Btw I have found the juice flavor is Much more pronounced and the yuck muted when covering the extra holes on the side if they are not needed on you device. Not needed on my standard vtube but is when on the stainless vtube mini. The stainless is a coned top vice the flat top standard vtube.

Now if I only had toothpicks at home...darn it

Getting better with every hit.

Just got my vivi nova earlier today and i am really disappointed. Disgusting chemical taste from the 2.4ohm head that was on. I did not do any priming. When i try to see if the coil is working ok, it seems like its not vaporising liquid but something burning below the coil. Any of you more experienved know what is the problem?

A couple of folks experienced something similar. The manufacturer is looking at the problem. Stay tuned. :)

Try your other coils, too. I had one with a problem, and one that is working really well at this point: good taste and good vapor. They also seem to take a long time to break in. Many people have had the performance dramatically improve after, maybe, a tank-full or so. Myself included.

vision is working on the issue at hand and we will have a announcement later on.

there was literary over 20 people in a board room all with novas in front of them, engineers with equipment and line workers, they are working hard on this.

That's great.

I do have one request (probably the obvious, but...): *Please* do tell us what the problem was - I think I'll die of curiosity if I don't find out. LOL

Thanks, Bocephus - will go re-look at it right now. I did actually watch it at one time, but I think it slipped my mind, since it didnt' apply to me at the time (I don't like taking Stardusts apart). See, I did say I was a tad overwhelmed.

Thanks again.

Rockinrobby/estarra did a great video on rewicking the stardust and has links to the coil wire and wick. Just goodgle Gotvapes Stardust: Changing the Wick & Coil and it should be at the top. It is a lot easier doing it with the loose wick like he uses than a vision/fluxo with as its rough until ya get it down to get the coil the right fit using a nail/needle as the small braided wick tends to spin and fray. His video is good.

I rewicked a head today with kanthal 32 and a vision wick and its working really good. Wicks down in the tank and no issues with fantastic flavor and good vapor. No gurgles or nothing.

Gah... I'm posting too much... :D

Thanks i will try tomorrow the other coils, but if they are this bad as the first one, i cannot vape more than 5-6 draws, my stomach is sensitive and i got problems with vaping burning wick :( If only it was within tolerable limits then i could vape a tank and see if it breaks in.

Will report back tomorrow.

Just a tad confused by something - if thee know that a 'Miser' has a breaking in period - why are folk using their 'Premium Juice' to do so? I use less favoured, but well known to me, juices to break a 'Miser' in and only when it 'feels' right do i start putting my All Day Vape anywhere near - don't see the point in 'wasting' my favourites when they could be burned, boiled or leak

I just got my Vivi today, and the only issue I'm having is the one with the connection on the eGo style batteries. Using the 2.4ohm atty now @ 3.7v, and it's hitting nice with my 50/50 fruit flavors, and with no wick adjustments or other prep work.

Everything I've tried seems to work great the first day or two (with a few exceptions that I just didn't like), but we'll see how this holds up over time.

There's a fella who did a YouTube vid (2 actually) on retrofitting a stardust with an SS wick...

Vison Ego Clearomizer / Stardust Atomiser - SS Mesh Wick Making Tutorial - YouTube

The way he kinked that wick isnt the best way to roll with that,,, there is a better technique from back in the Scubatdan Scuba tank where you make the wick like an upside down "U" and it will wick much better, once you put a kink in the wick it doesn't wick properly,,, if your gonna do this make your SS Wick and in between your thumb and forefinger very gingerly put pressure in the middle of the wick and start twisting it, a little at a time and you will get that perfect upside down "U" then use that as your wick. It works and works well zippersnapper. Maybe go to the Scubatdan ScubaGen thread and you will see what Im talking about, I dont have time to search it right now, but its worth finding and using this technique over making a kinked wick.

You can also just oxidize a small piece of mesh and wrap it into your wick :)

I still prefer the Silica, and resting on a piece of ceramic best :)

I'm with you 100% on the Silica wick and I have kicked around the idea of wrapping SS around Silica to give it some sort of "Backbone" if you will....

I just posted the link to that Vid, for the other members who were inquiring about it. As always, your wisdom and input is much appreciated. As the saying goes: "Help me obi wan kenobi, your my only hope".....

Just a quick update: I've change the atty out to the 1.8ohm and I'm running @ 3.7v vaping my ECBlend 50/50 Dragon's Blood. To me, it's hitting every bit as well as a fresh Stardust, producing nice amounts of vapor, and the taste with this combination is on par or very close to the Stardust on the first tank. As long as it continue to perform this way, I'll be getting more of the 1.8ohm atties and continue to use this setup.
