So my faithful rDNA30 finally stopped working yesterday. Fire button stuck on. The button feels like its still clicking but the blue ring stays lit and its trying to continuously fire. Hoping its something easy to fix so decided to ship it back to VS to try out their Diagnostic service.

I was a bit upset at first - I also have 2 rDNA40s, and don't want their buttons crapping out in another few months. But then again I have been using this one daily since September, and one of the reasons I like Sharks is because of the availability of repair services, so we'll see what they make of it.

So my rDNA30 with fire button "stuck" is back from VS. They replaced the piggyback board and all is well. $25 for their Diagnostic service which included the part and return shipping, plus my initial shipping. They had it in house 2 business days, the rest was USPS travel time from/to California. I'm impressed. And happy to get my device back, it's the Gunmetal one, still my favorite finish. :)

Eh, didn't know there was a complaint on the rubberized coating but I can understand the painted coat everywhere else. Not really surprising giving the fact that VF allowed them to make the flask itself and they added their touch to it. But at the same time $189 is the cheapest any VF has ever been with a DNA40 chip to say the least.

Just out of curiosity does anyone have experience with the hcigar HB with the same Evolv 40w chip as the Vaporshark?
There's a thread for it.

For the price, I'd rather get a rDNA40 for a few bucks more or the DNA40 if you don't mind not being able to swap batteries for about the same cost.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems to be larger than the Vaporshark as well.

Yep quite a bit actually. Its a decent mod thats fot sure but with these price cuts it would be more of a benefit to get a VS. Warranty is better, they are stateside yadda yadda. I do own both and spend more time on the rDNA. Besides this I've accidentally dropped my HB twice now and its built like a tank with a few nicks in the metal.

I have been using rDNA40 since day 1, and it was my only APV.

However as of 30 minutes ago I have a problem. When I click the fire button and release it, the rDNA doesn't stop firing and continious nonstop. I checked the interior to see if the button was stuck but it wasn't. I am clueless. I am back to my Provari 2.5 after a year. Any ideas?

Happened with my rDNA30 recently. I sent it back to VS, they replaced the piggyback pcb. $25 through their Diagnostic service.
