The few times I've used odens extreme it just made me sneeze uncontrollably after 15 minutes and then toss the portion. Thunder and random Swedish Match strong portions do seem to "satisfy" longer I'd say.
I was a Oden extreme user when I first got into snus. I've since moved away from the higher caliber snuses as I worked on weening down my consumption. I believe you are correct that the nicotine was not on par with the alkaloids. I felt much more satisfied using General snus than Odens. Maybe it is the cheaper tobacco which is reflected in the cheaper price.
Odens is just about the only snus I can get at the moment .
In general I would agree that 'regular' strength snus give me more minor alkaloid staisfaction . I'm 8-10 mg all the way . However if the minor alkaloids are your bag , I recommend exploring a few nasal snuffs .

I have some oden's extreme portions (I did not know what I was doing) and I can compare them to Thunder's highest test stuff which I loved but I gotta buy more.) On the wrong morning Thunder's can and did make me puke. Once, but yeah, I liked it but had to pay attention.

I usually try to wait until one of the sites is having a sale or giving free cans to stock up on general mint. I don’t know if they can still ship or not but lil brown used to sell some general and they are in the US.

Pikey, I'm with you on the nasal snuff. A number of us were on that stuff for awhile, particularly in the earlier days when I still would get an urge for a cigarette I wanted to snuff out. I few whiffs and that craving disappeared for me, I can honestly say, over 9 years down the road, I can't remember the last time I even thought about smoking a cigarette.

I can’t remember the name of it but there was a rough cut snuff that had a bit of a clove scent to it that was really strong and was my go to for bad cravings. Most of the others were for the scent or the sweet drip of honey bee.
I think in many ways nasal snuff is more like a cigarette habit than oral tobacco . Personally i also find it a more decadent pleasure . A lot of new switchers find the snuff hit disappointing but I think a lot of that is down to developing a snuffing technique and a finding a batch of snuffs that suit your habit .

. There's always the old Snuffhouse forum too for interested folk , that's full of nasal know how .The UK snus thing is getting out of hand Roth. We lost the EU legal challenge to the ban on snus which was bad . Unfortunately Swedish Match also bought V2 Tobacco (Offroad, Thunder etc) to position themselves in a legal EU marketplace . After that plan went SNAFU , my sources of V2 products disappeared overnight . My beloved Snusline went from hundreds of lines in stock to a handful that suited me .
On the legal side , it looks like the UK will end up losing all the perks of EU membership , but we'll still have to bear all the responsibilities . I was hoping to be able to use proper Swedish sites like Snuscentral after Brexit ...but my gut is telling me this is never gonna happen .
The chew bags are basically snus with a bigger grind that can be legally imported and taxed as oral tobacco . I haven't bothered with them myself , but I'm sure they work .They don't seem to make many regular strength chew bags so I'm guessing they aren't as punchy as normal snus .
I really don't expect the situation to improve that much Roth bud . The UK have historically been very proactive against tobacco smugglers , growers and tax evaders. They take that stuff very seriously over here and they're unlikely to change .
For me , it looks like I'm going to have to work on homemade crockpot snus. I have no trouble getting cheap nasal snuff and decent shag cut tobacco as raw materials . An order of mine from Snusline went 'missing' last month , they didn't have any los available for a couple of months so I was buying whatever random whites they had in stock. If my sources are gonna be this sketchy going forward , I'll just have to adapt.

To start out with snuff, Anna, I'd recommend medium grind, moist, in a snuff bullet. It takes getting used to. And strong, dry, and fine snuffs will cause more sneezing.
If it's going up my NOSE it's going up there for EFFECT darn it. Not for "floral flavors."
I am going to have to do some reading it sounds potentially more horrifying (like spraying a bunch off snuff on a patient) I think.

There is nothing discrete about nasal snuff use . It's probably a nonstarter for your work Stols . You might have to switch to the nic pouches if snus still isn't discrete enough for you . In your position I'd probably try using loose snus or a makla as well . I find it generally less 'juicy' in the mouth than portions.
Personally i snuff out of ' tapboxes' off the back of my hand .It's just a little box with a hole and a plug and you pour a pile onto the hand . Some folk pinch , some use dosers like bullets , some curl their forefinger round the tip of their thumb and use the depression as a 'boxcar' .
There is no wrong way but the vital component is not snorting it too far into the nasal cavity . You want it up in the nostrils but not like snorting illicit drugs .
Personally I rarely pinch and bullets don't work for me .

Another oiled snuff , this is a damn good facsimilie of the historic Indian Madras snuff tradition . It's easy to take with a quiet strength. Some find it very strong but I can take this one all day .Beautiful plain flavour .

That's a good idea to check those out.. I have found one form of snus I can use discreetly so I'm gonna stick to that, I think. I kinda need the WTA when I can't have the hand to mouth deal.

I've just about had it with the stuff. I'm not a small engine mechanic kind of guy and I keep having to rip the darn things apart to deal with the ethanol destruction. I just got done tearing a Poulan chainsaw apart because it was running and dying and I new the primer bulb's tubes had disintegrated and the fuel line had to be close. That broke when I pulled off the old fuel filter.
I'm about ready to go with ethanol extraction. Has anyone done the procedure. My understanding is you add as much water to a gallon as the percentage of ethanol is in the gas. Water and ethanol separate to the top. Add some food coloring for effect and drain until the liquid comes out clear. Using high test, you'll still get a decent octane and maybe not be replacing hoses every couple years.

I haven’t heard of that. There are a couple places here that sell non ethanol gas and I use that for the mower. I use true fuel for the snowblower. The engine shop I deal with through work recommended it.
I buy Rec 90 from the local BP. No ethanol for all your small engine needs. Usually about $1 more than regular unleaded.
