I would like to get some input on this , how would everyone feel about a smooth cap ? thinking about dropping the grooves , possibly depending on what everyones thoughts were on the idea

Personally, as I'm sitting here looking at the Stratus that just arrived on my front porch, I love the grooves. Not only do they help get the cap off, but the make the atty stand out... I like the plain look, but it just seems a bit, I don't know, generic-looking to me. In the pic above, for example, if I wasn't in this thread I might think it was a Z-Atty-U or any of a number of atty's that look a lot like that.

Incidentally, I can't help showing this little beauty off. It looks gorgeous on my GGTB.

Now I just need to set it up and fill it. :)

Your Stratus looks great on the GGTB ... when you get the chance, let us hear how it performs

If the Stratus was just 1mm larger in diameter, it match the GGTB perfectly ...

Have good one

I've finished setting it up with some 400 SS and a ~1ohm coil... no fancy U-wicks or anything just yet, because I couldn't wait to try it out.

It was really easy to get going... The center post is a breeze to work with. Realy easy to get a wire in there, and the adjustment screw at the bottom is really nice. Made it easy to get the fit just right. The top cap is great... that sucker fits about as snug as any press-fit atty I've got, and it's not going to be falling off on its own.

And this thing is vaping great. The draw on it is exactly how I like it... not too tight, and not too loose. It's throwing off huge clouds.

I'd been using a Cobra on the GGTB up until now, but I think the Stratus just took its spot.

[ETA: Did a little write-up of the Stratus here: http://www.vapesquad.com/?p=361]

Seriously, it's just a great atty. I had no problems setting mine up either and I generally have to work at it. I agree with the draw...it's somewhere in the middle...not overly airy, but not too tight. Flavor....spot on.

I got a 19 off the classies and am surprised how small it is... I have a question about the pos post.
Mine came with a knurled nut with some fixed washers under it... the post has merely about 3 threads in it and it seems to be cut at an angle (?)...
I'm used to small working area (Cobra 3ml) but on the other hand I use 28g wire exclusively... I'm also used to lots of room a la iHybrid post. 28 is pretty thick...
I'll give it a test and be right back LOL after i get my chores done :)

The 19 came with a couple extra phillips screws... and some orings...and a small allen wrench which i don't know why (?) (oh it fits the one filled hole... would that be an optional wick hole?

.the wick hole looks barely 1mm away from the pos. post.... kind of worried about that..
