i started with 24mg because that was the strongest available to me at the time and I was skeptical that these ecigs wouldnt work. When I got the 24mg juice I was coughing and hated the strong taste but at the same time I knew this strong taste was good enough to potentially keep me off analogs. I dropped to 18 then to 16 then to 12. 12mg is my preferred level of nicotine but I also keep a 6mg in my arsenal because I chain vape and chain vaping 12mg is too strong for me so after about 30minutes of vaping 12mg, I drop it to 6mg for the next hour or so then I rinse and repeat. This to me is the best method to stay off analogs.

Started at 24, went up to 36 and was totally fine at that level but apparently my body wasn't. Was getting terrible mouth ulcers all the time so I finally bit the bullet and reduced back down to 24 and have been fine for 2 weeks now. Hope it lasts !!

I started with 24mg in 2008 when there wasnt much 36mg around and I needed to keep a pack of analogs around even though my pack a day habit was reduced to 8-10 analogs a day. When I found 36mg and altough it took 2 years I was analog free. I continue to vape 36mg because if I go lower I vape too much. I have no desire to go lower than 36mg cuz its right for ME. I didnt start vapeing to stop using nicotine, just to use nicotine with 4,000 less harmful chemicals.

I've been vaping 18 mg since I started a while back. The guy I get my stuff from said I should go up to 24 mg because I was burning out coils too fast, but I found that the throat hit was a little much for me and it didn't taste quite as nice. I'm thinking sometime soon I'll try mixing the two and see if I can't break myself of chain vaping.

I have some 6mg juice, and some 0mg juice, and have been mixing them so I'm probably actually vaping roughly 3mg.

Goal is to reach 0 nic before long. Looking back, I think I could have dropped my nicotine level much faster than I have.

I started at 24, which wasn't enough. I had to get some 30mg to get off the cigs. I didn't need the 30mg for long, but I vaped at 24 for quite a while. When I moved down to 18, I mixed some 18 with the last of my 24 so that I had an in-beween step, then stayed at 18 for months. When I moved to 12, I mixed some 12 with the last of my 18, another in between step.

Looking back, I'm pretty sure that I could have moved down in nic level a lot faster.

I notice that most here have voted 24mg.

I had a theory that the 18mg was not enough for me because of the rate at which nic is absorbed
into the body by various methods.

Some of the information I have read suggests that nic is not as easily absorbed at the same rate or
in the same amount when vaping (as opposed to smoking) due to the properties of the liquids and
the dehydration action they produce.

When I was using 18mg, I found myself getting a bit shaky/nervous and was picking up the eGo
a lot... almost couldn't put it down... similar to a chain smoker.

I tried switching to 24mg and have found I am using less and not picking it up as much and
I feel like I actually get something when I use it. It was like the difference between Ultralights
and Full Flavors.

I am sticking with the 24mg now and it has done wonders... I don't even want a cigarette.

:)
