I'd suggest you check everything out - including your Battery. I have 4 Nemesis and with a 18650 NMKE they all slam. No voltage drop issues at all. Did you do a thorough cleaning on receipt?

I use several batteries including MNKE. mod is cleaned etc..just my luck maybe

I prefer hot spring bypassed UD AGI from USA vendor but FT Pulse G is a top performer.
Quality is good.
Tank edge is clear and flat but small divots are barely visible on tank edge outside corner.
Finish isn't quite mirror but looks close enough to polish w/o sanding.
Much smoother surface than FT Nemesis but not as slick as mirror AGI.
0.9v voltage drop with 1.2 ohm coil on FT brass nemesis vs 0.21v AGI w/ crude spring mod.
No idea why cap has 2 holes; I'm taping one until I find a better solution?
Vape quality is better than AGI but AGI looks sweet and has decent vapor quality.
I don't like the visible o-rings; I prefer AGI hidden o-rings.

Summary: buy both.

I have a brass Caravela clones ( not from FT, but from a manufacturer they buy from).
Finish is flawless, logo is correct, button is nice and smooth
Adjustable pin sux. It's a no go for button tops... Huge gap that can't be adjusted away.

Overall it's a fantastic mod just beware the battery size issue and the solid top pin.(it's just a screw )

0 voltage drop when fired without atty.
Hits like a truck.
I keep all my mods spotless inside.
Only my hammer clone has noticeable voltage drop due to the switch/inner tube thingy, and it's only noticeable when I'm sub-ohm dripping.

Keep you mods clean and check the connectors regularly.
If you have a mod that has a noticeable voltage drop its usually either in need of a good cleaning, or something isn't right with the mod.

Bumping this to see if anyone has an updated opinion on fasttech clones-been a while since anyone posted in this thread and with time comes new toys and there could be something new everyone recommends! :) I'm looking to order my first mechanical mod. Would prefer to have one that doesn't have the fire button on the bottom though. (at least I think thats what I want in order to keep from accidentally firing it)... Thanks for input guys!!!

been vaping for a few months now and want to try a mod and a couple of rba clones. i have a few questions that have been asked a zillion times before but here`s one more. which mods from fasttech are the best fit and finish? i want something that looks and feels good quality and something where the threads won`t wear out in 2 months.

right now i`m using aw imr 18650 unprotected flat tops in my vamo. can i use these in the mod? do i need protected batts? or a kick?

i rebuild protank coils and have i have an ohm meter plus the vamo to check ohms and shorts and understand the dangers of a bad coil on a mod. what i don`t understand completely is how the batt and coil work without burning up. i adjust my vamo to the coil and the juice and my coils last forever:D Is the power going to the coil solely controlled by how long you hold the fire button? as an example right now i`m vaping a DIY RY4 in a protank on my vamo with a 2.5 coil @ 4.1 volts and i get a great hit with a 5 second hold on the fire button with great flavor and vapor and no burnt taste. would my result be the same on the mod with the same coil? i want to understand more before i place an order. thanks for any help. :toast:

Lol as everyone has said already, the nemesis (get the magnet switch upgrade, it's like 1.50, makes it buuuuttery), I got the copper one and it has a better volt drop than my atomixani! However I have the stainless original so, not fair to compare that, but still! The copper nemesis with the magnet is one of the best mechanicals I own. The only two that beat it are the stingray clone (from fast-tech, with the magnet), and my authentic JDTech black copper stingray, that's my fave .

-The Trident, I cannot support, maybe unfairly because I did "cram" a twisted 28gauge in the post slots (I firmly pulled them into place, no hard effort), but when I screwed down the caps, they chipped off the out part of the slit, very brittle metal on the posts. It lasted a good month and a half so it paid it's 11 dollar self off lol, but I wasn't impressed at that point. It feels slightly tougher than solder...if you don't force anything in, or tighten down with ridiculous force it's awesome and vapes just as good as my grand-vapor trident, which is awesome!

-The only other thing I've gotten through FT is a Vamo V5, and it's a purdy little machine. Very nice, shiny, stainless steel, and not a "vamo rip-off" of any kind it's the real deal for 28$ (by itself no battery). Some may argue that it's a cheap APV but it does what my provari did and more (you can go as low as 1.2ohms, and up to 30watts in voltage mode!, got a decent 5 amp limit too, the only APV's that beat it are dna30's and they are more expensive for the chip alone, let alone the box they come in ). The only grip alot of people have with them, is that it come is two press fitted pieces joined in the middle, if you sit on it, it may come apart, but you can tap it back together yourself. Just being honest here, the second "stripe" up from the bottom is where it's fitted, and it blends in with the other engraving perfectly, HOWEVER, if you try to bend it with quite some force, you can feel an ever-so-slight "jiggle". It's well fitted together but not bonded if that makes sense. It doesn't bug me because I personally hold it and don't usually bend my apv's, but it may bug some.

-E-bay is just as much a friend to me if not more, because the prices are almost identical (a tad more pricey), but here's the best part...YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT A MONTH FOR IT TO SHIP! (I still love the crap out of fast-tech though, it's my; "I'm not sure if I want this, but want to try it out." Basically my NetFlix for vaping equipment. That's copyrighted by me now.

How about polished brass stingray?

It's great bce! Make sure you get the one with the magnetic switch, it's surprisingly really close to my authentic! The only thing better I'd have to say on my authentic are the threads, and the engravings (which you can tell aren't done by a laser). And who cares about those, you have to put your nose to it to tell anyway, they're both just a shiny :D. Go for it.

They're kind rare vj, but I found some for ya :). My personal favorite is the stainless steel poldiac mod $33.76 Poldiac Style Mechanical Mod Kit - stainless steel version at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
They also have an even cheaper (17$) version that can only use 18650 (which is all I and alot of people use anyway).

-However type in the search "side firing button", and there's 4 or 5 to choose from :D. I like the poldiac above because the button doesn't stick out, you can pretty much knock it over and it won't fire even then. I'm thinking I may get it, darnit you got me thinking now. :p
