Why does V2 get such a bad rap?

I bought a V2 starter set two years ago and just started vaping full time about two weeks ago.

I have since upgraded from those blase cartos to clearomizers and e-liquid and I am loving it! One day I would love to upgrade to an eGo, but since getting the clearomizers I am quite content with my V2 batteries (for now).

Anywho, in my never ending research on e-cigs, I have come across some of the most negative reviews and comments about the brand. Why do they have such a bad reputation? Personally, I haven't had any issues with them; matter of fact, they're replacing my manual battery free of charge! A lifetime warranty (even if for 5 replacements) is better than most companies seem to be offering.

Knowing what I know now, I most definitely would have gotten an eGo to start out with, but all in all, I like that they stand behind their products, and the prices seem decent and comparable to other cig-alike kits.

If it works for ya, go for it. It has a bad rap because it gets lumped up with all the other cig-a-likes, which have more negative reviews than positive.

Me and my wife started with V2, I have moved onto VV bigger battery, but my wife still uses her V2. I have to admit, if done more research, I would not gone with V2, not even for my wife who only wants a cig-a-like, because they are very over priced for what they are, there batteries are nothing fancy, but double the price of what you can get them kind of batteries, also they have a very limited supply of devices and flavors.

You can get much better starter devices for half the price of V2, I think they prey on people who know no better, yes they offer life time warranty, but have to placed a order in 90 days to be able to use it, and sure they can afford to offer that warranty for the prices on there products, look around and you will see what I am talking about.

I am grateful for finding V2, as me and the wife gave up using them, just think they need to stop ripping people off.

Yeah, I know that now... but two years ago the selection wasn't as vast as it is now. When I bought my set, it was a toss up between V2 and Blu for me XD

But even so, this style of battery is fine if you're not a heavy vaper.

I still use my skinny stuff as backup or sometimes for running around with a neat little case in a jacket pocket.
So I have nothing against 510 or 808 styles ecigs, either to start or even long term.
V2 just seems like it's over-priced, and among those HERE, a lot of folks are going to look at what they do as "price-gauging newbs".
Their prices are nearly double what other vendors offer for comparable product...
That's why people are negative towards them here - I think.

Hubby and I started out with V2's, also, around two years ago. After leaving their forums and finding ECF, I found the Volts by Smokeless Image. I liked that they had many options for battery colors and were less expensive than the V2's. 808's have a small following, still, as you see in this forum. Especially for those that like the cig-a-like look while out and don't want to be too conspicuous. We've tried the eGo batteries, too. I still have a few Volts that I use from time to time, but my eGo's are my out-and-about setup. I usually only vape in the car on the way to places, as I don't get out much. Otherwise, I use my APV's mainly. I just gave out my old V2 starter kit, without the carts, to someone in the PIF forum.

I credit V2 with saving my life.
Looking back I know I paid too much. I don't care one bit. They had a product that worked great for me and provided a sense of community and support to get me through the initial stages of this journey.

It can be. I certainly wouldn't steer anyone there knowing what I know now, but many people who stumbled in blind like I did received a good product and were well taken care of by the staff and each other.

I like the 808 style but I dont like V2 (or any of the other brands you see in stores.) The V2s, specifically, I only have used and can comment on the carts. They are overpriced, I just looked and they are 9.95 on their website, they are $12.95 at most stores here, although I know where where they are $6.95 (presumably falling off the back of a truck at that price.) At $6.95 they are still, in my opinion, not the best deal, although I actually bought quite a few of them while waiting for orders to arrive and figuring out how to get what I need mail order. The filler is low quality and gunks quickly, even the first reload deterioration is usually noticeable. They are also very inconsistent electrically - I got readings varying by a full ohm between different carts! Bloog and SI carts are so much better I am happy to pay more for them and wait for them to arrive in the mail.

i use v2s.just started just over a week ago.
i'll admit they are pricey.exspecially when bought locally.
2 batteries w/1 refill and charger each,50 dollars.
5 pack refill,21 dollars.
discovered there websight ordered 3 five packs for 30 dollars.
locally sorced 30 ml refill of 1.8 %nic 19.95.(menthol crush)
considering cigs are now 8 dollars or more a pack i'm still ahead 240 dollars aprox.
i like the product so i'm happy.
having just turned 58 and having health issues i dont regret it.
i really do feel a lot better allready.
my big mistake was a spur of the moment purchase locally.
anyway enjoy.

I'm looking into getting a V2, SI Volt or Halo G6 Starter Kit. Since they appear to be "similar" I'm thinking that, like printer/copiers, replacement cartridge prices may be a major factor "in the long run."

In checking their sites for cartridge cost I find V2 $1.50 each ($1.35 each with Vapegrl coupon code), SI Volt $1.79 each and Halo G6 $2.00 each. So I'm leaning towards scoring the V2.

I started with v2 in April . I bought a starter kit with one batt a USB charger and a red cart.
Since then I've purchased 3 more bats from v2 and used the per filled carts also the v2 clearomizers.
On June 5th I finally quit smoking and now vaping only.

I purchased the triton 650 bat , USB charger and a triton tank. The tank is great .
The triton is a great upgrade from v2 . Still use the v2 clearos with triton and have even purchased more.

Eventually I want to have just the triton tanks.
But for now they have been great for the transition. I used to go thru 2-3 v2 batts a day now it's the one halo triton bat and haven't needed to recharge in the same day

I have a triton 400 in mail should arrive tomorrow.

I use Johnson creek juice only

started with V2's, then ego style 1300 ma twin set, now vaping on a Provari with Protank 1 & II tanks, and looking at a genesis tank, but cant seem to pull the trigger. Used the V2's for 2 months, actually like there Vanilla a Coffee juice, Sahara ain't bad. Thought they had great customer service, and have been analog free for over 4 months. I blame the e-cig review sights for naming them the best.
