What are your smoker friends reactions to you vaping??

Just curious what their reactions are?
I assume, you guys like me, try to convince them to convert to our world of vaping.

Majority blow me off, one called my ecig "gay", and I have only one that is somewhat curious about trying it out.
I've even offered to buy her a ego starter kit but she refused.

Have you guys been successful in converting anyone to switch over from the dark side?
What comebacks do you guys use to those people are so dismissive and blow off the idea completely?

I bought one e-cig for my GF and she likes it. She still smokes but she also uses the e-cig. I am hoping that over a period of time she will like Vaping as much as I do. Another friend of mine is thinking of buying one. I tell him what I am experiencing with my MVP and he tells me hes going to go out and buy one. Foe the most part people are happy that I have given up analogs after 35 years of smoking them.

Many at first blew it off as a fad/ gimmick. Yep I try to convert but am very reserved about it and I usually wait until they approach me.

Pretty well all my smoking friends are vapers- some continue to vape and others no longer vape but are still smoke free.

I try to be patient/ let my vape experience speak for itself and when asked I explain. Also helps to carry around some spare starter kits. It's really quite pointless to "argue" with someone that's strongly addicted to something and is unwilling to even think about change IMO.

Sticks and stones....maybe it's time your friend crawled out from that cave he's been living in.

The bottom line...if they are truly your friends they should be ecstatically high five-ing your success in quitting analogs regardless of the method used.
Best of Luck.

I get some strange looks sometimes but most of my friends and family are very supportive. In the 50 days that I have been vaping I have converted 4 people at work and my brother-in-law. My partner is happy for me but wants to know when I will stop vaping. I have told her numerous times that my intentions were to stop smoking cigs and I started vaping because I wanted a healthier alternative to getting my nicotine fix.

I don't approach ppl anymore. I figure if/when they want to, they'll ask. I haven't had anyone be ignorant and I have gotten two ppl, GF for one, kits. They were the ciggy look alike 808 batteries and I wish I had my EGO when they converted because they would probably still be using them. GF included. LOL

I think the big thing is the refilling. If you're a heavy smoker, the 808s just don't last long enough and flavor is suspect as well. The whole syringe thing with the CE3 is wierd, but I just do that at home so it doesn't raise eyebrows. Of course the clearomizers that hold 2.5 ml or more are easy and last a while but they just seemed to get hung up on the refilling and if it isn't that, they don't want to keep buying pre-filled.

Then too, we in DE don't have many options for a BM. We are getting one in Newark soon and there's one in Middletown but otherwise you are relegated to the internet or creapy newsstands. We also have a kiosk in the Christiana Mall but those guys have their heads in their rear ends so that too is another issue..

*Sigh* could go on forever but to make a long story longer, you have to want to make the change and not view the minimal effort as a chore. I guess for some it's so much easier to hit the Wawa, piggly wiggly or what have you and get your simple box of smokes.

People I play cards with think they are fine, but most won't switch. My brother came around and no I build all his coils for him. I tried to get my mom to switch but she said it was too much and makes her cough, as well as my older sister.

I tried to explain that it might be a couple of days before they could tolerate it. Their lungs are so messed up that their capacity is screwed up so they think it's harsh, even though the vapor is nothing, especially compared to cig smoke

Most women at my work say they'd rather quit cold turkey. I explained that this is a much safer alternative and they have a better chance making the switch than quitting (even though none of them had)

2 of the women paid for hypno-therapy, well over what it would cost for a top-end setup. They're just dumb
