Hey Mojo
On 3/4 everything was officially shipped, there was a mistake regarding the order of waiting for the V4 adapters or not.

Sorry, I meant when will it be in stock...

Will I be able to use my LifeP04 3.0 v's with the extended sleeve?

Anyone care to comment on throat hit with kr808 cartos and the short sleeve with 1 batt. I need a stealth machine for work and want the best TH possible.

Thanks

"tat" in an upscale fashion!!!!! LOL

LOL - I guess we could just call it a tat-like chameleonesque graphic!

I wonder if spraying a clearcoat over it would help prolong it's life? Anyone know if the Chameleon's beautiful finish would be screwed up with a clear coat?

Hey Mike - you know - I thought about that. I just didn't have the patience to go in the paint booth, paint it and then wait for it to dry. I think you can paint anodized aluminum just fine - it just seems a shame to paint over such a durable finish.

I'm not too sure about that Mike, I'm not Huge in the paint/textures department, but I do know that the Chameleon already has a clearcoat type finish on it, to prevent scratches.

Hey Mojo, it's my fault on your question. I believe that they should be here from tomorrow to Friday. The average shipping time, for when the manufacture sends to me, is usually 1 week on the nose.
Yes your LifeP04's will indeed fit the sleeve. For Stealth vaping, I believe Chamel with and without sleeve this is the best choice for it. Without it only measures under 3 inches and with a 3.7V 16340/rcr123 your getting 4.2 volts at that size ;)
Here's a picture of it in hand with Kr cartomizer

Thank you MrsIkenmoke - I really do have that on there. After all the talk today about vinyl graphics, I decided to make a vinyl sticker at work today. I can't do the big stuff like WitchWay can (we sold out vinyl cutter too) - but I do have a laser cutter/engraver that I use on a regular basis to do vinyl graphics for clients.

It probably wont last - there's not much adhesive left after cutting such small pieces, but we'll see how it goes.

I was pretty stoked about it and thought I'd share.

Keep on Vapin!

Jason that is too cool! Very nicely done! Thank you for sharing! I think I can help make it last longer. I have some clear overlay that we use to put over our printed stuff to make it last longer. I wasn't sure how it would look on metal so I covered one of my Tornado batteries with it. The one on the left has the clear overlay and the one on the right does not

PM me your address and I'll send you a piece you can try. Worse comes to worse if you don't like it you can take it off again.

Thanks, Isaac - I didn't want it to be too over the top - just something simple. After seeing that picture so big on the screen - I gotta get to Lowes and get the correct o-rings. The ones I got from work to hold me over are just too big ....... Yikes!

Thanks, WitchWay - coming from someone in the graphics biz - that means a lot!

Wow - I can't even tell there's an overlay on that Tornado battery. Very cool idea!!

Keep on Vapin!

Awww thanks, but I think him putting the tat on the Chameleon is what is so cool. And he is right at that size it is not going to stay on long when your hand is rubbing over it. I happen to have something that will help so thought I'd offer. You've been so helpful and nice to me, I thought I'd Pay It Forward :)

No no - it's fine - I told you not to worry about it. I've just been too lazy to get to the store. I'll let you know if I still don't have them when I place my next order. ;)

911sc4me,

Just a curious question. If you used a laser engraver to cut the vinyl why didn't you use cermark instead and put that puppy on permanently. That is sweet and looks awesome.

Before being laid off last February due to the economy I done all the vector design work for a laser engraver. Cermark would definitely take on the Chameleon.

Very good question. I have used Cermark liquid and tape to mark stainless and raw aluminum in the past, but some grades of aluminum just don't accept it very well. Also, it's my understanding that it wont work on anodized coatings ...... only raw metal surfaces.

There's also the fact that I get board with things pretty quickly - and I might need to change it! :D

Actually - I could use the laser to mark the anodized surface. It would be white-ish in color, but permanent.

I still have access to the engraver. I might have to give it a shot on the short casing. I'm mainly using my Chameleon at 6 volts with the sleeve. Absolutely love it and can't wait to try my new cartos at 3.7 when they come in.

Good thing I ordered 2, one for me and one for the wife. If I mess mine up I'll switch it out with hers lol. yeah right.

I had success on SOME anodized so it's worth a shot.

Your right though. with a cool enough design you could throw this bad boy on the rotator and have a very subtle "white" design with straight engraving.

DeX - if you could get it to work - you'd be the man! I've got 2 60 watt lasers at work with the rotary fixture as well. I'd love to have a graphic going all the way around! That'd be SWEET!

Let me know how it goes ........ if you try it. I know my ex wouldn't have been thrilled to have her device be the guinea pig, but in the name of progress?!? I know ..... yeah right!

I'm using it a 6v right now too - just waiting for my 3.7v batts to come in ......... and some cartos as well. Very excited!

Got it, the overlay will go out in the morning :)

911sc4me,

Will the Cermark and engraver work with the clear coat that's on the Chameleon? Be cool if it does!

I got my Chameleon today, and have been using it for the last 5 hours or so.

My first impression was... this thing is tiny. I'm always amazed at how pictures on the forum always make mods look bigger than they really are. It works quite well, though. It will definitely be in my PV rotation.

I didn't buy the Chameleon because I thought it was bigger than it is. I have since looked at more pictures and someone has a pic of it sitting on a nickle that was the most help. With that help I figured out it is about the same size as a glue stick. I walked around for 15 minutes with a glue stick in my hand to get a feel for the size. Now I'm reconsidering getting one. Thank you for those that have taken the time to post pics!!

The button looks well recessed. Is it pocket friendly?

Welcome back Dante!

IMHO, yes it's pocket friendly. I have not put it into my pants pocket but I have in to my jacket pocket (Minnesota requires a jacket whenever I leave the house). I've not had an any fear of it going off but then it's in the pocket by itself. Thrown into a pocket full of stuff (especially a pocket that's more affected with your body's movement like a pants pocket would be) it might be more of an issues. The top of the button is flush is flush with the tube body so it'd be real hard to have it misfire but it is possible.

With the extension sleeve (and thus o-rings) installed it'd be VERy hard to misfire as the o-rings protrude slightly out from the tube body, thus further making a misfire improbable if not impossible!

Oh and before anyone goes and throws theirs into a pocket full of stuff, I know the finish can handle it but COME ON, doesn't it deserve a velvet lined case?!?! :)
