Recieved the Stratus 22mm, just this past Friday 10 April ...

Out of the box impression ... AWESOME !
- Nice ... soild, heavy feel to the Stratus, and looks GREAT !

After a good cleaning ...

Been playing around with the Stratus 22mm over the weekend

The machining that went into making this Stratus, is nothing short of GREAT !
- Pictures by them self, won't do the Stratus justice, you have to hold one in your hands, break it down & check it out ...

Setting up the Stratus 22mm, just like the Stratus 19mm ... both are "Forgiving" sort of atomizers.
- hot spots & shorts are less of a problem ... It's Magic

My setup norm is ...
- #400 mesh, rolled semi solid
- 3-4 wrap 32awg a1 kanthal ... for 1.5ohm, maybe alittle higher ... happy with this

The tight draw ... is very smooth

Flavor / Vapor production is ... EXCELLENT !

I have to say ... The Stratus 22mm ... is ... one of my most satisfying purchase into 2013

Looking forward, to more of your magic ... jherron

I can't hardly wait for mine.....

No need really, a quick wash with some dish soap and good rinse took care of it. Not a big deal, something I do with any new tank or rba anyway. Just be careful when taking the glass off and to not get water in the 510 connection. Then a very light coat of pg on the orings and the glass will go on much easier.

i used iso alcohol.... hope that does it; taking anything apart, is the kiss of death for my touch...

Just ordered my 22. This will be my very first rebuildable atomizer! Looking forward to it!

Congrats! it'll be a bit before it's ready and shipped, in the mean time you should take a look at youtube to see how to build the coils. I highly recommend the Peter K method.

I received my Stratus 22 last week and I have only one complaint (which I am responsible for)....it makes driving a car semi-dangerous. It makes me think of the scene from Cheech and Chong's first movie where the car is billowing smoke even with the windows rolled down and you can't even see the drivers. I'm waiting for the cops to pull me over...that is if I can see them in the rear view.

In all seriousness, though, the stratus is easy to disassemble, easy to clean, and easy to set up. Everything about it is user friendly and for some reason it REALLY heats up those coils! I actually had to add a wrap to keep the resistance up! It's strange in that even when I use the SAME wick that has been completely cleaned in another genesis (ZAU, DID, and Cobra) AND set up in the exact same way (within reason)...it doesn't heat up nearly as well. I don't how it works. Don't care. It's amazing.

Lastly, I just want to send out a thanks to Jherron. I have never signed up on a list from a manufacturer before. I wasn't even sure how to go about the whole thing (I know...I'm a little slow) but he made it very easy. Did I mention he ships fast? Anyway, if he ever designs anything else you better believe I'm gonna be on that list. Man, I love this forum!

updates on the gus/paps/caravela adapter . ive been playing with it to get as much adjustmet out of it as possible . i ordered some different length screws for the bottom that should work with all battery sizes . i have one local tester that has a carvela 18350 to try it out . i would like to find another person as well that has multiple tube sizes that could test this out .i dont want to send them out to find out there is issues . so who has a stratus22 , caravela paps and a gus with all tube sizes on hand . so like the bumper sticker says the one with the most toys wins!

photos of the adjustable adapter and a possible future top cap for the stratus22

I've got a Caravela 18350/18650, GUS 18350/18650, and a Bear Brass Mod steampunk (believe it also has the same threading) in 18500.

Its funny how some brag on how they got the best performing atty, come to find out its nothing more then a sales pitch, the atty is nothing more then headaches and hotspots ( you know who you are!!! ) ...here comes Josh all humble with his design, not bragging about anything and he creates a well rounded user friendly atty the kicks the other attys ... in performence.. its easily set up with minimal (close to none) hot spots..I actually ment no hotspots.. its just amazing no BS!!!
