Ehhh... to put it this way.... Let say you have diabetes (being a smoker) and you keep eating sugar (smoking) then came one day where you use artificial sweetener (vape) that has almost zero calories (safer but not safe) but suddenly you enjoyed the sweetness of artificial sweetener (become hardcore vaper) The almost zero calories (safer but not safe) will add up and still affect your diabetes (meaning you will probably still suffer some side effect)

That's what I always explain to my non-smoker who want to try vape. I'm not against them trying. I won't look down on them. But why risk a healthy body? If they still want to vape, then okay man it's their choice. I will help them learn how to vape in a safe way.

At the end of the day, we take certain risk to feel happy in our current sucky world. If vaping makes you happy, I say go for it man. But be safe. Be discreet. And most of all, Never forget the army 9th core value.

Edit: Need to add this one last thing.

vaping doesn't mean you have to act like one socially irresponsible ......s. Yes, the 2nd hand vapor are less dangerous and they dissipate quickly but no one wants to have a blast of your vapor. I'm a vaper myself and I hate this kind of people.

Example:
Me: Can stop vaping in my face not?
CB kia: No worries lah bro, damn safe one
Me: NBCB not the matter of safe, you CB, I blow my load on your face you all happy not?

For many people, switching to vaping completely at one go is extremely difficult and almost like going cold turkey. It'll take some transitional time.

And besides, chances are they would revert to cigarettes when they need their fix for the time being, while they are outdoors and in the open

At least they are trying?

Better than those that have never smoked, and just vape 0mg juice now.

Side note, I was recently at a very hipster part of The island over the weekend. The sheer number of people vaping openly and comparing clouds. Mindblowing

agree maybe it it should be put in ways like why he or she want to vape.... to me frankly is a replacement of analog and also to reduce and hopefully unlike the past i can completely be smoke free and ocassional vaping.

yes i recall my own transition period but more determine this time than the past when i was using nico pad and nico gum back than. But this time round i guess more determine and more reason for myself.

They urge of buying a standby was strong but i did my best to avoid evenutally 3rd week i can stay away from t craze for up to 5 or 6 hrs ( in the past normally will feel unease and sleepy) now okie still unease but i think the law doesnt permit lol. Although i brought it out and leave in the car.

Agreed, I always told my non-smoking friends who seems interested to try their hands at vaping since they are clean, they should stay away from it too and that to me vape is an ALTERNATIVE REPLACEMENT and NOT A TOY. I also made it a point to tell them that there is an etiquette to analog smoking (not blowing smoke in other's faces, etc etc) and likewise that etiquette should be observed with a vape!

All non-smokers should really just stay away from it and stop ruining it for people like me who are doing our best to quit analogs.

I am Singaporean but have not been back for a long while now. Heard and read a lot how strict it is to be vaping there. I am thinking of heading back for a couple of days and I dare not bring any vape stuff with me. I am not sure how I am going to deal without vaping.
Any ideas?

We are hidden cause the dogs do not know how to tax the nicotine and therefore make it illegal even though there are many studies that vape is safer than actual smoking.

Scientists Shocked After Testing Ecig Vapor in the Lab
Well they cant tax nicotine because of the amount of revenue they earn from the tobacco companies themselves. Had a friend who worked in a tobacco company of which i won't mention, told me each pack is equivalent to less than 1.50. They cant afford to lose that huge load of cash. If not where our big bosses gonna get their income??

1. Smoked for immediately upon bmt for the first time in my life.
2. Never did get hooked but I relished in the attention & popularity I'm getting (plus managed to speak to ah beng and mat. Last time I was too nerdy and don't have the self-confidence to survive army)
3. Quit the moment I ORD as my SO don't like smoker
4. Went back to work, had craving now and then.
5. August, craving stop and I officially became a non-smoker
6. Went back to army camp to visit my friend and encik. Friends show me what is vaping.
7. Started buying my first mod in october
8. No excuses here, but vaping is a pleasurable sin to me.
9. By nov, 5mod, 5 tanks HAHAHA
10. By dec, answering question on ECF

Once again, I make no excuses. I could have walked away from all these but I fell back to the darkness, albeit at a lower level of hell. Vaping is now a pleasurable vice that I CAN quit but I don't feel like it. I'm not proud of it but being willing to not make excuse is the mans' way to live.

And I may sound like a broken recorder but

Vaping is pleasurable. But it's not 100% safe. There are no long term health study to proof that it's safe. Do not vape if you are a non-smoker. Picking up vaping when you are a non-smoker is like a non-smoker picking up smoking. Yeah yeah, I'm a hypocrite but I love you all ;);)

@TheKiwi @MVP0108 Here's my hypocritical reason to vape HAHAHA

MY VIEW IS : YOLO. If you like it, do it. If you think its right for you, do it. If my non-smoking friends wanna try vaping I'd say LAI LAI try vaping, which flavor you want to try? If they wanna pick up analog I'd say for f sakes no no NO, you're going to make the biggest mistake of your life.

If I remember correct the annual tax they get from tobacco is in the ballpark of like 700M...
It's a big money generator, just like the 2 casinos.. That's why anything that can eat into the revenue is deem illegal and needs to be controlled.
