and i maintain in real life it doesn't make a darn bit of difference....(and a dna20 adjusts in .1 increments not .5). what's on top matters way more than the power source. vape what satisfies you, not anybody else......

At the end of the day the only thing that matters is the smile on the face of the person vaping. All of this is subjective and relative only to experience.

If I am not mistaken the DNA20 is a chip for people who make their own mods, there are some limited mods out there for purchase that are built with it?

I would rather buy something to use and spend my time working on my collection of 60s and 70s gas guzzlers or playing with my computers/video games :)

So someone please tell me how VW is such a gamechanger?

Selective ranges don't display limits. For example, I use my MVP 2 at 9 watts with 3ohm cartomizers. That is 5.2 volts, and the ranges are 3.3-5 volts and 6-9 watts.

Since it is a 6 volt device, I could get in the 12 watt range with my cartos, but most 3-6volt devices have a 15watt range. If I only used RBAs, that would be a little more of a factor, but I rarely build coils at 3ohms. I don't know the provari's short circuit protection, but 2ohms at 6volts is 18watts..so really, not a game changer at all with 6volt devices. I'm really glad the mvp2 is vw though..

I don't know. I haven't touched mine in weeks. I have three Reos in constant rotation, and they perform just as well as my Provari did. Also, 100% made in the USA, and user serviceable so I can fix them myself if I have to.

I will say this though, there was a time that the three Reos were three Provaris. I will never permanently part with my Provaris because they are such indestructible, dependable devices. It just so happens that at this moment I am enjoying my Reos just a bit more.

When I bought them I knew I was getting the best (in terms of dependability, and build quality) device on the market. I could have bought two dozen Vamos with the money I spent on my Provaris, but how many of them would still be working like the day I bought them? I bought my first Provari in April of 2012, and not once have I had to send it in for repair. Not once has it missed a beat after a three foot drop onto concrete. With all of its scratches, and scrapes it still performs like the day I bought it. Am I glad I bought three Provaris, and not two dozen Vamos (or other similar devices)? Without a doubt.

OMG I'm so ashamed. I didn't pay enough for an APV and ignored an opportunity to support my fellow American workers. I have no class. I only look out for myself. I vape at 6.5 or 7.0 watts, not volts even though that gaudy OLED menu will allow me to do either. I should be worried about wearing off that pretty Provari finish instead of going trouble-free with solid stainless steel. Most of all I hate myself because my epicurean taste is not so super keen that I can discern any difference between vapor made with a 33.3 Mz chip and a 800 Mhz chip. I'll admit it, I really get a kick about being promiscuous with batteries. One day it's a petite 18350, that evening it's a tall lanky 18650 and the next day it might be a curvacious 18490 or 18500. Yes, I've done the unthinkable, too. I've actually done two 18350s at once!

Worst of all I'm going to buy another of these Chinese Kalashnikovs as a back-up now that I can get one for $42. The one I'm using now works perfectly well after seven hard months and I'm buying another already!

Don't be a self-hater, and don't be a hater period. Did we somehow hurt your feelings? If so, that was no one's intention.

If the 33.3 hz PV's work for you, GOOD FOR YOU! After all, 7 months is a LONG time for a Chinese manufactured mod... A Provari should only be owned by someone who recognizes what it is and can appreciate a company that stands behind its product with lifetime support.

No reason to be condenscending to others who have a different opinion than yours. Carry on. :vapor:

I've done a bit of research and don't see much of a difference between the provari and most other vv/vw setups. I have the MVP 2 and I love it, but I see everybody on here seems to be all about the provari. Aside from the price I don't see that big of a difference, correct me if I am wrong.

That is their prerogative to feel that way as they own one and probably others as well. If you don't feel that's adequate that's fine as well.

I may eventually get one, time will tell. :)

I have seen a lot of hype about the provari. Although I do not own 1 I will be adding it to my list to buy in the future. I am the type of person that's wants 1 of everything regardless of the price lol. But I have notice that the differences between the provari and other vv/vw mods are very slight when looking at posts from other users.

nothing besides supply and demand. people keep paying it, they keep the price right where it is. out dated, out performed and out numbered now. until they release something else with another ridiculous price tag that's all it is. not a hater, because I actually like them, just wont dish out that cash for it, not worth to me. would like to get a used one for cheap but everyone who sells them got hosed on it when they bought it, so they want their money back when they sell it used

Best warrantee in the vape game. Also for the minimum voltage drop. Awesome customer service, I just got one a few weeks back. I just received an email asking for feedback. I gave them my honest opinion about what is included in the starter kit. I gave them my opinion on the pt2 that's in it. So long story short they're offering my a vivinova free of charge.

you do realize you paid for that warranty right? which is perfectly fine. if your who buys extended warranties on electronics then you probably didnt mind paying the extra $75 that its worth for that warranty. which is cool, lots of people like piece of mind.

The only thing holding me back from pushing add to cart are the add-ons.
$15.00 for an led color $35.00 for a tatroe base.
I can explain the add-on costs.

A basic Provari costs $159, which is the unpainted silver stainless steel finish.

Provape outsources the colored Provari's to another company to apply the carokote finish. This costs Provape $25 for each Provari, so Provape passes on that additional cost on to just those customers who want a colored Provari.

The red LED button/display is the default color. The blue and green LED display costs Provape an additional $15 more from their LED supplier. Again, Provape passes the additional cost on to just those customers who want a blue or green LED.

Provape doesn't make the Tatroe Bases, Tatroe Mods does; Provape buys from them and re-sells them for the same price. Provape makes a battery extension cap for $25. This falls in line with other manufacturers offering add-ons. For example, AltSmoke charges $25 for a Kick extension sleeve for their Silver Bullet mechanical mod.
