Right now I'm a student, frantically job hunting, but when I am employed I sling saute pans for a living. Not the sanest life choice, but I'm just messed up enough to enjoy it.
I am a Mechanical Designer for a leading booster pump manufacturer in central FL.
IT Mgr. for one of the largest auto auctions in Northern California. Been in the IT field for 27 years. Man, I'm getting old.
Retired by choice, mine not my hubby's 
We moved to Florida recently because MIL is getting up in age and Hubby's company said he can telecommute from home. So we moved here to be near her just in case. She is 82 and still gets around very well, but we know it is just a matter of time. I am just putting off finding a job. I will probably look for work again in the not too distant future.
I am a self taught bookkeeper. I love to do data entry and general office duties. I also like to figure out ways to make things easier, and let computers and programs do the work, so I don't have to work that hard. I like logic and order. I don't do math well but I'm very accurate when it comes to inputting the figures, just don't ask me to know what they all mean.
I'm also a singer and since moving from Philly to Florida, I haven't found a band yet in this area. I miss my bandmates! Prospects are bleak for the area where we moved. Oh well, I will keep trying.

Mechanical Designer for a SoCal defense contractor, but spent 25 years as an independent contractor, got involved in a bewildering array of projects in the past 41 years. Four years away from retirement ...
Vaping has cured my chronic bronchitis (in the first 3 days) and even though I'm a gadget freak, this forum has kept me from squandering excessive funds on impulse buying ...
Have to admit, the technological aspect of vaping kept me hooked even after the initial novelty wore off, and the ongoing developement in the next few years will be fascinating ...

Yep... I know it needed some repairs, but the final verdict was that there was just too much resistance. My opinion is that the only true, greenhouse free power that can sustain us until we get fusion power working, is nuclear. There just seems to be way too much misinformation and fear. My father worked for Bechtel so I've learned a lot.
Absolutely! Nuclear is the way to go.
Yeah, San Onofre had some serious issues and design flaws from day one. The steam generators were severely flawed, I think it was 13,000 of the 96,000 steam generator tubes were cracked from vibration causing the radiation leak. Not to mention they were about 500 million in the hole from supplying their power grid with alternate electricity. it just wasn't feasible for SCE anymore. they would have needed another 500 mil to get back online safely. They were one of the 40 or so plants we do work for.
