A few days in now and the performance has steadily risen. I think it is fully broken in. The flavor comes in better. Thinking the coil tightened up and wicks are working well. Still need to keep it topped off as the last quarter tank starts to give dry hits. Not burnt just a little dry and taste off. Best part of these is the lack of leaking or gurgling. Stone tanks would sputter a bit and leak out the batt connector. I still like the performance and thick coil on the stone but the no mess nova is worth the downgrade in performance. Will keep you posted.

I have had my vivi nova for almost two weeks now. This is the best thing I have tried so far. The taste is awesome. I have never had a dry hit or leak. I can't wait until the smaller one comes out too. I am hoping GotVapes will stock the other skirts to make it more streamlined on my APV. I whacked it on a table and it's kind of tilted now but still going like a champ.

hmmm I have the metal tank on my ViVi Nova ...a week or so
& I had just about come to the conclusion that it was too metal'ie tasting for me ...
& for some reason It dawned on me that ....
I should try a plastic drip tip instead of the SS one I had on it ...
& hey the metal taste is gone

just goes to show that the littlest change can do wonders sometimes

I had wondered that about both the metal tanks and the SS drip tips. Do the SS drip tips taste sorta metal-y when you aren't using a metal tank also? Glad it worked out for you.

If it still fires it can be brought back to new performance standards. I have been vaping for just over 5 months and I own at least 15 attys and I have only lost 1 and it wasn't due to dry burning. Also I use strictly dark tobacco flavors. There is a learning curve to dry burning. You want to rinse w water and dry out as much of the water b4 burning as possible, Then fire in short bursts, once it starts to get really hot let it sit for a few to cool. Sometimes it takes me a half hour of dry burning to bring an atty back, and thats after only like 1 week of vaping on it. I dont use anny solvents or cleaners, nothing but straight tap water. First blow the atty out thru the threaded end, always the threaded only as that is the flow of air during normal use. Then rinse under warm tap water, blow again. Then start the dry burning. Eventually the goal is for the coil to turn white, and to be able to see all the wraps of the coil. If after burning for say 10 mins and your still not getting an orange glow, run it under the water again (after it cools). Blow again and start to burn again. If your carefull w burning you will never blow a coil, the worst thats going to happen is its going to take twice as long. Eventually you will get the feel for how long to apply current w/o doing damage. Thats the key, get it as hot as possible w/o over doing it and popping it. So basically rinse and repeat as many times as necessary until you have a nice red glowing coil, that turns whiteish when it cools off.

After dry burning I often get a burnt taste for a bit. Rinsing afterwards seems to remove it mostly, but eventually that burnt taste does go away. Horrible, but I usually only dry burn after 4-5 tank fulls. In the process I do remove the darkened juice after one refill. Not sure why I do that, just always have.

Was teasing one of our helpers today about restocking system we are looking into. They listened intently as I told them about placing our stock in a separate area on these 'pods', when the bin reaches a predetermined level stock is transported/teleported over to the bin...

not sure ...I hadn't used it before .
I will have to try it elsewhere & report back.

it came on a dripO'mizer (GV yr or so ago?)
& looked good on the ViVi Nova ...
I think the taste was intensified by the heat ....
"all that metal" heats up pretty good ...
using the plastic one.... cools the experience down some .

Nope...V2.5 has the airholes on the connection stem.....above the threads. V2 had them around the base of the tank....in the knurled ring thingy.

I have 3 of the V2s and they have the air holes in the connection stem. I'm pretty sure that only the V1 had the holes in the base of the tank.

Another update. Still going well with the nova. One slight issue is the juice at half a tank seems to be getting hot and darkening and taste changes. I think because the metal head and large surface area center tube heat builds up quickly and is transferred to the juice. I run the 2.4ohm head at 5v. After half a tank the juice looks like it would after sitting in the sun. The flavor isn't too bad but is different. Could be I run it too hot. Dunno anyone else seeing this?

Yes, I have experienced the exact scenario you describe. I believe its partly why you describe and partly gravity seperating the juice. I have actually started laying down my devices that have the Vivi on them for that exact reason. I hate to lay my PVs down, but I feel I must for the reasons we discuss. SteelJan also referred to the process of seperation in one of her videos regarding a product w a top coil. She actually had a bit of a demonstration w 2 diff products w the same juice in them and the 2 juices were very diff colors.

I have not experienced that with the Vivi Nova....but get it pretty consistently with the Stardusts. I see it more with the sweet, bakery/dessert kind of juices. I haven't put those in the Vivi Nova, as I tend to keep them filled with more "generic" juices that I vape a lot (like Malty Toffee, or fruit types). I rarely use voltages over 3.8 or 3.9 with them, so the higher voltages might be a variable. I move voltages around a lot, but anything over 4.2 always tastes burnt to me.

I failed to mention that I use dark tobacco juices exclusively, which is also a contributing factor.
