Nothing much to say. No bras to do........ or undo. Daydreaming about an upcoming vacation up to Door county.

Got some rain a few days ago. About an inch or more in the area. The first good rain since late May. Don't even have to water the garden for a bit, though it's going to get very hot........ again.

Yes, one of my boss people is a woman!

It is RAINING!! Bout frickin time.

I'm supposed to go to training tomorrow. Sposed to be 99 degrees tomorrow. I am NOT working my dogs in that heat. If I don't go, I am not a team player. I'm seriously considering leaving the boys at home and just going to do my part as training director. Not like anyone actually wants to hear anything I have to say, so it is pretty much an empty title. Whatever.

Hj is down to only 3mg of prednizone every other day and he is still feeling great. No new body parts have fallen off either. His bloodwork from a few weeks ago came back too, everything looks pretty good. Yeah!! Titus's blood work was all over the place, indicating that he was on death's door. Titus's blood work has always done that though, and he's five so I've learned to not panic. I think Titus has his own version of normal and that seems to work for him.

Maybe I should do with them what I do with my own healthcare...refuse to take any test that I suspect I may be upset by the results. My dr just loves that.

Good morning. Axl just do what you think is right. You are the one looking out for their welfare.

I got a good start on the bathroom remodel yesterday and am feeling it in my legs and back. I started to lay the tile out for a sample fit last night. I came out with all whole tiles leading to the door but have a space of just a couple inches to where it meets the hardwood in the hallway and am not sure if I should just cut some really small pieces to go there or if that would look funny.

I suggest you can get rid of the heat real easy, replace your A/C units. Since mine was replaced, the only day it was needed was the day after. It works for me all the time. My new snow blower last year gave us the mildest winter in years. :p

Hey Axl, I've found that plan works for me. If I feel good, I see no reason to go to a doctor for him to give me something to worry about. Then if I feel ill, I'm not in the mood to go anywhere. Learn that from an old Amish man who was asked why he didn't fix the hole in his roof. He said "Well let me tell you, when it's raining, it's too slippery and dangerous to fix, and when the weather's nice, it's as good as any man's roof."

Hitt, never tried tiling, good luck with that. I'd try finding a web site and get someone with experience to give a recommendation. Just thinking about it though, wouldn't you start with whole tiles from the door and put your cut pieces to the back sides of the room? Curious about the answer.

You are always fixing something, Hitt!! You are ambitious!!

    Roth, I like that philosophy.

I know you guys are probably sick of hearing about my dogs' ailments. But here I go again. Stupid Titus threw up some time in the night. Not TOTALLY unheard of with him so I didn't really think much of it. Today at training he threw up multiple times and it smelled like poo. He is not a poo eater so I am not sure what that was about. He feels just fine. I didn't work him hard today and kept his cooling vest on him most of the day so I know I didn't overheat him. If he lives the next few days I need to buy a cooling vest for Hj as well. I just hate to buy them new stuff right now as at any given moment I'm pretty resigned to the fact that I may likely only have one dog soon!! Just not sure which one it is gonna be!!!

Axl, I'm not the ambitious one. My wife is. I'm just the sucker that happens to be in the same room as her. I finally got all the tiles cut and ready to mortar in place. That took a lot longer than I thought but there were some pretty tricky cuts. I ended up putting the three small pieces at the entry. My thought is that when I walk into the room that I look to the wall and not at my feet. I may be wrong but I think it looks good.

Man Axl, I feel for you. Every time I watch T Bear waddle his way around and use all his effort to work up the steps of my deck I wonder how much longer, but T is 12 1/2, not at all bad for a Golden. Your dogs are so young to be having all the issues.

So you finished the floor? That sounds great and as long as your happy, that's all the matters. Unless of course the wife decides it should have been done differently. :)

Hey Hitt, what time were you posting at last night? I never know if I'm seeing your time or mine when I see a post? I 2:18AM on my end which wouldn't be too bad your time, but if it was that your time, it's going to make for a short night and a really long day/week. Keeping those kind of hours are only for the retired.

Hey Axl!! I sure hope it isn't canine lupus. My mom had a dog with that. The vet worked on it for almost 2 years. It was frustrating and expensive. We'll keep hoping for the best for your boy.

We are expecting a puppy next week to replace the lab we lost this spring. I'm happy about having another dog around, but not really looking forward to having a tiny terror in the house again.

Looks like a cool night tonight, with the possibility of some actual rain tomorrow night. We really need it. I have had weddings every weekend for a month. I sure could use some down time.

    Anybody see gutter lately?

Thinking about hitting the rack early tonight.

Hitt, I thought you'd be a 2 hour difference, but that was pretty late. Mom took the early morning bus ride to the hospital again. 4:30 call but they said she wanted the emergency personnel instead of me although the alert people told me she was okay. I thought that strange, but around 5 I called a second call from the house to say she was complaining about being dizzy and delivered her to ER. I waited till 6:30 went to ER and she was ready to go home. She says she'll use her walker from now on. We'll see.

Axl, you didn't clear the room, nobody was around. I think Hitt and I were doing sleepy time catch up and everyone else has been pretty AWOL. However I see FC showed up between getting married every weekend. I mean going to weddings. Terriers are great if you don't mind the yapping.

I'm still tired, maybe an early night is in the making. Morning Cardio appt. tomorrow.

Good morning. Roth, sorry about the trouble with your mom again.

Well I'm back to work today. People were on my .... the minute I walked in. It's nice to be needed but sometimes it wears on me. It doesn't look like much work came in the two days I was off. I did have a message from one of my regular customers and he's sending in a guy for a welding test later so that should eat up most of the afternoon. My commission is going to suck. It's been really busy the past three months and then this month things tanked.

Hitt, is summer or winter busier for you? Or does it stay about the same?

FC, I hope it isn't canine lupus too, but at least if it were, I'd have a for sure diagnosis. So far I just have a VERY long expensive list of things it is not.

Have fun with the new pup!

Geez, so my chest has been hurting for going on three weeks. It hurst mainly when I have my arm extended out in front of me and cross it over my chest. It is either the longest heart attack ever or I have pulled a muscle without noticing?? It's starting to scare me a bit.

Axl, you really should go to the health thread and suggest that you're trying to determine if it's from vaping or snus use. That should start a heated debate. :p  I haven't visited there for months, maybe I should since I've read some of the most bizarre stuff that get debated there. Anyone remember the fellow from Hawaii with the "sensitivities". That was almost SNL quality stuff.

Speaking of health just broght me back to this morning and mom's cardio appointment. First, her bloodwork came through stellar which is amazing since her diet consists of cereal, Ensure, half a TV dinner or perhaps the whole dinner (between lunch and dinner), a bunch of cookies and coffee. However, the first time we were there the nurse helped my mom get into the gown to do the EKG. This time, she did her PB and handed her the gown and told her to put it on and she'd be back for the test. WELL! mom wasn't having any luck with sitting on the exam table and getting her blouse off and understanding the gown had to be worn with the opening in the front so I had to help.

Her comment to me was that it was nothing I hadn't seen before, but to be honest, it was the first time I ever saw what they look like on a 93 1/2 year old woman. Then I learned what a belly button hernia looks like. For those uninitiated (I'm having an issue even typing this), I learned from the Dr that the 2 inch wide by 2 inch pushed out belly button was her intestines. The Dr said it was nothing to worry about and she said it pushes right back in, but pops back out. I wasn't watching thank goodness. I know one thing, I'm not prepared for a run to that age myself and I'm glad mom checked out well enough that she's not scheduled for the next visit till April.

So I went up to the desk for what I expected was to set up the next appointment and get the paperwork for her next bloodwork. Instead, they gave me an appointment card to call in Feb. That hit me as strange but I figure they figure perhaps the paperwork and the appointment might not be needed six months from now for a 94 year old heart patient.

Enough on medical care for the severely elderly. I wish my sister would retire......

Good morning. Axl, usually the summer is more busy for me but for some reason this month things dropped off sharply. Sorry about the chest pain. If it only hurts when you move a certain way then it probably is a muscle or nerve thing I would guess.

Roth I do remember that guy you mentioned. It was an incredible story. It sounds like you are doing most of the leg work with your mom. I'll bet your sister is glad that you retired so she doesn't have to take off work to go with her.
