:D I just got my first VI VI today. All 3 heads had the burnt rubber taste :( So I went back thru this thread and saw the gasket change with the 808 carto gasket fix :?: I changed vivi one out with one of those and tried it again.............

OMG !! They're vaping FANTASTIC now !! :D Love them !!! Thank you Bad & Danno

All 3 had big burn marks in the rubber when I took them apart. I used a new gasket from 3 unused cartos & used the same wicks n coils that came with the vivi.

Wonderful vape, No Leaks, & Great taste now. I'm a happy camper

has anyone been able to use a thick liquid in their vivi's? mine dont seem to wick real well. i havent done any modifications to them at all.......yet. ...

I didn't see anyone tackle this yet, so...

OK, I had an all VG ECO Virgin Kona Velvet Milkshake from VV in one of my tanks. With a head that seemed to work ok - tested at 3.2 Ohms. Great vapor, taste strength on the weak side, but I could taste it - this juice is *really* mild tasting, so that was an achievement in and of itself. I'm only mentioning the juice by name, because those who have tried it know that it's a *total* PITA for wicking - in *any* carto. It tastes great, but I swear I am about to give up on it...

Anyway. For the first half of the first tank it wicked well. Quite well. No dry hits at all. But afterwards we (the head and I) had a problem that developed into somewhat of a crisis - and no matter how nicely I spoke to it, it didn't help. At this point, I sort of gave up on it. Some relationships are just not meant to be. I'm going to reclaim the juice (I guess I'll just drip it from now on, it doesn't work in the Stardusts, or the Extremes, or the Fluxos, or the Phoenix, or even the Boges very well, not for me, anyway - you get the picture).

So, in answer to your question, I guess I'd say that yeah, it should work - on a *reasonable* juice. :D

After all, I didn't have any wicking problems with 70/30 pg/vg until 3/4 or so down the 3d tank. Needs cleaning, I guess...

Glad to see this fix worked for you as well. The only real issue I have had since then was that when chain vaping (yeah, I know) I tend to burn juice faster then it can wick. Not a real problem, heck that happens with most anything.

When we do get the new heads in we have to 'think' out the procedure to try to make sure that the ones who first purchased the ViVi get first crack at the reduced price on the head. We won't have these up at the reduced price forever as they are fairly inexpensive at our price anyway.

Maybe what we can do is leave the reduced price open for 7 days, limit purchase to one per ohm to anyone as it is nearly impossible task to ferret out who would be buying the new ViVi's with these newer heads and then sayign to them they cannot order the new heads until previous customers got a crack. So just a warning to everyone, we may just have to make them an open purchase item, with a limit and when they sell out they sell out or when the time limit is up, either way. Then new batches that come in would just be priced at the regular price of $2.95, which is below what they should be selling for anyway factoring everything in from our perspective.

Just a suggestion, and even as a person who missed the first round vivis, if your invoice database will let you search orders this way, maybe send out an email coupon code to the early adopters. That way you don't have a ravening horde of purchasers From other vendors snapping them up at the super low price.

I am on fill 6 on my Vivi, still little to no flavor. I got some real nasty hits there for awhile, I checked the coil, it was all kinda messed up, funky, off center. I burned it off, good vapor, but no flavor. It's a bummer, I have had a tiny bit of leaching on the bottom, but after a drying all was fixed. If I can get some flavor out of this thing, I am set.

Update: the leaching I thought was coming from the bottom, was coming from one of two cracks that have formed on the tank. The cracks appear to be from my ejuice, because they are inside out cracks. Now I have to wait for the metal tanks...grrrrrrrrr. My ejuice was a fruit flavor.

Switched to another head - 2.4ohm....Getting very close to the same amount of flavor from it as I did the one I modded. I will keep this head on all day tomorrow while I am at Carowinds. I just hope I don't destroy it or my LT while there lol.

Just a quick update. Both my LT and Nova tank survived Carowinds. So I ended up vapeing 3 tanks through the 2.4ohm head. The flavor still is not there though.

I will try this on the one i messed with after tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.

I have also run a couple tanks through the 1.8ohm head and no luck with it either. This is the one that I unraveled the wicks on.

I got my eGo Twist ordered from GV last night and can't wait to try it out. Just wish they would have had the new coil heads and metal tanks in..sighhh

On a side note I vape a weaker flavored juice and I have not got the odd taste that some say they are getting from the heads inner plug burning.

How is Carowinds? Haven't been there since my kids outgrew the Nickolodeon zone.

I managed to roll and insert a s/s 325 mesh as a wick and re coil with 32 gauge Kanthal wire. It is working quite well but will flood if I fill over ¼ tank. This is O.K. as I just give it a quick roll prior to vaping. My Provari is showing the ohms to be between 1.3 & 1.4. As such the Provari refuses to cooperate! My ego-w 1100mah handles this fine.
Question: In order to increase the ohms, should I roll a thicker wick or increase the coil wraps from 4 to 5 or both?

Either will increase the ohms, but it's easier to add a coil than to make a new wick.

Yeah I had not been since 1996. They got a lot of new rides that are pretty good. The Intimadator is by far the best ride there! The best thing was that I was able to vape everywhere in the park. I only had one employ approach me and tell me that I was only allowed to smoke in the designated areas. After explaining to her that it was a personal vapor she actuallapologizeded to me and let me continue :vapor:

Just wanted to say I must have got a good Vivi Nova. Ive been using this since I've got it 24-7 with the 2.8 ohm head on a LT at 4.3 volts.
I've cleaned it maybe 3 times and it is the most consistent vaping experience I've had yet.
I am still using the first head I put in it and it must be going on 2 weeks..
For me it has been very consistent. I get great TH ,vapor, and flavor.
This will be a constant in my vaping arsenal.

I too created a SS mesh/coil setup tonight and it is working as good as I figured it would being out of its elements of "normal" Genisis setups. I suppose thats part of the fun with this style head design. There is lots of room to play and taylor to you liking.

I'm psyched about the new heads, Sooooooo Bad, ready to post that video yet?:smokie:

metal tanks will be put up later today, they came in and we had to check them over, all good to go.
Really bad, another release that didn't happen when you said it would. I'm not trying to be rude, but come on this is a constant thing. I'm sorry, but I'm just super frustrated that I have ViVi Novas with no tanks and no where to get just the tanks, let alone metal ones.

all new viv novas will have flush connectors and new heads in kit, we will also have new heads for sale, and we will get old head with no coil and wick in them for modders of old vivi

new heads will work with old vivi;s so no worries with that and perform even better in the newest vivi becuase of the minor adjustments made to them with airlfow.
