Krystm I would have to recommend getting a vv. I would be forever frustrated without one. There is so much variance between products and far to often between the same product that it is really worth the investment. And now there are quite cheap vv on the market. Got the provari a couple years back and it has been the best bit of gear I have. There are the ego twist and itaste which are pretty affordable. Sometimes all it takes is a 10th of a volt to make all the difference.

Yeah I know VV / VW is where it's at and while I should make that change I am doing all this research for 3 other people. So while VV is awesome, they just want simple tank on and go no fuss. Looking for the simplest and easiest while being easily repairable. (While staying away from e-gos and cig-alikes. Nothing wrong with e-go's I just can't fix them) The issue with the Provari and other mods is that if they break it's a sending it into the mfg for fixing. Where if it's a standard mod I can take it apart and replace a switch since that is what I have seen mostly being the issue. I dunno they also aren't crazy taste "N@zi's" like me so just be easiest for them on something like I got. I am just trying to do "better" if that makes sense. They LOVE what I have now so VV for them really isn't an issue, I am just one of those if there is something better out there I wanna try it at least.

Oh ok I see. as far as the provari it's a tank. 2+ years of drops and constant use it works good as new. Still on the original batteries. (2 AW 18490) The box mods I've made have never lasted long. For them more complicated is bad like you say. I recommend finding something with a mechanical button. That way it can't really break. Just a spring and some metal... I don't own any such devices or know many. From a few years ago when I was into researching devices there was the GG line (expensive) the prodigy v3 I think had one. The megalodon has one. Those are what I remember off hand. Anyway I think full mechanical is the way to go I'd look into those and find whats in your friends price range.

Thanks for the ideas!

Well the simple mods like the Bombshell which is what I have from HotVapes is super simple design. Battery Terminal, Button, 510 Base. So only thing that can break on it is the button or solder which I can fix no problem. They are familiar with it and like it a lot. My hope for the Vivi was best taste and just swap to a head to do so. Only problem is can't get 4-4.5 V on that mod. BUT they do like 1.7 on 3.7 and it is good for them, I am just looking for the BEST taste using that mod. So that way I know if they should do 6V or 3.7 / dual or single coil or vivi etc.

Just figured while I was working on that if there was any other way around it without a VV but seems like I am fighting a losing battle and should save up for a VV or at least the Kick.

Nope...V2.5 has the airholes on the connection stem.....above the threads. V2 had them around the base of the tank....in the knurled ring thingy.

The V1 has 2 airholes in the knurled cap , the v2 and v2.5 has the 2 airholes in the 510 connector just above the threads.
The airhole was changed into the 510 connector with the v2 version.

Don't think I posted this yet. I got the 3.5ml DCT cones on Friday for my Apollo SS LT. Installed them and problem gone. In addition, it eliminated the extra space created by the 510 to 510 connector. These can be picked up in a few places, but I followed orachel's link in her blog and they shipped the same day.

www.
Got my vivi nova 2.5 in the mail today. This thing is awesome. It's kind of weird for me because the biggest thing I ever used before was a 1.6 vision.

Great vapor and I laid it upside down for an hour with no leak.

I'm using this on a smokeless image x2, 1300mah with an adapter and I've found my new foot delivery system for home. Gotta save up for some more of them.

Any chance on getting them in 808 guys. Lots of volt users will come over for that. I know I've sent several people to you for the 808 Phoenix

By the way, I love the new shipping location. Ordered these Friday and in my mailbox on Monday. Great job guys.

Got my V2.5 and a few spare heads last week and i can say this is a huge improvement over the V1. I am even using the V2.5 head on my V1 and this knocks my socks off! I was so afraid this thing would just taste like burning hell again. The first two tanks were a little muted but on the 3rd and 4th tanks it is rocking steady. I am using them at about 8-9w for the 2.4 & 1.8 ohm and they are working well. When full. I think I may rebuild these with different sucking material to see if it prevents the similar dry hits near the bottom of the tank.

Another idea I have had was to stuff the tank with some sort of filler to see if this will help keep my wicks/coils wet. This thing vapes like a beast when wet. I am very pleased as long as I keep it all lubed up. Any comments on my post would be appreciated.

Can anyone show me a photo or describe how the Vivi fits on the Bolt and/or the new Ego Mod?

Not a great picture...but here it is on the ego-t

vnego.jpg

There is a sleeve available (on my next order) which will make it look even better. The sleeve fits over the adapter, so there won't be the space between the pv and the tank.
