BJ43 do you have a link for the LCD voltage read out your using? I have been looking for some for a while but cannot see to find any that don't come with an enclosure.

Those are the ones I used and they charge the freight on each unit.
BJ- Any issues with heat on the LM2596's? I noticed the description calls for a HS if you're pushing over 2A through it. Finally broke down and ordered mine, can't wait to tinker.
It is just barely warm at 3amps, while my Bulli A2 is untouchable hot, Since it is not continuous on it is no problem. I have not needed a HS.

BJ- That is one hell of a board right there, can't wait to see the finished product, as well as some good "in progress" shots so I can follow along with what you did.
Thiinking about installing a multi meter like this or a pen style in my next mod to read voltage, amps, and olms.

How did you wire the rocker switch to select between battery and PT modes? What type of rocker switch are you using? I have 12V/2A AC and car adapters that I used for a Poorvari PT and am getting some LM3596 modules in (I had actually ordered a LM2577 boost module earlier, not LM2596). I'm not fond of a PT only mod

You can also run it backwards, and have a single power source going to 2 different atties, flavor changing with the flip of a switch....oh I might have to do that.
The center post of the rocker switch to the + in on the regulator and the + batt to one outer post and the + PT to the other. The rocker is on off on so in the center position it is also a master switch.
I like that PT, would this work as a mobile power supply? if you can't see the image, basically you have a battery box with the batteries stacked and hooked up to a male connector, USB, Coaxial, w/e. Then you can have a handy VV and take it off the wire, so to say. Just a thought.
Yes that would work. I used a standard 2.1mm power plug and plug it to a battery pack, the car cig lighter basically any power source from 6v to 30v. Old laptop power supplies work great and most have the correct plug.
I read somewhere that the Russians have a variable watt chip that they sell, does anyone know who makes it and where I can buy one or any other country? Also does any know when the Kick will finally be on sale. I really need to build a VW to complete my mods?
