Vaporshark releases the DNA 40 (DNA not rDNA)

Pulled the trigger on this li'l guy as well. Also, just noticed that vape box created my label for my march box. Super duper pumped. The vs is my birthday present from my parents. They usually just hook me up with cash. All i ask for my birthday every year is my birthday dinner to be my mommas tacos ^.^ glad to be close with my parents.

yeah battery is a non-issue. I subohm 0.15 with the kanger subtank all day long and I never run out of power with the dna40. It recharges in like an hour too from weak battery to full as well so I'm kind of liking the in house battery now.

Duun, are you using those prebuilt temp sensors from vapor shark? If so, you think theyre worth 18.50 for 5?

Let's just say, I got one in last week. As a result, I just sold my rDNA40, and my DNA30 that was upgraded with a DNA40 board, and ordered a second one this morning. Love this mod! Same performance of any Evolv DNA40 box, size without sharkskin is the same as the dna30 with sharkskin, but battery life is the same as the rDNA was. What's not to love about it!

Also, you see a lot of hate on these boards when there is a delay due to demand of the rDNA, or a pre-order takes longer than one hopes. The first DNA40 I ordered shipped the next day after I ordered. The one I ordered this morning shipped within 2 hours (was probably within the hour, but I'll give the haters benefit of doubt here). Also anytime I've had to deal with their CS is has gone as well or better than any other company.

Yea they are so close in size that I didn't even notice the VS 40 is slightly bigger until I read your post (and I own both lol). The VS 40 is just slightly wider.

I agree with this and also I think they needed to leave room for improvement when the next DNA chip comes out. I vape 20-30 watts and I have no problem getting through a full day with my VS 40.

I'm eagerly awaiting when VS releases DNA25 / rDNA25 - I don't need 40 watts, 25 is quite over the upper limit for my style of vaping

Or when someone posts a detailed account / video of putting dna 25 in Cloupor Mini

still havent gotten it, i assume she probably hasnt ordered it yet, seeing as my birthday is still 13 days away. but she said shed have it to me before next friday because im heading to a lan party and dont want to have a bunch of extra .... that can get broken, destroyed, corroded. haha

What kind of battery life do people get out of the 30?

The 1300mah LiPo Battery seems a little small by todays standards.

Haha I'm also a little curious. I had read the fact that it's LiPo helps but I'm no electric engineer, so I don't understand why. I'm sure the 40 blows it out of the water in life though either way?

Why would they release a DNA 25 when they had a DNA 20 which was discontinued and replaced by the DNA 30?? Which is now also discontinued.

DNA25 is a new chip - almost same bells and whistles as DNA40, but with max of 25 watts power.

Yeah they are worth the money. I've been vaping the first one now for over a week and no jump in ohm's still 0.15
I normally don't like to buy coils but when I saw how easy these will be to rebuild I thought it would be worth the money.

I was getting a full day without a problem, when I was vapping 1.2ohm coils.

Now that I've discovered the Sub Tank mini, and love the .5 ohm coil, my Vapor Shark DNA 30 would last about 2 and a half or three hours, tops!

Ended up getting an IStick 50w, with a 4400 mah battery, and it lasts well into the third day, even with my vapping at 25 watts.

I now use the Vapor Shark for times that I'm charging my IStick.

from what I was reading on ................. dna25 has an amp limit of 13, where dna40 has amp limit of 16 with instantaneous peak of 23amps...but it's temp sensing so that's a nice chip too

Depends on how you vape and what you're using on it. I have a KF4 on both of mine (1.5Ω @ 11-12w) and they can go thru a bit more than a tank (4-5ml) on a charge.

Lipo can hold their voltage better than a LiIon so you get a bit better performance. I get about 2 tanks out of my rDNA40 with a .16Ω coil @ 20w.

Ahhh ok. Was not aware of that one. Might be worth waiting. I have zero need for 40w. Even 30w is pressing it for me.
