Welp, I got mine and have been playin with it. Unfortunately Im without a VV device until my LT replacement arrives. However Ive got my ego batts fresh off the charger and the 2.4 ohm head in the unit, full wicks, with 80%VG/20% flavor+DW, DIY Dunhill juice. Let it sit 15mins and excellent vapor, and better flavor than V1 with long wicks. It has a tigher draw than V1. The air intakes are in the 510 post, not the base. I didnt clean it. Took it out and filled it.
Anyone who says flavor is lacking with the new vivi better check in for a tastebud checkup with their doctor. Leave the freakin long wicks alone. EVEN WITH VG juice or you will sacrifice flavor. Ill say it again like I did earlier in the thread.... Fix ya juice, not ya equipment! Cut those wicks and youll cut off flavor, period. There is a dramatic difference between v1 and v2.5 here. Im vaping both side by side with the same juice after taking my old vivi to the hardware store to have the center post ground down.
I played with fitting the old unit/new unit piece per piece. Heres what I know starting from the top.
The drip tip is redesigned on the inside. Looks like theres a plastic or silicone sleeve inside it. Maybe to help with less airy draw.
The top cap is redesigned. The recessed hole one the bottom is no longer there. This means that V1 head DO NOT fit with the v2.5 top cap. I tried with a v1 head and in screwing it down on the tank it cut the silicone cover's top off. So do not use V1 head with the v2.5 top cap. Also there is still a small gap between the top of the plastic tank and the base of the top cap when screwed down fully. It was the same with my v1. It doesnt leak but it should be fixed. The metal tanks do not have that issue.
The metal tank tubes indeed work on the new vivi. Wether the new vivi plastic wont crack with juice I havent checked yet but I have a nice bottle of TPA Ripe Bananna that would crack this puppy for sure if its not better plastic. Ill test it maybe tomorrow and report back.
The atty heads now have four wicks running thru the coil. No lone one resting on top. Odd tho both the 2.8ohm atty inside the new vivi box and the extra 2.8ohm atty I ordred have one thick braided wick, not four... wondering why this is??
The center stem and base are exactly the same except the airholes have been moved to the 510 post.
However, sadly the 510 post is again too long on my new vivi. It works but the base of the vivi does not sit flush on (at least) with the top of any ego batteries I have (yes all seven). It doesnt wobble and indeed screws in, it just doesnt sit flush and that annoys me a bit seeing as it wasnt right the first time, and now the second time. Cant they get a standard 510 thread right? Im not sure if its the outside of the 510 threading or the center post inside it which protrudes a couple mm's tho that is causing it.
Hence it does allow too much airflow even tho the draw is tighter than v1 regardless.
All in all tho at least from an out of the box perspective, v2.5 is a winner. A few minor adjustments necessary. The other atty heads, still unused... we shall see.
