Does anyone ever use ful capacity of the 30?Ijust ordered a 20 .Did some math on an ohms app,and even going low, like .8 or so,20 seems to be fine.just curious.

For myself, and many others I suspect, 20w is sufficient. It seems that lately watts are rising almost in a competitive race, but for what? I have found a flavor that didn't seem to taste as well above like 12 and I don't know why. Anyway, I experiment with a ML of many juices at different levels and, for me, about 13-19 watts works well. I guess I am just an average Joe.

Maybe I need to get fixed... :p

It's an issue with the Evolv DNA 40D board, not the mod manufacturers.

True but it seems a lot of people that got VaporShark DNA 40's have had more problems then other mod manufacturers. Maybe they got most of the first run boards with problems.

Lol have you even seen the hana and flask threads.

Aside from the xpv, the rDNA 40 probably has the least issue.

Just cuorius since I am in the thinking box for a VS 40, you have the abbility to remove the battery and us a charger separately,or not?

I thought to respond as Heespharm did but was hesitant because of a possible misunderstanding around "remove the battery".

Yes, you have both options (1) remove the battery and put in a feshly charged battery, (2) vape while charging. On the VS 40 you have a third option (3) wireless charging.

I am reasonably sure you cannot vape without a battery installed...if that's what hat you were asking.

The 40watts was the least attractive feature of the rDNA 40 for me. I'll be surprised if I use more than 20w with it on a daily basis.

As Kiwi said, check the VF and Hana threads.

You need a battery installed for pass-thru (so technically not pass thru). The battery door uses a magnet so swapping batteries is tool free.

Surprised not many people have come here to rave about their rdna40. I love that little sucker ever since I got it. With the skin on, I don't have to worry about being rough with it, and it's just sucha great size. Between my Reos and my rDNA, my flask has seen at most 30mins of vape time.

Also have not swapped the batteries out since I got it. Wub. Happy camper here.

Been loving my rDNA40 as well. I've been using it since Nov. 7 with either a GG Tilemahos with AFC or a Magma with no issues. I really didn't anticipate using the temp protection feature much, if at all, as dry hits haven't been an issue for me. Was I ever wrong!

I doubt that any mods without temp protection will be in my future despite the Ni200 being very dainty for building. It's been a pure joy for me to be able to balance temperature limiting and power to exactly how I want it.

Aside from the temperature protection I'm a total fan of the size, wireless charging and magnetic back door when I prefer to just do a quick battery swap. Right now I'm trying to decide whether or not to order another rDNA40 or wait to see what the next smaller version will be like.

The one thing I don't like about my rDNA40 is the seam that allows any leaky juice to get inside the mod. I first solved this by putting a couple of drops of craft glue over the spots where the leaks could occur. Since then I have tried some Pébéo Porcelaine Chalkboard Black paint which looks much, much nicer.

I use a toothpick to put a small drop of the paint on the two trouble spots. I popped up the contrast in this photo considerably to make the paint more visible but it hardly shows at all. The flat black color matches the rDNA40 case perfectly and you really have to be looking for it for the paint drops to be noticeable.

The paint doesn't damage the finish at all. It stays put until I remove it with a fingernail or toothpick although it will come off when you remove the battery cover. I'm hoping that VS will fix this issue in the next iteration of the rDNA.

Is it only VaporShark that's having a problem with the DNA 40s or is it other mod companies?
It's an evolv issue. From what I was told- The first production round had an error in the coating that comments the oled to the board. It was not discovered until they were I'm end users hands. Evolv; as well as, Hana and Vaporshark are practicing a no questions asked exchange route. (Other mfgs may be doing that also but I've only dealt with Vs and Hana) so while mildly frustrating I've not heard of anyone losing anything other than time.
The cape experience alone is well worth it though. I've never had a smoother more consistent vape than what the dna40 gives. Form factor being a personal preference the board just plain rocks. For me with the wireless charging and sleek form factor, I don't see myself ever going back to a tube mod other than a mech.
Hana seems to have gotten the most bad boards seems like 1/3 of the units were screwy, then vapor flask.

I found them for 5$ on the fleabay. One in the den by the recliner, one next to the bed, one in my office and one by the toilet for those relaxing newspaper moments

Just to show how versatile it is.... the mod, not the paper.

FYI - Not all Qi chargers are created equal. Some chargers have small coils so you have to be exact to the mm or it won't charge. Others have 2-4 coils so you just throw in on there and it just works. Wireless charging is awesome though.
