Hitt, hopefully the toothpaste was something you like. lol I've had good luck with all my orders.

As far as the CC, either you were responding to someone else's issue (which I believe as I seem to remember someone posting recently) or you remember a few years back. I had 2 CCs and my debit card hit before this but the last one was a couple years back and I think this CC card lasted nearly three years. It is a pain to get everything I auto pay on it fixed though. I do maintain a list polus I check my last three months to see if I added anything.

Funny Waho, I'm watching mu UPS truck bounce around my twp as we speak on their app. He was closer 4 stops ago. I have to go to the grocery store and he's delivering either cat snacks or a cooler for my laptop to sit on, possibly both and neither of which I want to get wet with rain expected.

Don't know how well they pack the trucks in your area but I came home a couple weeks ago with the truck parked in front of my lane. He must have seen me and popped out grumbling about the packing.

He finally found it and came out talking about how they never pack based on a delivery schedule. Your guy might not have been able to find the package an used an excuse for lack of delivery.

I've had a number of UPS deliveries scheduled then altered to the next day or two days later, including this one. Darn, the trucks going further away.

Funny epilogue. I watched him move further from the house and decided I couldn't wait any longer and went to the store. On the way home, the UPS driver was coming off a side road about a mile from my house. I thought about stopping and getting the package wen he pulled into one of the houses but figured he'd be to my place in a couple minutes.

Stayed at the end of my lane for five and when he didn't show I figured I better put the groceries in the house and the freezer stuff away. When he still hadn't showed up, I loaded the tracking program and watched him go all around my house, past my house, out another road close to where I spotted him and then up to Ridge Rd, a main road that convinced me he just wasn't dropping anything off.

Then about 45 minutes later he was heading back my way and it took another half hour to finally get to my place. It was over 4 hours within a 3 to 4 mile rural area to finally reach me. The most bizarre route I ever saw.

The UPS must have some computer algorithm making up these routes that's gained self awareness and hates humanity. I live two houses down a side street off a main road and have watched the driver zoom past the intersection seconds from my house multiple times and making the delivery 5-6 hours later.

I do remember seeing a TV show, Mythbusters perhaps, that was testing delivery routes. It was in New York City I think where traffic is nuts so the delivery routes are calculated making only right turns. If I'm remembering correctly, the route using left turns was significantly less mileage but ended up taking way more time and fuel just idling in left turn lanes. That doesn't explain rural or suburban routes, and even Flint traffic isn't that bad during rush hours.

Year old epilogue, last year when I took the live in to the airport, I couldn't find my new glasses at 3 AM in the morning. You might remember the story. The day before I was moving rounds around and set them on top of my SUV. Thought I must have lost them foing from my house to the airport.

One year later, I took a shower this AM and was coming thru the bedroom and, on the bureau, there sat a pair of glasses that looked like the ones I thought I had lost. Put them on and, yup, there they were. $135 later I now have two identical pair of glasses.

My wife calls me at work yesterday and says the basement carpet is wet. This is her common complaint because it always feels cold and therefore damp. Except this time she tore a bunch of it up claiming there was mold on it.

I come home, carpet is dry and the "mold" is circular splotches in front of where the previous owners had their sofa which indicates beverage spills.

This is unsurprising as right as they finished the kitchen remodel she started talking about redoing the basement and I guess she got tired of waiting and started early.

We have to move my youngest to her new apartment Saturday to go back to college. The apartment is staggering move in times and we have from 9:30 to 10:30 to move her in. The thing that sucks is it's about three hours and twenty minutes to drive there so we'll have to leave around 6:00. It's a little early for me but my wife will probably sleep the whole way there. They don't want roommates moving in at the same time due to covid and we have to wear masks while moving in.

Waho, that gave me a belly laugh. I guess you've now have a project. Hopefully it's not decking. My oldest deck needs new decking. I replaced a few boards a couple years ago but it now is totally unsafe.

I looked for decking a couple moths ago but there was no supply at HD so while the gf was in Washington, I called another lumber yard and found it was still not available. I guess a lot of people not working ate up supplies plus shut downs.

I'm with you Hitt although mine is kinda finished. I put down some indoor outdoor in the front section where the double sliding doors are and brought in a pool table. Like most, it has become a place to pile stuff at the moment. I have a pellet stove also.

Hitt that sounds like no fun at all.

It’s not fun but still better than moving into the dorm. My oldest stayed in the dorm for three years. I always hated the overcrowding and hustle bustle of moving to the dorm. If they don’t raise the rent much, she could possibly spend her last three years there and I wouldn’t have to move her again until she graduates. That would be nice.

An hour to move in seems insane, especially if you're moving furniture.

As my wife continued pulling up carpet, she said there was evidence of "massive repeated water damage" under/on the carpet. More circular splotches indicating beverage spills or pet accidents and a trail of sand/grit from the walk out door to the stairs is just evidence of the previous owners wearing shoes and tracking dirt across it.

Good thing I didn't pay off my truck when I could have. We decided to save the cash in case the remodelers found something that needed repair but I guess I'm buying 900 sq/ft of flooring instead.

We don't have to move furniture. The apartment is furnished. This complex is very close to the college and I think only rents to college students but I'm not sure. Anyway, it shouldn't be too bad except the 3.5 hour drive each way and starting out at around 6am. I'll have to drive the whole way there since my wife will be a zombie.

On a different note, I had something weird happen this morning. I got out of the shower and went to get dressed in the closet. When I came back out and went into the bathroom there was a snake in the middle of the bathroom. I grabbed a bag from downstairs and put it in there and took it outside. We've never had a snake in the house and it was weird to me that it was in the bathroom on the second story.

Not to scare you or anything, but, I have seen where they came in through the toilet.
Wife had a small black snake in her bathroom a few months ago, Lucky was standing at the bathroom door, barking like crazy, took me a few minutes to find out what he was going crazy about, gave him a treat for letting us know.:thumb: Some years back she had a tree frog jump out of the toilet (while she was sitting on it) onto her leg and then the shower wall, now that was one hell of a scream she let out, startled the hell out of her. I know of no way to block critters from doing that from time to time.

We did get my daughter moved into the apartment Saturday. It's a nice place. We didn't know that one of the girls had been living there already and the other had moved in a month prior for basketball camp or training. We didn't get to meet them but my daughter did. I guess they said hello but didn't interact much. Maybe they are afraid of the virus. I'm sure they will warm up to each other over time.
