The one brother in law we probably haven’t seen in person three times this year then the beginning of December he’s all hyped for Xmas calling everyone. He’s also very narcissistic and can be difficult to get along with. It was just like him to make other plans Xmas Eve when everyone wanted to get together. I’m so sick of trying to shop for gifts for everyone in her family when it’s not from the heart but just an obligation.

Got my booster of J&J today and, unlike the first one, this has me with a headache which I rarely get.

Anyway, that wasn't the main reason for this post. As I'm waiting out that 15 minute post jab, a little old lady walked up to the consultation window at Walmart (first one was at the hospital but they stopped giving them, makes you wonder why). However, I digress.

The lady proceeds to tell the pharmacist that her son in law had both the first and second shot plus booster and he had just tested positive for Covid. Her daughter had both the first and second shot but not the booster yet and she wanted to know if she should go and get the booster now.

Quickly the pharmacist told her no and that, living together, she's probably infected already so she should wait for a few weeks before she considers getting the booster. The lady seemed satisfied with the answer and then said , "Fine, my daughter had Covid already last year". What the heck are we doing, this is insanity.

I had a bit of a headache last night but was fine in the morning. If I were younger and in the shape I was most of my life, I wouldn't have even gotten the shot. I actually got the first one in an effort to get the gf to get it but that didn't work. She's a firm believer that it's all BS. When you hear stories like the lady I heard yesterday, it makes you wonder. She was well into her 80s I'd guess so I'm assuming her daughter and SIL are 60ish. Fully vaxed and both getting Covid.

As time goes on I hear about more breakthrough infections. I’m not surprised as different variations of the virus are found. I’m guessing they will need to adjust the vaccine some. I’m still planning on getting the booster later this week.

Happy new years! Hopefully this one's less of a crap shoot.

I got a tetanus and Pfizer booster on the 27th also. My birthday was the 28th, so my plan was using potential side effects to have people not bother me for a day. I was a little achy and had a headache until the 24 hour afterwards mark and hit a 101 degree fever out of nowhere. I ended up sleeping for 14 hours and just felt hungover the rest of the 29th.

We had a mostly quiet Christmas. With my brother having moved to Seattle and my wife sparring with her sister, we only had the mom's and brother in law at our house on Christmas eve.

Then on Christmas day one of my best friends that lives out of state that I haven't seen in 5 years rolled up my driveway with an enormous camper. He finished his certifications for welding inspections and got a job that sends him all over the nation for months at a time. Rather than be away from his fiance and dogs for most of the year, they decided to buy the camper and roam about like nomads. They're on their way to the Seattle area for an 8 month contract and took the long way through MI from VA to visit folks before heading west.

The only bad part is they have a quarter million into the truck/trailer combo and now my wife wants one.

I got my booster two days ago. After getting sick with the second shot I was sure I’d get sick again but didn’t. I was a little tired yesterday and my arm was barely sore. I was truly surprised.

I’ve had my welding inspector certification for about 15 years now but barely use it at my job. I think my boss just wanted bragging rights that he had a CWI on staff. I probably don’t do 15 certification tests a year and don’t go out on field calls for inspection. To me it seems like a waste as expensive as it is to keep up. Soon I have to do an online boot camp to get my 80 education hours for my next nine year renewal. Every three years you have to send them a check for renewal and every nine you have to have education hours to turn in with your renewal.

Hopefully the renewal fees are inexpensive or your boss helps you out with it. I remember my friend saying the initial classes/testing were pretty bad. He was doing it all out of pocket to get away from purely welding for the rest of his career.

I don't recall where I've seen you mention Bull City Flavors, but I made an order with them yesterday. I've been making a Hangsen RY1/Hangsen Turkish Blend juice for years and finally ran out of flavoring. Now with the FDA crap I can't find Hangsen flavors anywhere so I hit them up for a decent variety.

I've been ordering from Bull City for years. I don't buy any commercial liquids any more. They get the bulk of my business but sometimes you have to go elsewhere to get what you need. Here is a place that carries Hangsen Hangsen Flavor Concentrates (diyvaporsupply.com)

I also sometimes order from Chefs Flavours in the UK since some flavors aren't sold in the US. Chefs Shots – Chefs Flavours LTD

Also I've ordered a couple times from nomnomz in the UK. Nom Nomz UK - The Home of Flavours - DIY Flavour Concentrates

My boss does pay all of my fees or I wouldn't do it. I forget how much the seminar and test were but I think over 2k back when I took it. Now I think it's around 4-500 every three years plus 80 per year for membership to AWS. The 9 year renewal is more but I forget how much.

I saw diysupply had ry2 and ry3, no ry1 though. It's probably about time I've tried something else as it's been an all day everyday mix for about the last 6 years.

I used to make a vanilla tobacco mix, but I don't remember which vanilla it was. I grabbed a couple to try, so hopefully it'll be a nice change of pace all around.

Have you ever tried NETs? Stixx Mixx has some good ones.

A couple weeks ago northerner sent me a $15 coupon for filling out a survey and thought I’d use it to get some jakobsson but it’s been out of stock for the whole time so I emailed them and some idiot replied and tried to tell me jakobsson was discontinued. Well, snuscentral and a few others have it.

I've tried a few in the past, but in my experience they were coil killers and I'm lazy when it comes to rewicking in a timely fashion.

Speaking of discontinued, I finished my last can of thunder berry this week. Sad it's no longer available.

It was my first snus of the morning every day at work for years. I think I have 3-4 cans left in the freezer I’m saving for a special occasion or something. They are making it in chew bags but we can’t order it for some reason.

I have 5 cans left, but only open a can for vacation or something once a year. Don't understand why they quit making it for us, but make they make the chew bags that we can't get. It sucks. :(

I've seen the chew bags online and asked about them on the snuscentral FB page and they can't be sold in the US but I really don't know why.

I had to find a video describing chew bags since this is the first I heard of them. I don't think I need a bag to chew down on to get extra nicotine and potentially niccups.

From what I understand, you don’t have to chew them. I think the bag material is just tougher than a normal portion.

I got another email response from Northerner and I guess what they meant is that they may no longer carry Jakobsson snus. That's the only reason I bought from them. I told them it was disappointing how they are moving further and further away from carrying snus and that the selection has become so small that I won't be ordering from them again.

I never ordered from them as they were so limited on what they have. I put in very large orders to get the shipping cost down to under $.60 per can, so I want everything in stock. Seems I tend to order mostly from Snus Central as they have a good selection and most of the time it is in stock, so I get my orders in under 3 days.
