This is what I totally dislike about the FDA-

"The available evidence does not demonstrate significant youth initiation of these products, and evidence submitted by the company also found low levels of intentions to buy the product among non-users of tobacco (including young adults) and, importantly, found that the inclusion of the modified risk claim did not affect these intentions.

Why is it that a product not intended for youth and, in most cases illegal for youth to buy or use, is that part of the approval process. Does the FDA consider who might abuse pharma products the may approve and, if they find youth doing so, do they remove them from the market?

A little update on the insurance rebate I mentioned before. My boss changed his mind and now is going to charge back the initial amount we received and give us a check for the total amount. I don't know if he talked to the accountant or what but its not like him to admit fault.

Okay, a little advice on ice makers since I'm close to being an expert on these things. If you find that the feeder tube is frozen, either unload your entire refrigerator freezer and let it thaw or shut off the ice maker pull out the fridge, disconnect the feeder tube where it enters the freezer and pull the feeder tube out of the freezer. Thaw it out under warm water, replace and you're done.

What a project. I got the new inlet valve for $25, installed it and nothing. Last night I was ready to take the new part out, send it back and just manually feed water into the mold to keep the icemaker running. Then it hit me that it had to be something else and I removed the tube completely.

The tube looked open inside the freezer but the blockage was between the inside wall of the freezer and the outside. It's running like a champ now. I'm pretty sure the original ice maker unit was bad, it was making strange noises before everything stopped, but I'm pretty sure the valve I replaced was just fine. It just wasn't worth the hassle to take everything apart after all the time that had passed.

Congrats on completing the repair. What time can I expect you over to fix mine?

Hitt, I specialize in water input not cube dispensing. My hand does that normally but my dispenser does work. What type fridge do you have?

It’s a whirlpool wsf26c3efx01 I think. I’m not sure about the last two numbers. It’s a whirlpool gold with the maker and dispenser built into the freezer door.

Did you enter the model number correctly? Anyway, wsf26c3efx01 appears to be wsf26c3exf01.

Here's something to look at if you don't here a click when you push in the trigger asking for ice.

That one looks different from mine. I forgot to look at the model number last night. My phone screen quit working yesterday while out on a service call so I had to spend an hour and a half at the phone repair shop last night after work to get a new screen installed. I was wiped by the time I got home and didn't think to look for it.

40 days and the strike is officially done. I volunteered for work today, but after seeing how few showed up for day shift they cancelled it. Got the weekend off at least!

Congratulations! Did the union get most of what they wanted?

We never get everything, but we all got something. Temps got a pathway to seniority and paid vacation days, things I didn't have in my 3 years as a temp.

Big things for me specifically are no healthcare premium increases, a couple of 4% of gross bonuses, and $2.44/hr worth of raises over the next few years.

The big news now is some guys are punching in and immediately getting walked to labor relations and fired for social media posts during the strike. They'll be grievances filed and they'll be back fairly quickly I'd assume, but still stressful for them I imagine.

Darn, I thought I posted something a couple days ago but apparently I wrote it and never did the post. lol Senior moments are becoming more frequent. Anyway, congrats Waho, it must be nice to be back getting a paycheck.

Hitt, that HOW-TO: Whirlpool Refrigerator WSF26C3EXF01 Ice maker won't dispense ice link should give you some possible help before you spend bucks to fix. A number of folks posted what worked for them.

I'm in the process of "fixing" the house. My live in spent about three months painting her sister's new apartment. When finished, she decided "we" should do mine. I was willing to wait until I was ash but it sounds like she's willing to clean out all the crap she's accumulated so I bought into it.

She's doing most of the painting, I'm doing all the fixing. She got to the hallway where the washer/dryer is andI found that for 36 years the dryer was just vented into the attic. I never thought about it but I get why they did that (distance to vent outside). It's just that it really wasn't a real safe technique. lol

I did some googling (generic google, I actually use DuckDuckGo) and
found BetterVent, a filtered indoor venting system.

It looked like the best alternative and it definitely is. Living in the NE, the heat it generates in the fall/winter is well worth it. Summer will require a fan to dissipate the heat but I have a feeling the dryer will run a lot more efficiently.

It sits right above the dryer and has a dual filtration system. The first screen is similar to the lint filter screen in the dryer and the second is like the filter on an oil burner. They suggest cleaning every four or five cycles and replacing as needed.

All in all it was a great find.

Hello all, it looks like I am joining another thread on ECF. Since I am out and about at times and with people that don't like me vaping, I have decided to try Snus after hearing others talk about it in some of the other threads (Anna);). I went to my local 7Eleven and picked up a tin of coffee-flavored 6mg ZEN. It appears that it is a bit strong as it gave me the jitters. So the next time I was there getting a Dr. Pepper Icey, I got the 3mg. I am a coffee person and the coffee-flavored is perfect for me. The 3mg seems to be doing the trick for me, now to just wait and see. I'm sure there will be times that I will need the 6mg, i.e. driving to the local range with my neighbor. So like all the good things in life, I am here to learn. Thanks for having me.

Hi Diver, welcome across the tracks!

Unless there's another product, I believe it's Zyn pouches and they advertise as smoke free, spit free and tobacco free products. I've never tried them but they would be different than snus.

As Hitt stated, if you can find someone that carries general, pick some up as a comparison. I know Hitt and I have a preference for their Mint but others like the tobacco flavored. Here's the link to their finder. I haven't used it lately but in the past you had to check if they actually still carried it.

the zen were just nicotine pouches

Well, this shows my ignorance of Snus. Thanks, guys, what I have is ZYN nicotine pouches and not Snus. I used the finder and see that General is available at the 7Eleven where I got the ZYN. Gee, it looks like I will have to go get another DP Icey and pick up a tin of General tomorrow. The reason I got the ZYN was that it came in coffee flavor. Live and learn, however, nothing will go to waste.
