ARGH!!! I just rebuilt one of my heads and picked up my vivi only to find the tank is loaded with leaking cracks on both thread ends and the plastic is frosted over. I had high hopes with the rebuilding option on the heads but they need to stop using this type of plastic for tanks
To be honest thats what one thing I dont get about vision. They had to know it would break. Its not like the VS did not have the same issue, and they changed it 3 times, but kept the same tank every time. Now this. What does it take? My tank is fine, but now I know its only a matter of time and its wont be fine anymore. I hate responding to stuff like this but its like hitting your head on a desk. How many times are you going to do it, till you notice it hurts? At the same time I have to ask that same question to myself.ARGH!!! The clear tanks are polycarbonate as mentioned when these were first announced... so I don't know why people are complaining about cracked and glazed tanks when this is a known issue with this type of plastic when used with certain types of e-juice. It is a case of "if you know it hurts, don't do it"...
This is also why they are going to offer the metal tanks for these. So if you know you are going to use a juice known to cause cracking issues... wait until the metal takes are released ... otherwise there isn't much room for .....in' IMO
See your causing issues that you really dont need to cause. What I stated was how I felt after working on fixing other problems with the VN. Now this. So ya im annoyed about the tank. I could care less if my stupid tank broke. I know how to make my own. What I was trying to do was be a voice. What you dont know is that I have been working on fixing issues with this tank for other peoples benefit for the last 3 days and posting clips on things I did fix all the meanwhile answering questions all day long from people that want and need help. So no I dont need someone poking me in the side. I said it before and I will say it again. If u dont want my help then so be it. I will just kick rocks and find something else to do, like build on my VV mod. What did you bring but drama? Now I feel like Bad but its worse. I dont get paid. I take a kick to the side for it.striker911...
I can't find it now... but it was mentioned in the original thread where they weren't giving the name of the product at first ( later they did have a pic of it on the tube )... badkola was the one that stated they had updated the tube but it wasn't certain if certain juices would affect it yet ( at the time ) but they were also going to come out with the metal tubes later ...
So complain if you must... but the fact is that these are still a polycarbonite tube which is known to have issues with certain types of juices... Either way... there will be a solution once they get the other colored metal tanks for these in.
I certainly hope you're right. I've been fortunate enough to not have any issues with the 2 heads I've tried so far (1.8 and 2.4), and if the issues others are seeing is being addressed, I think this will become a very popular product. One thing I'd like to see evolve is tank choices so users can have translucent colored tanks with or without measurement marking. If it becomes popular enough, maybe we'll even see popular tank makers offer options for the actual tank in etched glass and Pyrex.
I had previously spoken with a maker of pyrex tanks who told me that coring them out with threading just isn't feasible with the kind of uniformity needed for this type of project.
