OK - So I'm torn between the VV Monkeyboxx and the Red Sky VV Cutlass.

I like the inside of the Monkeyboxx better than RSM guts, but the Monkeyboxx is no longer custom made to order since Tom is back in school (you can still pick from a selection of options though). I like the sleeker look of the RSM....

Does anyone know what regulator the Monkeyboxx uses - if there's a difference it might help me make up my mind....!

The Wooder Man Mobile

The above link can shed some light on the regulator. From this link, click on DIY - your own box mod parts.....then you can view the regulator that's used in the MB.

Hey, FOA.....I have written to Tom the wooderman through his website themonkeyboxx.com and pm'd him twice asking about the monkeyboxx and no response. Its been a week and a half now.
both the monkeyboxx and RedSkyMods use a switching regulator.
3A Adjustable step down switching voltage regulator
you can't go wrong with either of them. RSM has a few more features (allow use of different batteries and so longer batt life, regulator bypass so you can vape at 3.7, 6 or 7..V and check how much charge you have left) and the waiting is shorter.
the MB has a better ergonomic format (fits better on the hand) and you can pick a cool engraving. this is gonna sound weird but i like holding the monkey better!!

Tom is in school, so he has slowed his monkeyboxx business down. He no longer accepts custom orders and I think if you want one you need to subscribe to the newsletter on his site (Home - currently showing as down for maintenance), this way when he has new boxes ready you'll get an email.

I ordered an RSM this week - you may still be able to get in on this run. PM Capt' Brian and see if he'll take onw more, but the selection may be limited at this point - since so many have ordered...?...

I see the info on the regulators in the other posts above - so I'm all good as far as that goes - and I saw the parts he sells on the website - googled the regulator to get an idea of the specs (not that I completely understand), but I can kinda follow along... :) - but I have no clue what this means 'TTL shutdown capability' - anyone?

Ive never had a bottom feed b4 I love the look of the wood just dont know about performance compared to the provari would be.I am looking for the most convenient.

I have one of the first RSM VV mods nice for sure but just got a Provari with extension cap and I like it better. More versatile for me right now. I can drip, or drop a tank on it or carto if I wont but each is to his own in this game LOL :)

I guess it all depends what you wont out of a mod.

I am a big Bottom feeder fan and have more BF mods then any thing right now. But for VV Tube mods its ether the Buzz Pro or Provari for me. :)

I also love my Buzz. But.....I am definitely a bottom feeder guy also. The Reo changed everything for me. I really wish it were easier to buy a monkeyboxx. I will probably buy a RSM Cutlass because its easier to acquire. I don't hear back from The Wooder Man. I wish I would cause I have the $300 from EQV1 and its just sitting here....

Its still a few months out and will not be released in tell he knows 100% that it will preform to his standards.

I also have the ProVari and I'd have to say if you can ONLY buy one of them, go for the ProVari. It's super dependable, after 5 months of daily use it still operates as it did on day one. IT IS hard to choose since the provari doesn't have the feeder capability, but it's other features make up for it. One feature I love is that it measures the resistance of your atties. Want to use an atty on another mod, but not sure of the resistance, just pop it on the provari, scroll through the menu to Ao and there it is... SO, if you can deal with dripping or can find a solution like MX has then get the provari... JMO

DISCLAIMER: I don't have my RSM VV yet, so I can't say anything about it's durability, function, etc. It may be as, if not more, durable than the Provari - just passing on my joy at owning a provari...

BTW - you're question was not off topic at all - that's what we're doin' here... trying to figure how to spend our money while we wait, and wait, and wait..... :)

I guess I really dont know what to expect from a bottom feeder.I just really like the look of them the wood is just a nice look. I have all the tanks and everything like that.I just want something with a great hit/flavor and thats convenient. I have read all over and really cant find how a bottom feeder really operates. I know you squeeze the bottle and u vap and that just sounds REALLY easy.I would want to use a atty on mine sounds like its the best way to go I see some people use cartos.I guess my question is how is the overall taste from the bottom feeder compared to the Provari? I appreciate the help to.

Yeah, the bottom feeder IS that simple. Just squonk the bottle a bit and the juice feeds up into the connector end of the atty. Then, a "SSS", which is a Short Sharp Suck to bring the juice up to the coil of the atty and you're good for 7-10hits until you squonk again. I find the flavor to be very close to as good as driping into an atty on a tube mod. Its really convenient to leave the house for ten hours with a bottom feeder that uses an 18650 battery and houses 6 mls of juice. You just squonk and vape all day long. I do it every day with my Reo Grand.

Well this is just my 2c Vaping is so subjective. We are all different and our needs are different That said.

Bottom Feeders are easy to use and will give good flavor. Get a good one it will last you a life time IMR 18650 3.7 with a LR atty and your cooking. or Lifopo4 3.2x2 for 6v with a 2.5 to 3.0 atty rocks the house. for me.

Dripping Best flavor IMO wit a VV mod you can rock any atty where you wont it. But your packing juice and it can be a mess.

Carots OK Flavor but easy to pack a few around and these days there's a lot of tanks so you got juice on hand. But with a good VV tube mod can be a rely nice easy vape. Toss in a good tank and your well on your way to a all day unit with no fuss.

Now in the world of cartos we can spend a few days going over that.

It comes down to this what are you looking for. I think that is what I meant by what do you wont out of a bottom feeder

I am trying to help but right now on the desk and most days I will have two VV tube mods one with tank one with atty one Bottom feeder set at 3.7 with a LR atty. One Bottom feeder with 6v set with a 2.5 or 3.0 pending on the day. and a what not to play with.

And at least 3 flavors of juice and two nic levels. I am all over all day. But 90% bottom feeder (REO)

Now when I hit the Road or need something I do not need to fuss with its a REO Bottom feeder.

That is just my 2c nothing more

Rambling on buddy's Rambling on :)

Thanks for the info, brother. I hear you loud and clear. Perhaps I will just wait for the vv reo because it will probably become the best vv feeder almost instantly.
