I'm guessing a local dealer will not only be more expensive, they will offer a smaller selection of colors and other options. On the other hand, you can form an impression just by holding one in your hand. You can also have it as soon as the money changes hands. If and when the money comes along, I'm going with Provape directly, but that's just me.

I should have gone directly to Provape as the local B&M near me took my order 1-week ago and after 3 calls to them it still is not in yet. Provape is just upstate from me and I'm sure they would have answered my questions of what the status of my order. They told me "We will give it a few more day and if not in yet we will call them"...BS...so I emailed the owner of the shop this afternoon asking for a track on the order....doh

When you buy cheap and "disposable" you invariably end up buying more often, and buying something less satisfying and of much lower quality. The old adage is "when you pay peanuts you get monkeys".

Paying the cost up front for something of quality that will last a lifetime if taken care of seems to be an alien concept to many lower/middle-class Americans with their now-ingrained Wal-Mart cheap Chinese disposable product buying mentality which often is a result of living paycheck to paycheck.

This is true whether the product is a pair of shoes, a stapler, or a PV.

I see there are dealers who sell the Provari......is there any advantage to buying from one.
Looks like might be one not too long of a drive for me.

If they aren't marking it up, that's a good way to go. Most of my local b&m have a considerable markup... One selling the standard for $269 (without extension cap!)

When using a Kayfun with my ProVari, I get reliable voltage to deliver to my coil, every time. The ProVari is the only mod I would run an RBA on. I think a Semovar will serve just as well, but I haven't used one.

I love my ProVarii, all three of them.

(Please score it, Princess)

Tapped out

The scoring system is largely dependent on the OP's question and, to a lessor degree, the forum it was poted in.

Forum: ProVari
OP's question: "I'm thinking of getting into RBAs, what do you guys use on your ProVari?"
Praetor: "When using a Kayfun with my ProVari..."
Score: .5 - Slight Fanboy. Considering the forum, it is likely to OP has a ProVari. They don't need to be told you have one too.

Forum: APV
OP's question: "I'm thinking of getting into RBAs. The Kayfun looks interesting, but I want to make sure I get a good mod to use it on. What mods do you guys use?"
Praetor: "When using a Kayfun with my ProVari..."
Score: 0 - Not a Fanboy. The answer is relevant to the question.

Forum: General Discussion
OP's question: "I'm thinking of getting into RBAs. Would a Kayfun work on my Vamo?"
Praetor: "When using a Kayfun with my ProVari..."
Score: 4 - Hardcore Fanboy. Stating you have a ProVari is irrelevant to the question. AntiProVarian flaming likely incited.

Forum: Liquids Discussion
Op's question: "I'm getting into DIY. What vendor do you guys think has the best raspberry flavor?"
Praetor: "When using a Kayfun with my ProVari..."
Score: 5.5 - Rabid Fanboy. The answer has no relevance to the question at all. The only reason the score isn't higher is because AntiProVarians don't seem to cruise the Liquids Discussion forum very often.

Forum: New Members
Op's question: "I'm using a Blu, but want to get something better. I have a budget of about $100.00 for everything."
Praetor: "When using a Kayfun with my ProVari..."
Score: 8 - Spectacular Fanboy. ArtiProVarianism riots incited. Thread to be locked in T -9 seconds.

For the record, I did not say I hated Fanboys. I said I find them tiresome. I should have been more specific. I find Fanboy behavior tiresome. Also for the record, I am sincerely sorry for thinking a post was sarcastically witty, when it wasn't.

I apologize for derailing the thread again.
