This being older has so many negatives. Another one fell yesterday and again younger than I. At least Coronavirus didn't get him, just dropped over at his kitchen sink.

I have my attorney coming by on Monday. She's going to drop my will in my mailbox, I'll have a card table and chair set up, sign the new will and then my next door neighbor will sign it and I'll put it back in the mailbox. She'll then retrieve it, take it to her notary who is at home and get the notary work done.

This is what life in PA is like these days. Luckily, my lawyer only lives about a mile from me which I didn't know when I originally went to her. Her office is about twenty miles away but closed by order of the governor.

Have been looking for hand sanitizer since the outbreak. I was fortunate enough to have a full bottle of 90% alc so I used that and VG and made up my own.

Went to get groceries today and there was hand sanitizer in a fifth liquor bottle. We have a local distiller that produces vodka and gin among other liquors. Apparently with liquor stores shut down in PA, they went intro the sanitizer business as well.

LOL, I'm a proverbial non-drinker at this point. It's been nearly a month since I touched any alcohol except on my hands. Now once it gets a bit warmer at the end of the day, I may go next door and sit on his deck sipping some scotch while h drinks Jamison but it will be with a 10 foot gap between us.

Meant to ask, has that fella returned to work. I'm friends with Kevin Slaten who has a radio show out of St Louis, don't know if you know of him. He is laid up right now with Coronavirus.

Well, I am officially on furlough starting Monday. Got the call from my boss yesterday. He wasn't very happy but it wasn't his choice. So I'll ride out my vacation time for the next month still getting a check but if this crap lasts past April I'll become a ward of our great unemployment department. Not a great feeling but not a death blow either. With savings and the meager offering from the state I can survive hopefully until this blows over and they bring me back. Might have to cut some costs here and there but I'll still keep the roof over our heads and food on the table. Good thing is the wife's vehicle needs a new power steering pump and the deck needs to be sanded and stained so I'll have plenty of time for those and any other projects I've been blowing off. Michigan has canceled school for the year so I also have a couple of bored teenagers to lend a hand when I can get them out of the fridge and off their phones.

Rebel, that's too bad but it's good what the feds are doing with the unemployment. On top of the max for what your state allows, you can get an additional $600 per week if needed. My oldest daughter got laid off of both of her part time jobs and had to file. She wasn't making that much to begin with so she's not getting the max or anything but it's enough to keep her going.

As far as I know we will continue to work through the epidemic as long as no one here gets it and we are quarantined. I work most of the day by myself so it's almost like being quarantined anyway. My wife has started to freak out a little bit. I told her weeks ago to stock up on groceries so she doesn't have to go as often but really hasn't. She was complaining that she needs to go to three stores so I told her to make a list and just tell me which ones she wants me to go to. I don't want to catch it but I'm not as afraid of it as she is. If we need groceries or whatever then I'll go.

NY's unemployment is a disaster. I started off working from home on the computer for a day and a half then they shut the plant down. Took me a week to complete phase 1 on the phone and another 4 days to speak to a rep and complete it. A system that usually handles 50,000 calls a week is getting 1.2 million a day. The website continually crashes and you can't finish anything. The reps they brought in are from other departments and have no idea what to ask or do or how to use the computer program. I got cut off before they took the info on all 3 of my jobs.

It is indeed sad. My oldest daughter was lucky enough to apply before the number of applicants shot thru the roof. Both of her part time jobs laid off pretty early. My sister just got laid off a week ago. She's not very computer savvy so I don't know how she did applying online. I had mentioned a little over a week ago about one of our drivers telling a customer that he was sick and might have the virus when he in fact did not. Anyway, he's been off sick for the past week and a half and showed up before I came in to work today. My boss told him we were slow and no longer needed him. This guy was a horrible worker and constantly lied. I hate to see anyone lose their job but I really won't miss him being here. He screwed me over several times on equipment he was supposed to deliver to customers and conveniently forgot to take.

. Let's just hope this economy doesn't eat a crap sandwich and drag out into fall.

    May be too late.

I am so glad the treatment is being discussed, if I were hospitalized I would demand it until I could not talk.

Yes there is a clinical trial happening here, but we already know it WORKS.
I should so go get some from my PCP (the new one) he's about dopey enough to prescribe what I ask although I am also fairly certain he knows NOTHING about it.

That and more snus. I plan to live, darn it I need to order early and often.

I placed an order with snuscentral today and saw that they are running some deal where you can get $20 off of $200.
Got that on the order I did about a month ago, think I mentioned it, really helped on the shipping, and it came in 2 days as normal (at that time).

I didn’t make it to $200. I would have if they hadn’t been sold out of general mint still. I hope it comes back before I run low.
Yea I made the $200 easy as I ordered 10 rolls. Only one I wanted they didn't have was the Jakobsson Melon Slim, so I got the regular melon instead. Not being able to purchase locally, (not that I would want to with all the tax Florida charges, a friend on the board told me in his area it is over $8 a can) I had to stock up and should be good till the end of the year.

Actually I'm kind of lucky that I'm using PTO first. Gives me a month to wait out all the people currently struggling with the unemployment process here in Michigan. Hopefully by the time I need to apply it'll have settled down and I can breeze through it. Highly doubt that but one can wish. Weather is going to take a turn towards the cold here later this week. They're talking a chance of snow which is just what we need when you're stuck at home with nothing to do. Guess I'll make a snowman. Got together with some friends over the weekend online to play some poker. One of them found an poker app that allows them to create tables so friends can play together and chat. I had a lot of fun catching up and ended up wining the tourney bringing home $100 in the process. Gonna do it again this weekend. Power steering pump replacement went as planned except that by some weird luck the body control module in the truck decided to take a crap at the same time. After I replaced the pump it wouldn't start. Just had some random lights on the dash, some of the power stuff worked, but no ignition. Took some time searching the web but I found people who had similar problems. So I have a new one on order and I'll replace the bad one when it arrives. If it ain't one thing, it's another...

You can keep the snow Rebel. We're warming up nicely. It's out of the ordinary but we are almost 80 today and tomorrow then back to the normal 50-60's. My work has really slowed down which is going to make for a pretty crappy commission come the beginning of May. Oh well, it's stuff like this why we save for right?

I got an email from ups that my snus order might be delayed. I got this message

We've submitted documentation to a Government agency and are awaiting a response
That happens every time I order (sometimes twice like my order in March), but it just trucks along and gets approved (got it in two days). I have found if it goes through Philadelphia, PA first, I have no problems, the only problem I have had is when it went first to Louisville, KY, that took almost a week extra. At this point I would not worry...
