Splitting Wood. Yeah, so glad no one has ALLOWED let alone ASKED me to do that yet. I bet I could. The husband SEVERELY underestimated my ability to burn down over an acre of weeds in Tucson and it consisted of "Fire? Yes? Water? Yes? Lemme test the wind..... Lemme test the hose. Okay. Go away now. Come back later."

So he watched me for like 45 minutes from the back window then let me have at it. My joy did not diminish as my strength waned, that is for sure.

It took a few days recovery time. But it was so fun. If you are a pyro it is good to know how fire works, safer for everyone. I transmitted it via my son who lit fireworks every year passing the torch to my little nephew. He's smart, he will be fine.

LOL I am gonna surprise someone with a chainsaw someday.

That sounds bad but it's not what I mean, exactly.

@hittman, for what it's worth don't do even ONE video review. Those people are like either masochists, incompetents, with the occasional one that does it well. I am the first two I can't finish but I can't give up all that TIME IT SUCKS. Doing something evens sorta new on camera while talking is like super not my forte. OMG.

Don't worry, I have no plan of ever doing video reviews. I have no idea how to do video editing and without it then the video would be a hot mess.

Hitt, you've become a world class vaping reviewer. I'll know where to go if vaping equipment gets hard to find. lol Speaking of which, my phlegm situation is much , much better. No more wheezing and sleeping solid during the night. The cilia aren't completely healed but everything is 80% better. I take a puff or two once in a while just because I miss the flavors.

Do you think it's the flavors causing it or are you using a high percentage of VG in your liquids. I know higher vg can cause the phlegm issue. I hear some people talk about vaping 20-30ml of liquid a day at 2-3mg strength. I don't know how they do it. I use around 3ml a day along with snus but I use 12mg in most tanks and 6mg in high output devices. It's mostly 12mg though. I would think that using high amounts of liquid a day would create much more of a phlegm issue.

Hitt, I'm thinking it's the VG, mostly 50/50, 60/40. Now normally, I was doing only, maybe, 2-3 ml every couple days but since the Covid thing I've had three different Nords I've been using and refilling pretty regular. I'd have them sitting by my laptop and hitting it more like I smoked than how I was vaping. It was definitely hitting the habit area rather than once in a while thing.

It's nearly cleared up now. No more wheezing and very little phlegm. I am back to just having a hit or two every once in awhile so it's all good.

I actually pulled out some General White last week. I'd been pretty much Mint only for months. I liked the change. I met a gal on FB from Sweden way back at the start of Covid when my attention was drawn to Sweden and their approach in dealing with it.

She took exception to my depiction of what they had done but after discussion we ended on the same page. Anyway, she must have followed me into a PA County page I'm part of and we got into another discussion earlier this week as they're seeing an explosion in cases now.

After responding to her post, I brought up, as an OT, my love of Swedish snus and she responded saying her husband used snus, General and Grov.

I didn’t have any wheezing but do notice phlegm after a long vaping session. I know I vape way more than you. I mix fairly high vg so that definitely could be it.

It’s funny you mentioned the nord. Vaporesso sent me a pm40 for review and a nord 2 to do a comparison review. I definitely like the pm40 better.

Hey Hitt, when you do the compare let me know, interested.

All that hard work on the wood is now in play. I woke up the last two days of Oct at 57 degrees. Didn't mind it while under covers but it was chippy once up. The bathroom has a heater in the unit on the ceiling so at least the one bath was warm after a bit.

I wanted to get to Nov before starting to burn and I succeeded exactly on the first. Oops, three days sub 60 counting the first but it was up to 62 fairly quickly and that was comfortable for me. 69 right now and that feels way too warm. It won't be that high in the dead days of February.

Hitt, that pretty well convinced me to move from the new Nords just on the pod description. The non-interchangeable coils in the pods is new so I guess they're selling the coils and pods as a single unit? The old Nords you only needed to replace the Pod if it leaked over time and I haven't had to replace a pod yet.

I’m going in late today since I have a dental cleaning first thing this morning.

I hope you have better luck than I have. I was eating a soft taco tonight and I felt that funny feeling in my mouth that I'm now all too familiar with, broken tooth.

That will be number five (or six). For someone that always took care of my teeth, this is pretty discouraging.

The last time I went for a cleaning, I had a small chip on the bottom of one of my front teeth. It wasn’t really visible but felt weird. I asked the dentist about it and he did a small filling on the spot. That’s the first work I’ve had done in four years. This time went good with no issues except the hygienist got a little too aggressive and my gums were sore a couple days.

I had a really strange realization today. I've lived here over 24 years now. The road that I turn onto to get on my road I've traveled thousands of times. You go down a long hill and, at the bottom, there's a pond off to the left, then the road rises for close to a mile before my road.

I had gone to get dog bones this morning and on coming home, I took a route that I might have taken maybe a hundred times never thinking much about it. I was on one of my bikes on a nice "Spring" type morning just cruising home.

The first thing that started me thinking was a little country bar that I'd had dinner a few times, but I didn't realize why it woke something in me. I was approaching this little whistle stop town soon after the bar and on the left is a commercial trucking business that looks different than it used to and Dorn Trucking hit me (no longer the same owner).

As I hit the town it hit me. My dad, when I was maybe 7 or 8, had taken me to that pond I've past thousands of times. I could remember every detail including the fact that we didn't catch anything. We only went there that one time after dad got home from work.

What I couldn't remember was the turnpike that you cross before you hit that road. When I got home I immediately got on the net and the turnpike was built a few years after the fishing trip. That was at least 65 years ago, probably a bit more.

Hitt, lol, if it was such a good memory, it wouldn't have taken nearly a quarter century to remember it. My "good" memories were mostly bad stuff like falling out of my dad's car and throwing up on the charter bus going to see Ringling Brothers in Madison Square Garden, both happening in those younger years. Also not closing the screen door on my Aunt's enclosed porch and having her dog killed by a truck. I can still see that dog running up the 8 foot high hill to the street and chase the truck. He must have caught it nearly a quarter mile later and run over. My dad gave her that dog after her cocker spaniel was killed by a local farmer who thought it was the one killing his chickens. She was on vacation and brought the dog from NJ to our home in PA for dad to take care of. Those memories from my youth are crystal clear and never going away I expect.

Anyway on a more pleasant note, my Japanese Maple has turned red for the first time in three years. Hope that doesn't mean we'll have a vicious winter. It's 75 right now.

Memory is a strange thing. Similarly, I remember some "bad" things crystal clear and others I've totally forgotten until someone who remembers brings it up.

I don't think I mentioned it here, but my wife and I's dog of almost 15 years had a stroke about a month ago and wasn't able to move anything but her head and neck. We sadly had her put to sleep and the house has been pretty quiet since. We looked at rescues and being so close to Flint, the vast majority of dogs available nearby were pit bulls that our township doesn't allow.

We found out my sister-in-law's sister-in-law's father breeds AKC Labs as a side gig and had an accidental breed so he was letting the pups go half off. We met the pups last week and of 3 not yet spoken for a yellow male pup was absolutely obsessed with with my wife and I. He was super outgoing with the puppy kisses and eventually yawned and fell asleep in my arms where the 2 chocolate pups were more skittish. The breeder was kinda bummed that we picked the yellow pup as he was kinda hoping to keep him since he was unusually friendly.

It was nice being able to see the parents, mom was a super chill 80lb chocolate and dad was a 120lb monster yellow that came to the door to see what was up, accepted some pets then went back to sleep. He breeds hunting/working labs separate from couch potatoes, and half off a couch potato ended up being the same as adoption fees so I don't feel too bad about getting a purebred.

Hopefully this mild weather holds out for housebreaking. It baffles me on how people do it with Christmas puppies.

Sorry to hear you lost your dog recently Waho. Our Shiba is eight right now and I think she has a lot of good years left. She has had problems on and off with her back legs but is doing good right now. You should post a picture when you get the new puppy. I'd love to see it. We lost our cat a couple years ago and I thought my wife would want another one but she hasn't. I really don't care one way or the other.

That's how I feel about another kid. Oh I'd do it... I don't have to....

I am so lying. I am at the age where every egg tells me its name and primary function, you know, "I am Kristin and I am born to be the politician that takes us back from the brink of extinction."

I mean that one, you let go, I mean that is HELL of responsibility. But, "I am Derrick, the heart-throbbing new replacement to a generation of teens, you will never have to clean another toilet in your retirement if all goes to plan."

Fortunately the husband feels QUITE the reverse. I mean I do have an IUD but it is super easy to get those pulled. I have a note in on mine to like, turn me away, call the psychiatrist and return in 3 days for "the efforts of being a parent" but really.... there are Planned Parenthoods all OVER these days. Fortunately, I have enough chaos in my life to not sweat it currently. LOL.

Even a hamster might push me over the edge.
