharkskin on? My down button doesn't but my up button is rather loud even when my finger scraps it when I go to put it down.

Mine rattles with the skin on. They also get louder and looser over time and use.

I wish their quality control was better.... because the form factor is perfect for a device with a 18650.

Also, my Evolv screen is a bit slanted. I saw this a few times when looking at the DNA 30 in stores, but my DNA 30 screen is centered properly. Great device if they could get their quality control in check.

I don't hear much of these issues with Hana Modz and they are only 10.00 apart in price now..

Lol, Hana is even worse. Their customer service sucks too.

Any DIY fix for the button rattle?
Thanks!

I fixed mine.... Open the non battery side either an Allen wrench... The down button will come off so be careful... Cut a piece of non conductive foam about and 1/8" thick 1/8" wide and 1/2 inch long... Stick it under the wide part of the button on the up button between the button and the board.. Next put in the down button and stick another piece of foam under the down button...

Lastly the fire button... Stick a piece of magazine paper between the button pin and the button on the board... Install cover and ur done

Been using my rDNA exclusively now for a few days and it is working amazingly. Like others said their is a a bit of button rattle but that is a non issue for me and it is actually due to the machining for the button holes being ever so slightly too large. I do not mind this as if the machining is too tight the buttons could easily stick. This has been working really well but so far I have not been able to take it above 23.5 watts without getting nasty dry hits. Not sure why yet.

I am running a single coil 1.2 ohm build on my Veritas RDA wide open 3.5mm's of air flow and still getting dry hits at 30 Watts like the cotton is just not wicking at all because the juice is in there. I hope I can figure out why this is happening. So right now I have been vapeing it between 17.5 and 23.5 watts.
