This thread has been too quiet. Surely there must be more people out there using snus besides us. I hadn't used any in a long time but got a can of Göteborgs Rapé and am enjoying a portion of it here and there. I actually finished one can of the 77 nicotine pouches. The flavors are kind of like candy but a nice break for here and there.

The problem with experimenting with different snus is that you have to order a bunch of single cans when you place an order and they're usually pretty expensive. It's not like the local convenience store has rows and rows of variety. Heck, I bought a can for my neighbor and wanted to get original but they only carried the white. Probably better for long term storage anyway, but still. The other thing I was shocked by, it cost $7.

I liked when I started because the snus was cheap and you could find deals on buying a grab bag of different cans, usually near expire. I don't know if they even offer that anymore. I'm just fixed so much on Mint that, if I open a can of something else, it takes me weeks to finish it.

I haven’t looked in a while but snuscentral used to have the grab bags.

I miss GetSnus from when I started. It was $5 for shipping and they had a pretty good variety. I used to order all the time from them. Northerner bought them out and now they carry very few snus. Seems like they are focusing on nic pouches and dip.

Yeah Hitt, the good ole days.

Back then everything was new to me and always had half a dozen different cans open trying different things. When I started they only had mini mint. Regular mint came out shortly after that.

Glad they did, I live on the Mint now.

What a couple weeks. My gf has a 72 year old Viet Nam purple heart friend that is also the "friend"/landlord of her sister. Her sister and her sister's husband have been taking advantage of him badly. They pay him rent, at least $500 a month less than market value for a house in this area and he pays ALL their house bills- electric, water and sewer, repairs, taxes, heat AND cable bill! I'm trying to get to a bottom line on what he's actually making on the deal but it isn't much. In addition, he had a will drawn up recently and she's to inherit the property and inherit an annuity that he never takes any money out of that's worth about $150k today. Now she's pushing him to spend his dwindling bank account to make improvements to the house!

What's sad is he has diminishing mental capacity and had lost complete understanding of how to find out where he stands on anything. I finally got roped into trying to work thru his financial issues and I'm finding out the details of the mess. He spent yesterday here, spent the night and we worked on things for almost 8 hours. He was in tears at the end and we still have a while to go but I at least was able to get his taxes filed after he left and we're close to getting him under control again. I realized how blessed I was never getting sent to Nam when I was in and that I still have my faculties being two years older.

    Rant over.

That’s great you’re helping him. It sounds like they would have left him penniless.

Dam, hell of a storm rolled through this evening. Golf ball size hail, with the roar that sounded like a tornado, but I don't think it was as the wind was straight line west to east. Ended up with 2 broken windows on the front of my office next door which faces west. I'm sure the car and trucks have damage, but have to wait until tomorrow to see how bad they are. I have lived here over 30 years and never seen hail that bad, sometimes pea size, but that's all. Guess tomorrow I will see how bad the damage is going to be.

Sorry about the bad luck. Hopefully it’s not too bad.

They were bigger, but once I was able to go out they were already melting as the temperature was in the 70's.

    That is big for hail.
There were reports of Baseball Size in some areas. I didn't see any that big, but golf ball or a little bigger. Normally here in Florida when we get hail, which is not often, it is pea size, and melts as soon as it is hitting, no accumulation. When I opened the garage door to go pick up the trash can, it was piled up against it over 2" thick. Called to get on the waiting list to get the windows fixed, girl said the phone has not stopped ringing all day. Still have to get a roofer to check out my home & office roofs to see if there is damage there. Sometimes mother nature throws you an unexpected curve ball.

In 20 years at our house we've only gotten hail damage once which damaged the roof but nothing else.

Wow on the hail. Like Hitt, we've had pea sized hail but nothing like that. No Va was different. The house down there got hit so bad that the roof, which was only replaced a few years ago, had to be done again. It is metal but the house across the street is shingle and that one was also destroyed.

I was talking to some customers 5 miles north of me today, they were saying baseball size. This is a mobile home park of around 600 homes, I didn't see any that were not damaged, some major damaged. This was really a fluke storm as I have lived withen 30 miles of here all my life and Never seen anything over pea size. Still have not gotten my roofs inspected, but it is on my list of things to do.

My wife's friend had a son pass away so she grabbed a flight last minute and went to support her friend. Two days before she came home the freezer stopped cooling. I watched some videos on doing repairs and took a look at it. I'm not sure exactly what's going on with it but the refrigerator side is cooling some but had to move all the freezer stuff into my nic freezer and my daughter's old dorm fridge/freezer in the basement until we can get a new one. I think that the freon may have leaked or something. According to the videos I watched, the compressor seems to be working and the fan is running on the bottom. We went last night and were able to find one in stock that we liked and it's supposed to be delivered Tuesday. This one is about 11 years old so we got decent life out of it considering how newer ones don't seem to last that long like they did years ago.

Gawd, I don't kow how old mine is at this point. I got it "free" with a meat/fish purchase years ago. The guy would show up once or twice a year but it's been a couple years now that I saw the truck and there have been three or four different salesmen in the time I've had it. The top rusted pretty bad so last year I scrapped off all the loose stuff, treated it with a rust preventative and used appliance paint to spray it. It looked so good I thought I might spray the sides so it matched and then thought better of it figuring it could die at any time after all these years.

We didn’t get anything fancy and it was still 1750. Just a regular side by side. We paid 1100 for the last one but that was many years ago. After past experience with fridges and washers and dryers, we did get the extended warranty.
