Its just a rough photoshop rendition of what it would look like if the V-mod XL's cone is replaced by a Jonboy tank top. Sadly they replied they were too busy to make a custom top for the V-mod. I asked another machinist to do it for me but using black delrin. It would be nice if they could have accommodated. But Oh well. I will post the finish product in a couple of weeks.

Know a fair bit about HMG and import tax having fallen foul of it any number of times when I lived at home.

I can relate a story of courteousness and help that flies in contradiction to the one above but hey you can only speak as you find. I am sorry that was your experience and knowing Vapage I wouldn't write them off quite yet, mind you negative post on the forums blaming them for import tax they have no control over is not a great starting place.

The rubber washers were needed in the older version of the VMod. The V2 and XL does not need of them so they stopped putting them on.

I've got to get to one of these meets. I still haven't had the surgery yet. So I want to try and go to one b4. I will bring my tricked out Vmod. I just ordered and received 3 sheets of vinyl to skin APVs or cars or my small children or anything. Really great prices for really awesome product. I just cut and installed a piece on the batt cover of a box mod and it was rather easy.

I dont know what the inside of the photoshopped tip looks like, but cant you use a tapered drill bit to hollow out the inside until the cone fits inside, fasten and drill airholes?

i must admit i was seriously considering selling my vmod. but i'm in an unforeseen tight vaping spot, and i will never ever abandon it. it's a solid backup. plus i think i've finally learned to appreciate the squonky ritual. assembling it is also really fun.
although the switch has been popping out lately, and i could stand to replace an o-ring.

The problem is structural integrity, metal nut ring sleeve and aesthetics, no clearance problems on the Jonboy top. The diameter of the tap is 3.18mm larger than original hole on top of it the metal nut ring sleeve. If it was made of the stainless tops then the problem would just be aesthetics to illustrate look at the pic below.

This is what it looks like if you just hollowed it out and don't run into any problems with the structural integrity. if you grind out the bottom of the Jonboy top, the part where it goes in the tube, then you will run into clearance problem, its too short.

Is the inside of the Jonboy smaller than the metal cone? If so, the JB can be cut flush at the underside of flat ring that is just above exposed oring. Then plow out the inside of the JB so the cone fits snug, epoxy the cone to JB, drill air holes. Then the JB w newly attached cone will thread on as 1 piece. I am a finish carpenter. I'm sitting here looking at my Vmod and your photo and envisioning a nice finish. Its always easier said than done.

Nice. Is it DiNoc?

With out looking at the site I want to say no. They do have a more expensive type, which is what I'm assuming your referring to. They have everything from what I showed, which is paper thin to stuff that you can literally wrap your car in.
