Hubby's broad sword is like that. It is acutally a usuable replica of the sword in Highlander. Not the katana he uses later, but his first sword. I can't hardly pick it up let alone swing it. Don't know how they ever fought with those.

Ok 1st is your classic Katana, I personally don't care for them all that much, I picked it up as a 3 set a while back. It's the colors that do it. Red & black = gorgeous lol

The 2nd is these guys, they actually came in a set of 2 with pretty nice decorated wooden wall mounts, but crazy mental images of one falling down on a kiddie, they had to come down, they're razor sharp, weigh 2 lbs and measure 17 inches

Now for the prized grand daddy.
Measuring 4ft in length and coming in just under 9 lbs.

I love both the 2nd and 3rd ones!
Yeah Katana's unless true Japanese made are not great. Back in the wilder days my boyfriend at the time and friend were using some in a mock fight and had one just break really easy : ( Dude had a bit of a scar from that one lol
lol They do feel fragile, but oh man, that sucks bad. I was just looking for a funny sword injury vid and guess what I find! Notice the 1st one he displays. i mean, what are the odds of that! YouTube - The Perils of Cheap Fantasy Swords
It just dawned on me what the second one reminded me of...
this one...

That last one he displays is beautiful

Yeah it is, now I'm going to have to go check the site out he mentions lol
Grendels has pretty wall swords, at his prices I doubt I'd want to swing them but some are meant to be decorative. I'm eyeing 2-3 he has now to go up on the wall in the pirate room lol

Oh my! United Cutlery for wholesale movie replicas, collectible blades, traditional knives & swords.
YES!! Did you see the Kit Rae collection???
There's too may to name that are so amazing.

Oh yes, The one's from Kit Rae are all awesome.. I know where some money is going next lmao
Prices are really reasonable for them too and they look very well put together and the hilts don't have the "going to snap in 2 because too thin" look.

I need this one, but my husband may kill me lol Wonder if they ever have sales ? lmao
