The general consensus for most vapers is:

a) you start with clearomizers because they're easy. Fill, forget.
b) their inconsistency pisses you off.
c) You have a couple choices at this point:
a) top-wicking clearos (CE-whatevers, the iClear 16/30's)
b) bottom-coil clearos (Kangers, Evods, Protanks, etc)

If clearos are starting to piss you off, try cartomizers (or carto tanks).

If you were warned from carto tanks because you were new, and clearomizers aren't satisfying you anymore, maybe it IS time to try out a carto tank, anyway. It's not difficult to master, all you need is a little practice. A mentor or a decent B&M is all you need to figure cartos out.

I was deathly afraid of cartos when I first started, mostly because I couldn't understand why so many veterans preferred them to clearos. It was all simply a learning curve I hadn't mastered yet. And the learning curve for cartos really isn't all that hard to master. It's worth a shot.

I would give second thought to anyone suggesting you dive into "rebuildables". If you are still relatively new to vaping and cartos give you problems, I will 100% guarantee a rebuildable set-up will make you so frustrated, you'll go back to smoking out of spite.

Over six months in now, I'm using mostly clearos (PT2, IClear 30, etc) on top of MVP2, IGO-L to test new stuff (wow, 3 or 4 drops last a LONG time), bridged atomizer for the same reason, and yeah, gotta own up to it, I still really like cigalikes (different refilled cartos on a 510XL) with my morning coffee, or a lot of times while driving, or playing guitar or keyboards. Just so much easier for those times. But...going carto is my next move. Been reading about it for 6 months, time to give it a try!

right now im debating on the Boge 510 XL LR Stainless. back in the day before i quit vaping i learned how to do it right but like we talked earlier a lot has changed!

For filling the boge's (only applies to non flanged cartos). I still like the condom method. Super easy.

I have been vaping for almost 3 months now completely analog free. Since I've gotten off cigarettes I have tried so many different styles of vaping. Currently I own an igo-w, a t2 clearo, 2 iClear 30s, a protank mini, a protank 2, a few atomizers, assorted cartomizers, etc. etc. etc.

Recently I got my iTaste SVD and AGR+ carto tank stolen at a Halloween house party. I was so SO bummed because in everything that I have tried that had been my favorite vape (not to mention that wasn't exactly a cheap set up to lose)! I think I am a carto guy and I feel like since the shift has moved to rebuildables the cartos have gotten left in the dust.

Who still uses cartomizers?
and for those of you out there...

What is your current carto set up?
pictures are always appreciated

I'm thinking of switching to a cartomizer because I find the tank thing pretty frustrating.

I use cartos(no tanks). I reckon tanks mute flavour.
How so? The carto is what is creating the vapor, the tank is simply a reservoir that "auto-fills" the carto to keep it at a consistent level of saturation. The tank shouldn't affect the function of the carto in any way other than to ensure that the polyfill doesn't have peaks/valleys of liquid.

I use carto tanks almost exclusively. I have an evod, t3, iclear30 and a couple ce4's and some unknown cheap RBA, but I always find myself going back to the carto tank setup. I keep a couple of them in my pocket when I go out with different flavors so I can change it up at will.

That's how I roll carto tanks are what I started with and was able to quit smoking cold turkey, BC they are so reliable and portable, plus they take very little effort, I can fill a new tank, prime carto (condom method) in 3 min n be on my way. You will be there to. I just ordered a bunch of mechanical aid, couple Genesis Style RBA's and a kayfan and a fogger, clones, I will have 4 RBA's and k2 Clone for like 50 bucks
But I well always depend on my ProVari and a couple carto tanks.
