Careful with painting over. It will make the atty retain more heat than it is intended and you could end up blowing them faster! The atty won't cool as quickly and will heat up interior wise faster with the added coat.

Good point! I wonder if a light sanding (of the factory finish) and THEN a coat of paint would solve that potential issue?
Hell, how about someone makes HV attys in matte colors and then I could just buy them?!?!
Mike, even if painting doesn't end up overheating the atty - you'd still need to rough up the chrome to get get any paint adhesion. Even at that - I don't know if the paint would last very long without a self etching primer coat on top of the chrome finish.

I switch to 901s just to get the colors, love the purple, then fell in love with the 901s. For the attys that are not a color I want I wrap a piece of thin graphics vinyl around them and make them the color I want. The heat doesn't effect the vinyl at all and I haven't noticed those attys getting any hotter than the others. I have two 510s I've been using since Dec with vinyl on them and they are fine. Unfortunately I only have gloss vinyl or I would offer to send you some to try.

Ok it's pouring rain here but I had hubby run out to the shop and get my 510 mega atty I had left out there. This is wrapped with purple vinyl though my cheapo camera make it look more blue, it's actually a dark purple.

Haha me too! I have a sample coming in along with the G120 atomizer, but I'm afraid only Chameleon, Extensions and their USB's are only coming this round. We're just waiting for my supplier to obtain rights to sell Green E-cig products, which turns enables us too!

Thank ya thank ya! The swirls is the actual aluminum underneath the paint. I sorta free spun it. Let the wheels turn as the battery spun in my hands by the wheel force.
