I came here to see if anyone else was having the problem of vaping more than you smoked analogs and found this topic. My problem is that I never smoked analogs in the house, and initially didn't vape in the house, but that went right out the window within a few weeks. I suspect that's why I'm vaping what seems like more than I smoked. I was a pack a day of ultra-lights, but know that I'm going through much more e-juice than I did initially after purchasing my 510. I bought a combo of 18 mg and 11 mg and the 11 mg just isn't cutting it either. I'm buying some 24 mg to cut into the 11 mg. (A 15 mg bottle lasts me more than a week.)

I still smoke 3 analogs a day, but don't know why, because they taste like crap now. Some days it's one, other days it's four. Could this be because I'm not using high enough mg e-juice?

After a 37 year run of analogs, I'm STILL doing a heckuva lot better than a pack a day and that nasty cough ~~~poof~~~ all gone! I do get an occasional buzz from the analogs now, that I never had before and never knew what a "throat hit" was before vaping. Now that has also gone away. Guess you get used to them.

Started vaping June 6.

Any insights welcome.

Sadly, 36mg still does not keep the crave away... Thinking about picking up some 48 for those "special moments".

64 days analog free now,, been doing the 24mg ...

...During the day it's between zero and 12mg...

...I find 12mg does me well the majority of the time and sometimes go down to ZERO. Every once in awhile I get a bad craving for an analog and hit a few drops of 36mg to calm me down.

18 was too low, 36 is just about right. I may order some 48 and cut it to 40 and see where I'm at with that...

This has been really illuminating for me. Right at 24hrs since I threw this out for consideration. The levels that work, as well as preferences, are all over the board. Different strokes and all.

24mg the largest single category, the majority at this point using levels of 18 or less.

Very encouraging to me as I read the responses, I get the impression that many people DO pay attention to what they are doing with regards to their nicotine intake. So far respondents are not seeking a buzz or a high. Instead they appear to be, by and large, governing their intake in a responsible and thoughtful manner.

I smoked a pack a day of the cheapo little cigars because the price of cigs got to be to much. they were pretty strong. I had been smoking for 28 years. In times of high stress, in the morning and after meals I vape 36mg+. Other than that I vape anywhere between 24mg all the way down to 0mg. Haven't had an analog since I started vaping 25 days ago!

I've been a moderate smoker for the last couple of years. After smoking 1 - 1 1/2 packs of Marlboro Lights for many years, I weaned myself down to 10 - 15 a day. Three weeks ago I saw a spot on TV about e-cigs and decided to try 'em just to see what they where like. I bought a Smoke51 kit from a local tobacco shop and in short order moved over to a 510. Since I've started using a PV I've smoke exactly one analog (tasted terrible). I usually go through a little over one ml of 8mg juice a day. You'd think there wouldn't be that much different between just a few cigarettes a day and that small amount of nicotine liquid but the changes have been quite surprising. I'm breathing so much easier now and I haven't felt this energetic in years. I haven't had the urge to try a stronger liquid since the 8mg works just fine. Oh, and it's so nice to be able to work on my computer or watch TV and vape without having to go out in the weather every hour or so to have a smoke.

My own experiences coupled with the tone of several recent threads has me curious about the level of nicotine each of us requires to stay off of tobacco.

I'm closing in on 5 months of vaping and 4 months of being analog clean.

I started out with 12mg juice. Went up through 18 and 24mg, hit 36mg and tobacco went good-bye!

When I go to use up the remaining juice I have that is less than 36mg I get very antsy after about 1 day. 3 or 4 draws of 36mg and I'm fine.

What level of nicotine do you use to keep tobacco at bay?

I vape 16mg pretty often, and rarely use 24mg... I smoked about 1.5 packs a day of Marlboro Smooths. After vaping exclusively for a little over 24 hours and trying a cigarette I almost lost my lunch :|

I'm pretty surprised how many 36mg users there are. I've been a pack a day smoker for 3 years (yes, I'm only 20), and now I use 16, 18, and occasionally 24mg liquids, just on what's available from my favorite supplier at whatever given time. I really can't tell the difference between any of the doses I've tried though.

Do any of you notice a difference between 16 and 24 milligram liquids?
