Same here in Michigan. Someone forgot to tell Mother Nature that it's May not April anymore. Forecast is calling for cooler weather all week with a warm up on the weekend, but chance of rain everyday thru next week. Gonna have to start working on a Ark pretty soon... :glare:

46 and rainy today, a full 15 degrees below average for May. They are calling for rain all but 1 day this week. A local mower sales place cobbed up a zero turn out front with pontoons under it and stuck a big fan on the back. Not far from the truth. My husband was washing the deck of the push mower doing his mom's yard Saturday. He had to wear knee high rubber boots to walk it. No way she's getting her rider out there for weeks.....after it stops raining.

I’ve got a small rant. We are staying at a hotel for my daughter’s graduation. It was never mentioned that not only is there no smoking in the rooms or lobby but not even on the premises and there are signs that threaten a $350 fine. It really ...... me off. It’s a Days Inn and they are charging $120 a night for what should be a $80 room. It’s not that nice. I’ve got a feeling that they jacked the price since they knew it was graduation weekend.

That's some BS right there. No smoking in the rooms is pretty standard, but it's not a hospital. No smoking on the premises is too much. On the flip side, I've always vaped in the rooms and never gotten called on it. Good for me, bad for the wife haha.

It's always irritating paying over 70-80 for a "I'm not driving home tonight" type room at your Days Inn's or Holiday Inn's. You think they'd make their money due to event volume without raising the rates, but they always gotta gouge you. Like how gas always mysteriously goes up 50 cents a gallon the Thursday before a holiday weekend.

There's a resort in Traverse City my wife and I have stayed at a few times. During the summer/holiday weekends the suite rooms in the tower are over $300+ a night, but we'll go in the middle of November and get a lake view king suite with a hot tub/balcony for under $100. It's a 500+ room building with 3 on site restaurants, 2 bars, a spa, gym/pool, a little shopping mall type area, and 3 golf courses. They slash the rates on the everything to keep their people busy when there's only 50 people there. I'll sit at the bar drinking $2 pints chatting with the other guys waiting for their wives to get out of there $80 full treatment spa day.

I did vape in the room. I thought my wife might have brought the one I bought her but she didn’t. She just hasn’t given vaping a real chance yet. I went through 6 portions of mint yesterday but was still craving a vape by the end of the day. Graduation was really long and my back and .... were aching by the end of it. I had cereal in the morning and a couple granola bars from then until that night when we went to eat.

Yeah, they jacked up the room rates. You should see what the do on a football weekend in State College. You can't get a room for a night, everything is a two day, sometimes a three day minimum. It's been nearly twenty years since I've heard the stories but a room you could get for $30 to $50 on a none event weekend during the summer became a $259 a night, two day minimum game weekend and most were reserved year after year.

I always thought they were crazy. I either camped out about 45 minutes from the stadium or rented a room at an old hotel about the same distance away. It was only around $40 a night there and they had great breakfasts cheap.

I’ll bet you’re right. I had to go mow the jungle again tonight. I hadn’t mowed since Tuesday and it’s still raining a lot here. About every three or four days has been necessary with all the rain. There’s a chance of rain every day this week. I’m getting pretty tired of it.

Seems to be the norm with hotel rooms. We try to get over to Detroit during the winter to catch a Red Wings game and I do a check before we go to see what the difference is between game weekends and none game weekends. It's always about $50 more for weekends when the Wings are playing, especially for hotels close to the arena. But we suck it up because the cost of getting a cab for a cheaper, father away hotel makes it a wash. Gas prices is the one that really grinds my gears. No raise on barrels prices, no refinery shut down, but we'll still jack the prices up for a holiday weekend. Good way to promote tourism in our fine state, should be a crime. Actually our gas prices should be a crime anyway you look at it. Kick those caribou out of the way in Alaska and dig a hole, we'd have plenty of our own crude to refine...

I got this email from my insurance company this morning saying " Vaping isn't the answer. Quit for life is." What a bunch of crap!
I suppose that means they'll rate you higher as long as you have nicotine in your body. Think about it, it's to their advantage to rate you higher with much lower risk. It's a win/won for the insurance companies.

Weirdest thing. I took the Spyder in for inspection, oil and lube and to get the seat latch adjusted. The service guy asked if my cell number was what they had on record, I said yes. Then he asked if my home phone was 610...... I said no, I've never had a 610 number and asked where they might have gotten that from. Then he said do you still live at and gave me an Allentown address. I said something is definitely wrong.

The name he gave me had a "D" middle name, mine is "R". We both have 2015 Spyder RTs and after searching him on google, it turns out he's one year younger than I. When you have a 12 letter last name you don't expect to run into three people living within about 20 miles of each other, but I've managed to find two others and I wasn't even looking, we somehow ended up going to the same stores, just at different times.

I’m not concerned. I’ve been making my own liquid for some time and the flavors used for mixing are also sold for making food so I think it’d be really hard for them to regulate them. Not to mention, I’ve got enough flavors now that I probably wouldn’t have to buy anything for ten years or more. I’ve also got 15-20 years worth of 100mg nic too.
